Bill's movers and team put up with a day of slow elevators, insane traffic from Chicago to NWI, and insane humidity just to make our move as easy as possible. The four man team were so friendly, careful, and all of our items arrived clean, safe, and well taken care of. The communication from start to finish was great, and they were even able to accommodate an additional stop with no problem. If you're looking to sit back and not have to stress over your move, I would definitely recommend Bills! read more

Bill's movers did a fantastic job in moving my items from a storage locker to my new home. They were on time and courteous every step of the way. They also worked with a sense of urgency in loading and unloading my items which I greatly appreciated (not careless urgency to finish their day but a realization that I am paying for their time). Pete and his crew were very efficient and accomodating in my every request. I would definitely recommend them for your next move. You read online horror stories about shady moving crews but this was definitely not my experience with them. Based on my experience, this is a quality moving company that is attentive to detail during this stressful event of moving your items to a new house read more

I had Bill's Mover's move the first phase of items from my home in Tinley Park and move everything to storage in Chesterton, IN. I was very pleased. 4 clean cut and courteous young men came to my door and got to work right away. They made what I imagined to be difficult, look very manageable to them. I will definitely have them back for the next phase of the move. read more

I was late on calling to schedule my move as a lot of movers were booked. The scheduler was able to fit me in on a day that worked out for me. On my move day, I was expecting two guys however, there were four. The moment the guys arrived they were so friendly, helpful and hard-working. They made my move easy. I recommend Bill's Movers! Thank you read more

This post is an update. I initially gave Bill's Movers one star because they cancelled my 1 hour small move after they had previously booked and confirmed it. Ryan, one of the owners, said it wasn't "worth their time". After that review posted, I received a call from another of the owners, Bill. He explained that they were extremely busy the day they added my small move to their schedule and he admitted that instead of canceling they should have at least asked me if I could switch it to another day. I'm giving them 3 stars for Bill's effort. I admired his his calm resolve in listening to my frustration. As a side note, I ended up using Moving Specialists, Inc. Bill (yes, another Bill) and Jen from their Hammond office, were quite helpful and accommodating in scheduling the move which turned out to be $100 less than what Bill's Movers was going to charge me. Plus, the 3 movers who came out were efficient and very helpful! read more

Bill's Movers moved a piano for me. They were efficient and professional . They were very respectful of my home by protecting floors.

I was moving from the communist state of IL to IN and needed a mover that worked in both states. I used my Yelp community once again and they came through. The guys showed up on time and worked diligently the entire time. The crew consisted of all very nice young men that had personality and yet were very respectful of me and my home. Pete ( the mad scientist of truck packing) Tony, Dan and Dakota were super hard working and never slowed down for 12 hrs. Zak and Tyrone showed up at the new home and were equally as good. The guys never scraped a wall or hit a door with my furniture even after working all day. I highly recommend this company and want to thank the guys for doing a great job. A reminder, when your crew works this hard and careful with all your possessions remember to tip the crew well. read more

They were very quick and courteous. My only criticism is that they didn't wear masks, but I was able to overlook as they were efficient and helpful. Would use again if I had to move. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Bilm's movers. They were prompt and ready to work. They charge by the hour so my thought was that they would just drag and take their time. Wrong. Went from a 4 bed cape cod in Lansing to a 4 bed ranch in Hammond with a quick stop at a storage facility in Dyer to drop a few things off. 4 hours, $800. They are quick, responsible and knowledgeable. Friends have used Bill's in the past and they were highly recommended. read more

