I reached out to Mike to address a few concerns regarding our move. First is my damaged office chair. My computer chair was not wrapped during the move, which resulted in permanent staining. I noticed this damage immediately after the chair was brought into my new place. When I pointed it out to one of the movers, he acknowledged it but said he wasn't sure what happened and did not offer further explanation. Given that I was charged for wrap and tape, I expected that all items requiring protection, particularly fabric furniture, would be appropriately wrapped to prevent damage. During the initial phase of the move, there was a noticeable delay when the entire team was at the loading dock. My partner and I had to wrap our TV ourselves using their blankets and our tape. After waiting 10-15 minutes without seeing any movers return to the apartment (despite the fact that my partner, a family member, and I had already brought everything to the hallway), I went downstairs to check. I found two movers sitting on stools using their phones, with my furniture and items not loaded in the truck yet, and a third seemingly sorting through a toolbox? This delay was concerning, especially since I only had the freight elevator reserved for two hours, a timeframe that should have been sufficient given how prepared everything was (e.g., all items boxed, only large furniture needing disassembly). I mentioned the time constraint (10 minutes left of the reservation of the elevators) to the team, and only then did they return upstairs to continue moving the remaining items. Once we arrived at the new place, I noticed further inefficiency. While one mover worked on reassembling my bed frame, the other two were reportedly downstairs folding towels. The assembler was missing tools and had to make multiple trips up and down the elevator to retrieve the necessary items. This extended the move time unnecessarily and raised concerns about how time was being managed while I was being billed hourly. Lastly, I had to manually remove tape that had been applied directly to my furniture, including the TV stand, which could have potentially caused damage. That said, I felt there was a general lack of urgency and coordination that extended the move time and caused some frustration on my end. I've respectfully paid the full amount, including a tip for the third mover who was added last-minute without charge. Mike was contacted and someone emailed me back and accused me of lying and saying my chair already had a stain and willing to offer you $20 for cleaning products to help remove the stain. And a $20 credit on any future moves. No, thanks. My chair did not have a stain prior and if there was, the crew did not mention it beforehand. But they were able to mention about my cracked drawer frame? I hired and paid for movers to safely and professionally move my items with efficiency, not to damage my chair by not wrapping it at all and moving without any urgency as I was billed hourly. If my partner and I did not help move items, it would've taken them even longer than 5 hours to complete the move. 2 stars because the guys were kind and at least moved our stuff with our hand in help. Other stars knocked off for lack of efficiency during the move to then be charged more per hour and damaged $100+ furniture item, which then was only offered $20 for cleaning products and $20 off for our next move? Not ok.

He explained their pricing to me and gave me an estimate over the phone. I requested a quote onlime and was called within I think an hour. I hadn't expected to hear back until the next day. Scheduling was easy. I was able to reschedule or cancel using their online customer service. It was so easy. I wish we could have proceeded our move with this company. Again that is an issue on our end, not theirs.

I called earlier in the day on Friday, compared quotes with a few companies, and clearly explained the job: moving one bunk bed, one dresser, and one treadmill a little under 20 miles from a townhome to a home. My appointment window was originally Saturday 8:30-9:30 AM. At 9:15, no one had arrived, and when I checked the booking link the window had changed to 9:30-10:30 without any communication. I called immediately, and at 9:21 one of the movers called to say they had gone to the wrong address and would be there in 15 minutes. They did arrive about 15 minutes later, and the job "start time" ended up being about 9:45 (which was reflected on the reservation tracker). Right away, the movers were concerned about the treadmill. I called the office to figure out how they planned to handle it and was told a manager would call me. No manager called, and instead a third person was sent out--which was fine--but I did not want to be charged for the ~35 minutes the crew was sitting and waiting for help. I called again and was told I'd be billed appropriately at delivery and that a manager would call "when they had a chance." At 10:35, 50 minutes into the start of the job, I received a call from one of the movers informing me that they were halfway complete and going to exceed the quoted time. He was unable to tell me how long that would take, and told me I would need to wait for a call from management to provide a new quote. Eventually a manager (Tim) called and said they couldn't take apart the treadmill because of wiring concerns, even though the crew had already started. When I asked what my options were, he suggested I pay another company to disassemble it and then pay College Hunks to come back, which made no sense. By this point, they had been on site for over an hour and I was told they had barely done anything--which wasn't true, because they had fully disassembled the bunk bed (see photos) Tim then canceled the entire job while items were still on the truck, and the crew unloaded everything into the garage, not where the items originally were. Screws were missing, furniture was left partially removed from the home. Tim refused to take my calls afterward, and the corporate line was not helpful beyond saying a manager would eventually get back to me. While I was refunded the fee, that doesn't fix the disruption and the mess left behind. The movers themselves were polite, but the overall professionalism, communication, and job assessment were extremely poor. I also felt rushed during booking--they told me I had only five minutes to use the link to pay the $50 deposit, which should have been a red flag. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. If you use them, expect major delays, unclear/changed time windows, and the possibility they may not complete the job even after disassembling your furniture.

Understandable but wish they told me that right off the bat. Ed the owner is very professional and nice to work with. Day one went well. Day two I was told they didn't have a driver for the other truck so it would have to be a third day of moving. Not convenient at all! I was also told they would be shorthanded because " I tipped them the first day so some of them went out and partied too hard!" Very unprofessional to say the least. I couldn't be there for day three (because I don't have three days to watch movers do a one day move) and when I went to check the storage unit to see how it was packed a week later, it was a mess. Just had new movers move stuff out of unit into the house, and they as well were appalled at how it was packed. Numerous boxes crushed, 2 shelving units destroyed, and my treadmill stored on its side which cracked the side guard. VERY overpriced. Would not recommend at all!

Ed Copher provided great packing tips and offered insight into how Copher Moving would take apart/wrap our furniture to protect it in transit. The Wheaton driver and loading teams on both ends were FANTASTIC. They were professional, efficient, on-time and very easy to work with. Jamie Copher, who manages the delivery schedule and payment was extremely responsive. We had a minor hiccup just before our scheduled pickup but Ed/Jamie and team helped get that resolved with Wheaton and made sure to follow up with us. I highly recommend Copher Moving.
