Wow! What a convenient, easy and incredible service. One stop shop, local business, order online and delivery was prompt and fast. Ordering online was fast and easy. Boxes, tape were more than enough for my duplex. I choose the 3 bedroom package. Gently used boxes were in great shape. Why buy new?! Save the environment. Support this great local Chicago business. read more

We have used this company several times and have yet to be disappointed. We love that the boxes are delivered to our door step!

When I moved a few months back, I knew I needed boxes and who to call. Just like before, MBN was awesome. * My boxes, paper, and tape were delivered quickly. * The price was extremely reasonable. I had considered renting crates, but they were considerably more expensive than MBN. * All of the boxes were in great shape. They covered my move and a few coworkers and friends who I gave boxes to when I was done with them. My only knock is minor; the tape they provide kind of stinks. It wasn't very sticky, so I was rubbing it vigorously to make sure it held. I would enthusiastically recommend MBN to anyone I know in need of moving boxes. read more

Rita, the lady who delivered my 2BR set of boxes this morning called mu cell to let me know that she was in front of the house. Boxes came with 4 rolls of tape and two rolls packing paper. Rita was nice and pleasant. The gently used boxes look great and are an excellent value. What a stupendous idea to reuse them. Thanks Chris! Happy Customer. read more

Moving Boxes Now - Packing Supplies Near Me

Cannot imagine moving without this team again. Took away the worry of everything that comes along with boxes by providing everything you need to pack and prompt af! My man said a time and was there to the second. Worthy of affordable pricing that goes by size of your place. read more

What a great service! We purchased the 3br package. It was delivered on time, contactless. Boxes are in great condition and the price was reasonable. Happy to support a local biz instead of that other box place just over the border in Wisconsin. read more

If you need moving boxes and don't want the hassle of using box dibs, these guys will bring you slightly used boxes in great condition plus packing materials for a fair price. Thumbs up from me! read more

Boxes on the CHEAP. Are you moving???? Do you want to know where the heck you'll find something to carry your 100+ collection of *ahem* "DVD"s or your 50+ assortment of shoes and purses? And do you want to figure out how to carry them WITHOUT spending hundreds of dollars on boxes?? Well, Chris P. with Recycled BXS came upon the brilliant idea of gathering together gently used boxes and selling them at a freaking CUT-RATE price while also throwing in free delivery. The pricing: The packages available get a solid five stars. Seriously inexpensive boxes. 1) 10 medium, 5 large, 5 small = $20 2) 15 medium, 10 large, 5 small = $25 3) 25 medium, 20 large, 10 small = $40 The service: Five stars. A one hour window for the FREE delivery and he was here within the first five minutes. He unloaded the boxes onto my building's cart for me, too, and even offered to take them upstairs for me and unload them. I didn't need any help (and I didn't want anyone seeing my frighteningly messy apartment -- studying for the Bar takes precedence over cleaning house), so I graciously declined. The boxes: Three stars. Average. About what you'd expect for gently used boxes. Some are a little more used than the others. Some look seriously pristine. Most of them had some sort of writing on them, though, unlike what the website's picture depicts. So...if you have issues with putting your books into a box that has "EGGS KEEP REFRIGERATED" on the side, then maybe this isn't the right service for you. Overall: Overall, 4 stars because you really cannot beat the value and convenience. Sure, you could always go to Target and try to pilfer boxes from them slowly, but why deal with that when you can just hand over twenty bucks and have all of the boxes neatly flattened and delivered right to your door? read more

Needed boxes. Ordered online. Boxes delivered next morning. Delivery was made by a super nice, fast, friendly, amazing man who I want to be my next best friend. Delivered tons of boxes to my apartment door. Even brought wrapping paper and tape. LOVE THESE GUYS. LOVE THIS IDEA. read more

I haven't Yelped in quite a few years, but these guys were worth coming out of the woodwork for. I'm moving in a few weeks and per usual, am completely unprepared and unorganized. I travel a lot for work, don't have a car in the city, and am a solid 12 on the Procrastination Scale of 1-10. Also, I prefer to spend my money on food, wine and shoes as opposed to boxes and tape. Enter Yelp, glorious Yelp, and Moving Boxes now. In all honesty, I don't have much to contribute that hasn't already been said in a review here before, but they were so great I wanted to make sure they got another 5-star review that they deserved. I ordered my boxes at 7:45am and left a voicemail for Chris, the owner, to arrange my delivery. You should note that at 7:44 I was busy saying a silent prayer that they could somehow, magically, be delivered today since I'm going out of town this weekend and travelling again for work next week, leaving me with approximately two hours to pack up my entire life and aforementioned shoes before I get booted out of my current residence. At 7:55, Chris called me back and said that he was busy today with other orders but could drop them off tomorrow. I pitifully explained that I'm a terrible human being, the worst last-minute packer ever and that if there was annyyyyy wayyyy he could do it today I'd be eversograteful and Saint Christopher graciously agreed. Cheerfully agreed, in fact! He helped me get everything into my scary old-school elevator and dropped it off at my door and then even mentioned that if I needed extra boxes to give him a call because he's always around Lakeview, where I live. I honestly think I'd almost forgotten how nice it is to receive such seriously great service. I will be recommending them to every friend, family member and acquaintance I know, as well as unsuspecting strangers that look like they may be in need of a box or two. For $49, I'm the proud owner of a huge set of boxes (that unfortunately I can't pay Moving Boxes Now to pack for me, but if I could, I bet they'd do a bomb job at it) and a fan for life. read more

