I added on packing paper to the order 3 days after placing it. 1) When the order arrived I found a bug in the bubble wrap. 2) I was asked to delay my pickup date, which I did even though tiny apartments in Chicago don't leave much room for storing large plastic tubs and it really messed with my ability to properly move in and decorate. 3) On pickup day the driver didn't want to take the elevator upstairs to pickup the boxes so I had to bring them down to the ground floor myself. On their website picking up boxes is included in the price. There were no stairs for him to navigate at all so there really wasn't an excuse for this. 4) A month after placing (and being charged for) my order I received a receipt for an additional charge. I called multiple times to figure out what the charge was for but no one ever answered the phone. I even responded to the text they sent but received no response. I did some math to figure out it was for the packing paper that I guess they forgot to charge for. This last issue is what really made me write this review. To go around charging people's card and not telling them what for is crazy. Not a horrible experience but I'll probably try another company next time.

This place is infested and when I moved out and found the infestation, I called the office and spoke to two people (one was a manager) who were both completely unapologetic and indifferent. Moral of the story is that they know there are rodents and don't care. It is clear they have done nothing to control the problem as no evidence of rodent exclusion and reduction was seen on the grounds. They also closed the one large loading dock to get more storage units in and now a moving truck can't even pull in to unload. This took way longer to move, plus the time it took to clean and disinfect my belongings and had to pitch some stuff as well. I guess they don't care if they inconvenience their customers as long as they can get the maximum rent - which by the way increases almost every month. An hour and half later I get a text due to the mattress and extra items the price would be an extra 100.00. There was a mattress no other items. If I was told at the pickup location the mattress would be 100.00 extra I would have left it. Be up front in pricing. You scammed me for extra 100.00 but you lost my move with a bigger price tag. If I stop by early in the morning or late in the evening, I'm typically done within 5 minutes. It's that easy. I love that the facility is climate controlled (for my own comfort primarily), and I don't have any concerns about safely, knowing that access is strictly monitored. The owner claims the issue is being taken care of but the mice never went away as every month I return to my unit and discover new damage! The contract you sign when renting the unit mentions no responsibility of the owner for any damage including damage done by rodents so you will be left on your own to deal with your loss. They offered $10 discount for the next 6 months for me as well as arrange the livers to vacate then disappeared. The staff is friendly but not helpful. Be mindful of this went renting from them!
