We used these guys for our move from a third floor walk up (with killer stairs) to a first floor apartment in the city. Overall they had the best rates and don't charge extra for the truck or the travel fee (which is actually a fee for the time it takes a moving company to get to your place and then back home after the job is done). They were a bit slow to respond at first, but were very helpful in helping us prep for the move to reduce cost (making sure all is packed, having boxes of similar size stacked together because that's how they move them - by size and not by room designation). And they hustled. The moved ended up taking longer than we anticipated (lots of stairs!) but they ended up charging us less than we thought - they stopped by for lunch on the way to the new place and didn't charge us for that time. I don't believe they're insured, so not sure if I would recommend them if you have a lot of stuff. But they took good care of our IKEA stuff and I will use them again next time we move. read more

After sending me tons of paperwork to sign and settling on a date, they were a no-show. We had settled on an appointment for Friday, 09-15-2023, at 2pm. After I had move all my food out of the refrigerator to be relocated, I had not heard from them by 2:30pm. So I contacted them to see if they were still coming. They told me they were running behind and would be at my location around 4-4:30pm. I felt I should have been told this earlier so I could have delayed moving food out of my freezer but I told them ok. They called me 3:52pm to tell me they would not make the 4-4:30pm time due to being short of staffed and asked if I could wait. I told them no - I had waited long enough. Considering my move was an internal move - just moving items from the garage to the basement - more consideration could have been given. I would hate to see how they would have handled a move that consisted of another building or house. I would definitely NOT recommend this company to anyone. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! To be fair, we used this company before and everything was great. They came a day ahead of time and moved our boxes and the next day moved our furniture. We had a little damage but nothing substantial. This time was a totally different story. We used them this past March. As usual they came to move the boxes first. That evening we noticed that our iphone charges were missing. My husband immediately contacted the company and told the owner about it. His response was that he would ask around. The next day they arrived to move the furniture. I went ahead of time to the new house and posted signs that coordinated with the box colors for ease in them moving and delivering the boxes to the proper area. During the move I noticed that the boxes were being dumped in one room. I told them movers on site that the rooms were marked to avoid that. One of the workers got into a back and forth with me and I finally told him this is what the agreement was and I expect for it to be followed. While the movers were still moving boxes in my sister-in-law and I started directing them so that we can insure that the boxes were going in their proper place -- didn't help. They dumped boxes wherever the pleased. We started unwrapping the boxes in the kitchen that were clearly marked fragile. One complete box was nothing but shattered glass. It was as if this box had been thrown against a brick wall. We mentioned it to the movers and they said they would let the owner know. In the week following as we started to unpack, we discovered that our leather futon couch had been intentionally cut and the legs of the couch were stuck inside. As with most futons there is a pouch on the back of the couch for the legs, but instead of locating that, these movers took a knife and cut through the back of my couch. Additionally, various items were broken, lamps destroyed, sentimental items smashed beyond recognition -- not to mention that our iphone charges were stolen. I have contacted the owner repeatedly telling him of these problems and that we needed some resolution. Initially I got promise after promise of him coming by our house to access the damage but he never showed. In fairness, he did tell me that he was sick and that he would be by "soon". We moved at the end of March and to this day he has never came by and has stopped answering text and phone calls. I told him we understood him not being well, and even suggested a representative of his to come by. Nothing. It has been 4 months now and now we are left with having to replace our stuff (those that we can) ourselves. My only resort to recoup my damages is to file a claim against him and this company in civil court. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The fact that our items were stolen and destroyed was bad enough but we have gotten absolutely no cooperation from either the owner or the son. RUN! read more
