I was going to move the next hike in price when I decided to voice my concerns with new owner. Right away, Pricilla, property manager reached out and immediately moved me to a better, clean and close by unit. As difficult as it is to move, I immediately started to move before my belongings completely got destroyed. This new owner is awesome. Really know what customer service is. Comforting because customer service has long been gone and non-existent. Thank you, Priscilla. We hired College Hunks (Naperville, IL) for a local move between two homes that were only about five minutes apart. Before the move, we answered detailed questions about the size of the homes, the number of rooms, and what needed to be moved. Based on that information, we were given an estimate of approximately 6 hours of work and an expected cost of around $2,000. The reality was very different. The move ended up taking approximately 13 hours--more than double the estimate--and our final bill was nearly $4,000. We were told the extra time was due to a two-story walk-up and a blocked alley entrance, but these explanations do not justify such a massive difference from the estimate we were given. The men on the team also did not inform anyone that they were going on break and we have no idea when they started/stopped their break. To make matters worse, several items were damaged during the move: * The back panel of a dresser was damaged. * The center support leg for that dresser was lost. * A small piano was broken. We submitted a damage claim during the first week of May and have repeatedly attempted to follow up. Despite numerous calls, we have received no meaningful update or resolution. At this point, the lack of communication has been just as frustrating as the damage itself. I understand that estimates can change and that moving is difficult work. What I do not understand is how a move can take more than twice as long as estimated, result in damaged property, and then be followed by weeks of silence when a claim is submitted. All we have asked for is a fair resolution regarding the damages and a reasonable review of the charges. Instead, we have been left chasing answers. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to get every detail in writing, ask detailed questions about how charges are calculated, and carefully document the condition of all belongings before the move.

After considering several different storage companies for our move we chose this place because of the security features and manager. the site was well maintained and they offered a controlled front gate and security cameras. Our rented space was very clean and easy to access. the storage lot has all double wide, paved drives which the cheaper competitors do not offer. The business offers automatic payment or website payment and gives a very big discount f you pay 6 months in advance. Overall very pleased with our decision to rent here. Pros: Good rate good security very clean and well maintained. people that work there are very helpful and friendly the wide drives made it super easy to get my big rental truck around the site great prepay discount= 2 free months a yr! Cons- Although the office is open 6 days a week, their weekend hours are short; If you're planning a weekend move, you better plan ahead and contact them in advance. read more

I use this storage facility for long term work/inventory storage. Our company has used several storage facility's in the past, and none compare to will county storage. This site is sparkling clean and well kept/maintained. Management is always on site and on the ball. (very responsive and nice to deal with) Site security is very good, controlled front gate (with PIN access) and security camera's everywhere.They are located behind the Will County Sheriff and have 2 big dobermans in the yard overnight. Rates are the *most reasonable* in the area. (They have a great prepay deal, pay for 5 months upfront and get your 6th month free. Which we renew twice a year.) Overall I'm very pleased with the site and the management, i would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. 2 big thumbs up! read more

We rented an indoor storage unit while preparing for a move. All was good until going in one time and finding everything on the floor was wet. When we contacted the company ,an email was sent out to all in that building saying the creek had flooded. How was this not noticed before it flooded our units? Nothing was done about it but told to air our units out. The mildew odor was already in there. That doesn't just go away. read more

This was the second time I rented large power equipment from BI Rental, and was even a better…read moreexperience than four years ago because when the scissor lift was delivered, the deliveryman helped me determine very quickly that it was absolutely not the right equipment for what I wanted to do, and he immediately took it back and brought out the correct equipment, which was a Niftylift self-drive boom lift. I just had to pay the difference between the two rentals, and the bucket boom was fantastic, and allowed me to safely and easily do a lot of tree trimming and repair work that would have been incredibly dangerous with a ladder or on the roof. The delivery cost was more than reasonable and saved me a large amount of time. After the deliveryman spent ten minutes running me through the operation, it took me about twenty minutes on my own to get comfortable with the equipment. It more than paid for itself by saving me either hospital and insurance costs, or funerary expenses on my family's part. Just as with last time, the staff at BI Rental are all about efficiency and making sure the customer gets the greatest value out of their rental.
