I very, very rarely write reviews but cannot say enough about how great our experience was with this moving company. We used them to move items in preparation for remodeling work on our home's first floor. As background, I reviewed and took the time to fill out online forms to secure quotes from four different companies, including the popular "two guys and a truck". What a waste! Following frustrating emails & phone calls with reps from these larger companies, I got lucky and someone referred me to Southwest Movers. I called Southwest and in one phone call, five minutes of my time, the move was set up for two days later. Their price was more than fair and far lower than two of the other places I checked. Our move crew showed up on time and were tremendous! They worked fast and yet were meticulous in handling our furniture. We have some exceptionally heavy and awkward items but the crew knew exactly how to handle the job. In about one hour they moved our sun room, living room, dining room and kitchen furniture onto their truck. No breaks, no cell calls, no complaints, not a single mishap. They unloaded our items into a storage unit just as efficiently. They subsequently moved our furniture back to our home just as efficiently. And, bonus-they added the felt floor protectors we had purchased to every piece of furniture as they brought them in! Do not hesitate to use SW Mover. Fair prices and great service from initial contact. Left a message on Saturday, just so I wouldn't forget on Monday. I was surprised to have Mike return my call just a bit later. The quote was very reasonable compared to others and spot on. It is very nice that the minimum is only two hours, others seem to have three.The movers were helpful and friendly. Their good moods diffused some family tension! They were very understanding of the situation and patient. I asked if they could hold up 15 min while we turned in my brother's key and got a quick inspection, they said they would just go on ahead. When we arrived they had already started unloading boxes and were ready to go, so no time was wasted. The movers were careful of doors and walls as well as the furniture. the move came in as quoted at the two hour minimum- no padding or surprises. I cannot say enough about Southwest Movers. Mike was great to deal with, he answered all my questions, response time was swift and did exactly as he said he would. The guys themselves were awesome! They were not only on time, but early! They came in, took a look around to see what they had to do and got right to work! The team worked well together, were efficient, friendly and fast! Did not take any breaks, just kept going. In doing so, they completed the move 2 hours less than what was estimated. They could have very well have taken their time to get paid more, but they didn't. Their hourly price was considerable less than others movers that I contacted. I had no problem tipping them and hope I tipped them enough! Southwest movers helped us move to our new home about a week ago. it was 50 miles from our original home and they were so prompt and efficient and got everything out in a timely manner. They made every effort to pack things securely and pad so nothing was damaged. They also charge a very fair price. Will definitely use them again and recommend them to anybody who needs good Movers. The guys worked very hard and were very conscientious about where I wanted all the items moved. Since the price for the move was so fair....... They showed up promptly at 9am like discussed and got right to work. They were careful with everything and had blankets to protect our stuff. They'll take things apart for you if needed. I needed them to make an extra stop close by where I was moving to and they accommodated that with no issue. Everyone on the crew was polite and kept on task with the job. They worked quickly and got our move complete in less time than the estimate, which also means it was cheaper than originally estimated as well. I've used Southwest Movers twice in the last 4 years and I highly recommend them. They are personable and hardworking. My furniture was wrapped and moved. I had a couple of very heavy pieces but they were able to maneuver them out with no damage. They set up your furniture where you want it and even changed the bedroom around when I wanted it the other way. The movers were on time, friendly and worked HARD and Fast. I had an estimated time and cost they came in 15 minutes under and adjusted the payment. They had all the blankets and bands they needed to protect the furniture and even tackled moving a few heavy pieces including large organ. Southwest movers were great. They showed up early, surveyed the situation, and just started moving our furniture with care and expertise. They removed the light fixtures in the hallways, just in case. Our couch was too long for the staircase so they hoisted it up over the balcony.
