From April to May, the main security gate remained open and broken. Repeatedly driving by and seeing the gate open for anyone to access became increasingly frustrating. I understand we're paying for storage but the purpose of a secured facility is completely undermined if the gate is not maintained or repaired in a timely manner. What finalized my decision to move out of my unit was the extreme disappointment I felt from the lack of urgency in addressing the issue. After doing a bit of research, I can assume why there was no rush. Based on the company policies/terms it seems the condition of the gate does not create a significant liability for CubeSmart. Therefore, if an event does occur, the customers lose, not the company. From this experience, I discovered this company does not prioritize customer concerns when serious issues arise. After moving out due to the circumstances mentioned, I overpaid for three weeks and requested a $75 refund. They denied without hesitation. The only compensation offered during this whole month-long debacle was a $10 credit that could not be applied to my final payment. I called to discuss this and never received a return call. I lost even more money moving units to StorageMart, but I would do it again to avoid this Cubesmart and all others. They clearly do not believe in making an unfortunate situation better for their customers. Fun fact: According to public figures, Cubesmart made $333.8 million dollars in profit last year. They can surely afford to refund their customers when wrongdoing has occured.

And now Extra Space has bought them out. And every buyout eventually forces a rent increase. New owners usually give everyone a pass on rent increases for a time, but then they have to pay for their investment and they start raising rents to get them up to "market." It is frustrating, but typical in todays' market. My last rate increase was 25% ... so don't be surprised by increases. If they are close to fully rented ... you're getting an increase. Enough of my gripes, it is still a pretty nice place. They have both indoor climate-controlled units and outdoor units without climate control. Obviously being in the climate-controlled area is a bit more expensive. Everything here is very clean...they have good housekeeping, so the premises and areas around the units are all nicely kept...they earn big points for this. They do not have a lot for storage of RV units or boats. The office area sells locks, boxes, and other shipping/packing supplies. The office people are very nice and professional. This facility has a dock with sunken ramp so you can take direct truck delivery; they also have a grade level area where a truck can drop a lift or you can run your own ramp ... either way these are nice offerings and they open to double-doors so you can get a skid load through the doorway. You do need to provide your own pallet jack though. They have various carts for moving boxes, but they do not offer a lift for moving around skids. It is located just off Wolf Road and you can see Interstate 80 from the property. All-in-all this is a pretty nice storage facility for your extra stuff. Just bring your wallet.

Copying my review from Google. Do not store your stuff here. On 1/3/26, we were bringing our trailer in to storage and we almost rammed the gate due to the amount of ice in the parking lot. They haven't put ANY salt down at all, so the entire place is covered in ice. Not only that, for the past few years we have been complaining about the pot holes and nothing has been done. I hate giving money to this place. What is that money being put towards? Not maintaining the place that's for sure. Update: As of 3/27/26, there are still dozens of pot holes, some have to be around 6in deep. There's a huge one by the main gate that spans a few feet wide. It's been like this for years since this corporation took over the facility. Update #2: As of 6/9/26, there are STILL dozens of pot holes. Including the massive one right outside the gate. They do not care. Update #3: 7/1/26, Still dozens of pot holes with nothing done about them. read more

Friendly, flexible service has been my only experience with the new owners and the office staff. This is a container based facility that can also handle vehicles of all types. The layout is organized for easy access even on busy days and closely monitored for security. All the units seem clean and cared for; no rust, good floors, and the doors seal perfectly and operate smoothly. There are dedicated paint and maintenance crews seen working in all seasons. The driving surfaces are diligently maintained with on-site equipment and are better than some city streets. Great place for extra space if you have typical access needs. read more

I rented a storage unit from them as well as an outside parking space. All of the units are painted, clean, and water tight. There is always someone there if you need help with something. The prices are the best you will find for the size of units offered, same with the parking spaces. The place is well kept, very secure, easily accessible. I have been using this facility since it opened, so about 3 years now. I rent an indoor storage…read moreunit and also park my company truck in the outdoor storage area because of HOA regulations where I live. I have a couple of complaints the way CubeSmart operates their business. When you complain about it to the management at the facility, they simply tell you that their district manager makes the decisions and they have no control, so I will share with you why I am unhappy. 1) They lure you in with "special offers" which is enticing. But then they will start raising your rent fairly regularly. That seems to be the corporate business model these days. In the 3 years I've been at this facility my indoor storage has practically doubled. 2) The gates system used to secure the outdoor parking is always breaking. I am a union electrician and I park a company truck at the facility. So if the gate system isn't working, I can't go to work, which costs me nearly $800 a day when you include my hourly pay and benefits package. My biggest problem with this situation is when I talk to the management about it, they tell me CubeSmart isn't going to change their junky gate operating system for me. I had to laugh because when these gates break, it inconveniences everyone because of how the entry and exit system works at this facility. Instead of driving through a couple of roll-up doors like most facilities, you also get routed through the outdoor parking area which has those two (2) pesky sliding gate systems that always breaks. I don't appreciate management making it sound as though I am the only person being inconvenienced, the whole traffic pattern causes the excessive use of the junky gate system. If you want a good laugh, think about their reaction to my request of being compensated for my loss time at work. I never mentioned this previous times, but after having this happen several times, what do you expect. I wouldn't have even asked such a thing if I seen that CubeSmart was making an effort to really fixing the issue. Instead they keep fixing the same junk. Here is another funny one for you. I couldn't get my truck out of the parking area, and they told me they don't know when the gates will be fixed. So I may not be going to work tomorrow either! Lol....I am so done with CubeSmart.