Fantastic service! Some friends recommended them and we couldn't be happier they did! Scheduling the move was as easy as it could be. They accommodated our scheduling needs and showed up exactly on time with everything they needed for the move. Tyrone, Tony, Taylor and Andrew were professional and friendly, and barely stopped for an instant the whole time. Everything was wrapped for protection, and they packed the truck efficiently, to say the least! They kept us involved in the whole process, involving us with question when they needed to. We have a lot of stuff, and the moved it all seamlessly. They obviously took a lot of care to stack things - both in the truck and later, in the new house, so that nothing was damaged. Every piece of furniture was wrapped to protect it. Our old house had some weird angles on stairs and hallways, and they moved even the largest items without ever bumping a thing. At the new house, they made sure they understood what each room was and what was going where - and above and beyond, they also made sure not only to put things in the right rooms, but also, when, for example, the bed had a left and right pier unit, that they took the initiative to put them in the right position without any input. We didn't have them assemble or disassemble any of the furniture, but the way they carefully placed it means we'll have a much easier time when we do! They obviously have a lot of experience with a lot of different furniture! A day later, we're still finding things that they took the initiative to put in the best places for us to find it later. It was a long day for all of us, and unfortunately, the A/c was not working in the new house, but they were cheerful and friendly and professional the whole time, and made sure we were completely satisfied with everything before they left. They cleaned up everything they brought and left us nothing to have to clean up. I grew up in an Army family and had a Navy career, involving a lot of moves, as well as moving a number of times for civilian job changes. I have never had a better moving experience. I hope I don't have to move again any time soon, but if I did, I'd sure use them again in a heartbeat! read more

We needed movers from Chicago to Munster and we decided on Bill's. They were so easy to work with! It was the best moving experience we have had. They gave us an extra guy for free and they were all so professional and nice. The main guy who was in charge was extremely knowledgable and organized. The rest of the crew was too. They were very careful and did a wonderful job. They even had to take our sofa out through the second story window (which we knew ahead of time as it came in that way) and they did an amazing job. Will definitely be using them again and recommending to friends! read more

As far as moving things they were great until they scratched up my brand new hardwood floors and stole 2 of my wedding rings and also destroyed my brand new grass. read more

Bill's Movers went above and beyond! They sent five guys and a truck to move us out of our 1000sq feet apartment and they loaded up the truck in under an hour. Within about another hour or so they were done at our new place. They were friendly, gentle with our stuff, and even let my 4yr old help a little. Incredibly reasonable prices too. I can't recommend them enough! read more

The absolute BEST in moving. I have moved 7 yes 7 times in 1 year (between 3 countries too) and this was above and beyond the best experience I had. The team is efficient, communicative, and professional. Everyone is clearly in expert in their field. To say I was burnt out from moving is an understatement. This team really put my mind at ease and made my life 10000X easier. If you are anywhere in the Chicagoland area, this is the only moving company you will ever need! Also I want to give a special shout out to Tom who was SERIOUSLY AMAZING!!! I will be recommending Bill's to anyone I know who needs moving services! read more

The company was extremely reliable, upfront on everything, prompt, friendly, and professional. The price for the short-notice job was very steep, but I didn't expect anything different. They turned well on a dime, and I paid for what I got. The longer-range estimate for follow-on work was quite reasonable. read more

I have used these movers twice to move from the city to Indiana and they are absolutely superb! I've used other movers in the past and Bills Mover's blows them out of the water!! They are punctual, efficient and try to move as fast as possible while treating your items with care. They even moved me in 90 degree heat and were just as fast. I would recommend them to everyone! I don't frequently give reviews, but think they are just THAT worth it! If I ever move again, they will be the only movers I'd call. So thankful for them helping me through my moves!! read more

Bill's mover recently moved a piano from Highland to Indianapolis . The young men who moved the piano were very polite and professional. I felt very confident with them. They delivered the piano which had to go in a lower level room with twists and turns. They were on time and did an excellent job!! Thank you Bill's Movers. You are the BEST! read more

I have used Bills many times now. No one else compares to their service. They are the most efficient and attentive movers I have ever had the pleasure of hiring. The men take very gentle care of furniture with such ease. They will also assemble furniture and give decorating tips. They are very well trained. I would recommend bills to anyone needing moving assistance. read more

I can not recommend Bill's enough. I have used them twice--and both times they had to move my 5'8" baby grand piano. They know exactly what they are doing, they take such care to protect your floors and walls, and they are FAST! When I had my piano tuned after moving it into my current house, the piano tuner couldn't believe I had just moved it. That's how good they are. You will never regret hiring Bill's to move you. I will absolutely be calling them again if I relocate. read more

Bill's Movers is an excellent moving service to use! They were on time (early actually which was great!), they handled our items with care and they moved quickly and efficiently. They were recommended to us from a friend who had used them with her move and will definitely be recommending them to everyone. Thank you guys for making a stressful time a lot less stressful! read more

Just used them today and they did a great job! 1st time moving and what a great attitude and speed they had, got done moving fairly quickly.

