However, my experience has been negatively affected by repeated and significant rent increases on my unit. When I started in January 2025, my monthly rent was $382.50. In October 2025 it increased to $428.70, and again in January 2026 to $474.90. These increases came in a relatively short time frame. What's most frustrating is that new customers are being offered materially lower rates for comparable units at the same property, according to current advertised pricing. When I raised this concern with on-site management, I did not receive a satisfactory explanation or adjustment. I understand market changes and periodic rate adjustments, but ongoing increases without transparent justification -- especially when newer customers are paying less -- feels unfair and has left me disappointed. I hope Public Storage can improve pricing transparency and ensure existing customers are treated fairly in line with advertised rates.
