We used Ferree movers for packing an instate move and their storage facility for one year. The move…read morewent well, and the moving staff were nice and respectful. However, when we had our belongings moved out of storage to our next home, trouble began. Items were missing, such as power cords to TVs and frame mounting hardware for our beds. I had to purchase these items. They did have someone come back and put the beds together. When unpacking we found numerous broken items. Some were glued back together such as a bed post and cabinet drawers to our dresser while others were just broken plates and bowls. They didn't do a good job packing our things and were not organized in keeping items together such as the cords and hardware with the furniture. The worse part was the customer service. I have called over 20+ times and sent emails but have not gotten one response. Once we paid for the services all communication ended. I was only looking to be reimbursed for the broken items that they packed and moved. To me, that would be the right thing to do. They should have contacted me to ask how the move went and if we had any issues. I shouldn't have to spend time out of my day to contact them. I understand things can happen during a move, but there is no excuse not to respond to follow up after a move. If you are looking for movers, I don't think you can trust Ferree Movers of Crown Point to do the right thing if something happens to your furniture, appliances, fixtures, etc. I wouldn't use them again in any capacity due to their unprofessional behavior and lack of customer service.

Faced with a near surprise closing, with the busiest moving weekend of the year impending... I was…read moreshocked and elated that Skyline was able to provide me top notch service with not a hitch, glitch, or whoopsie moment in the move. Having a pickup in Richton Park, a stop over in Homewood, and then arriving at my new home.. I was afraid Skyline would "find some way" to finagle extra charges. While other movers tack on fuel costs, and love to douse a bill in extra charges... Skyline was upfront, and simple to follow. A (slightly high) hourly charge, with time being charged from when the truck leaves the garage until it returns... rounded to the nearest 1/4 hour. Simple enough. The gentlemen showed up exactly when they said they would this morning. They had me "give a tour" of what all was moving, and then, they took to the job without pause. The three man crew moved every last box we'd packed up, and even assisted me in carrying a few "high ticket" items to my car. They then followed me to our second stop, and continued to push on through. Once we got to my new home, the crew spared no time in getting everything off the truck. And in 5 hours of moving, did not scuff, scratch, ding, dent, or otherwise harm a single item. I'd recommend Skyline to any family looking for reliable, effective service. It's not going to be the cheapest mover in town, but you certainly get what you pay for: a hard working crew who knows not to slack off. Kudos.

The only physical way the property could have gone missing was if someone else removed it, and no one else was in the home at this time. The fact that i'm taking time out of my day to write a brutally honest and bad review about this place goes to show really how bad my experience with this place was. We kept our storage here for about a year or two and made all the payments on time and in exchange we got nothing but disrespect. Not to mention when I go to check the reviews I also noticed there are other unfortunate reviews about how this lady has disrespected other customers.

Not only was I greeted by Susan's smiling face and great attitude, but she was able to help me figure what size I actually needed. As I start to load up all of my belongings, I was quite pleased at the cleanliness and security of the entire place. I chose the Climate controlled rooms as I was inserting alot of valuables inside. The price was very suiting as well as they were running a special on some of the larger rooms so that made it an easy choice for me. I frequented the facility at least 25 times in the few months I had to use the room but every single time I came around....the entire area was spotless and I felt very secure. Even when I was done and had emptied out the room, it was all hassle free and easy! I only ever interacted with Susan, but she was amazing!