I was so pleased with Bills movers in the past that I immediately called them when I needed some items moved from Chicago to Indiana. Since they are so good, they were booked up and couldn't accommodate my quick move date. I was forced to use a mover who had quick availability-my first mistake. Two Men and a Truck went to Chicago but said the armoire was too big for them to move and they are not allowed to take anything apart. A Mover who Can't Move! The bottom line is plan ahead so you can have a real moving company--BILL'S MOVERS is the absolute BEST! read more

Had the pleasure of having Bill's movers on a snowy Saturday morning. The team arrived on time. Took time to protect the home that we were leaving and our new home. The delivery team were polite and professional. Highly recommend Bill's movers. Thank you for making a stressful day a less stressful. You guys were great. THANK YOU read more

Our local move with Bill's movers could not have gone better. The crew of David, Nikko and driver Matt was punctual, professional and polite. They worked expediently but carefully. There was not one bit of damage to any of our furniture nor to either house, despite having some difficult pieces to move. We highly recommend Bill's movers. read more

Recent move from Illinois to Indiana. Two cousins had used Bill's Movers recently, and since they raved about the company, we hired them. They are simply the best. There are no other words! They care for your possessions as if they are their own. Furniture, even heavy armoires and our piano, are lifted easily by these extra strong guys. All furniture is carefully covered, and plastic mattress covers provided for a small fee. That came in handy and I panicked when the rainstorm started, but these guys were unfazed. They work well as a team, they know exactly what to do with EVERYTHING, including an antique grandfather's clock, which they knew to wrap each component carefully and separately from the clock housing. Still pouring rain at our destination, they laid out a long blue waterproof runner and emptied the truck with not one drop of water on the new hardwood. Even helped me decide on the best furniture placement in a room. I had to force a bottle of water of them on that humid day! AND THEY CAME IN UNDER BUDGET! Who does that these days? Thanks, Bill's, (there really is a Bill, their grandfather/founder!) you're a jewel of a company. read more

Used this guys yesterday to move to Michigan from NW Indiana. They gave us extra helpers and had our entire house loaded in two hours . They were polite, professional, and very helpful. They would help set up and positioned things if you asked , and can;t say enough good things about them . Best move we ever had and they beat the competition by $400. We would highly recommend them to everyone. A big thank you to the whole crew. read more

Bill's is a great moving service. They helped us move on a rainy day in Chicago, but that didn't hinder them whatsoever. The team is professional, friendly and extremely hardworking. They disassembled many furniture items carefully and packaged them well, so nothing was damaged in transit. When we arrived at the new place, they protected our floors from the rain so we didn't have to clean when they were finished. For some furniture items, they reassembled them better than we assembled them in the first place. Their assistance was very much needed and appreciated, we highly recommend Bills! read more

5 Star Service. Raters were competitive and well within our budget. The movers and packers were professional, clean cut, efficient, and hardworking. Defied all the stereotypes of movers and I will only use them from now on. read more

Bill's Movers has moved us or someone in our family 3 times in the last 2-1/2 years, most recently the weekend of 12/28/13. They are OUTSTANDING. They showed up on time, were extremely careful with our belongings and were very professional, even asking if they could use the bathroom. I have an enormous heirloom china set---service for 12, pattern has been discontinued. Not a scratch. Not a single item was broken, scratched or damaged. And they work quickly. I highly recommend their services and will use them if I ever need movers again. read more