This place is amazing. One of the hardest things about cleaning out your apartment and packing to move is finding eco-conscious alternatives to throwing things away or wasting resources. Chris at Moving Boxes Now is incredible. I needed to buy boxes in a snow storm and neither wanted to rent a car to pick them up nor waste money and cardboard on one-use boxes in the first place. I found Moving Boxes Now, placed an order online for roughly 16 boxes and 3 pounds of packing paper for a very reasonable $45 and within an hour, Chris had called me to confirm that my materials had been dropped off at my apartment. So friendly, great prices. There is absolutely no reason go to buy overpriced boxes at Uhaul. Avoid it and use Moving Boxes Now. read more

Wow this place is awesome! I love how this place uses gently used boxes and they were clean too! It looks like they get them from manufacturers who throw out their boxes. Overall they held up well in my cross country move. And they were easy to work with! A few reason for the 4 stars: - The roll of tape they supply isn't very sticky and doesn't seem very thick. I double/tripled the tape and it held up ok - I managed to use every square inch of my 1-bedroom apartment and ran out of boxes from the 1-bedroom package. I wound up having to buy 8 more boxes - The medium sized box was vertical-shaped so it was hard to figure out which household items should go in it. Would've been better if it was more cubed-shaped. Overall a really great company and service. Thank you! read more

Everyone who has had to move in Chicago knows that familiar feeling of dread. The entire process sucks, from hauling those expensive boxes on the CTA to lugging them to your new place. MBN changed moving forever. It made moving suck SO MUCH LESS. It was awesome. The time window was the usual two hours. I figured it'd be a lot like other time windows, where two hours really means three and a half. I was shocked when he called me 30 minutes after the beginning of the window, ready for me to come down and pick up my boxes. The man who delivered my boxes, Chris, was so nice. He helped me bring the boxes up to my apartment! the boxes are plentiful, sturdy, and reasonably priced. I even had some left over. Anyone who is moving in Chicago should absolutely use this. 10/10. Would use this service again. read more

OMGosh!!! This place is awesome! We are going to be moving and had to buy some boxes. I couldn't believe how expensive these things are, but then we stumbled upon this place via google and not only were the prices outstanding, but to know that we are recycling also makes us feel all the better. They delivered for free! Another savings! And they were even early! When the boxes got here they were in awesome shape! Some even looked never used. I can't believe someone didn't think about doing this earlier. What a great business and very kind delivery people! If we move again and need boxes, this is where we are going for sure! Thanks for the awesome service, great prices and the kindness to the environment! ~Cheers! read more

This was literally the best experience and decision I have ever made for a move. We ordered the 1 bedroom set on a friday night and they delivered the boxes (and then some) by sat. morning at 10 am. Chris was so nice and processed our order so quickly. They even threw in some extra tape and paper to pack with. These boxes did not look used they looked brand new. We went to our storage locker and saw the same boxes retailing for over $6 per piece. Had we gone that route, we would have spent upwards of $200 or more. This is a great idea and would highly recommend this for anyone moving! read more

This is my second move with MBN and I cannot recommend them enough. Outstanding service, excellent communication, prompt response and lightning fast delivery all with an economic price that beats any big box store or storage facility. They have packages for 1 BR, 3 BR etc so ordering is a snap. You can also choose specialty boxes (eg Wardrobe, Dishes) so you are covered. Order today. Get your moving boxes and supplies the next morning with punctual delivery. Chris and staff are the best. read more

I should just say "what they said!" because all the positive reviews on Moving Boxes Now perfectly define our experience, but I'll give a little extra info for good measure :) When we booked our moving company, they recommended using The Chicago Green Box, which is another good option when moving or if you want to be extra kind to the environment, but after a friend recommended Moving Boxes Now, we decided to go with them because it was half the price AND there was no time limit on the boxes (since Green Boxes are reusable, they drop them off then pick them up 2 weeks later, or you can pay more to keep them longer). Although I hope to pack our condo and unpack into our new house in a timely fashion, it's a risky gamble :) We decided to go with MBN due to the cost savings, and were not disappointed. Even better than the boxes (we bought the 2 room option) you get supplies! They gave us two rolls of paper and several rolls of packing tape, which means I had no excuses: I could start packing the second they dropped the boxes off. And! Chris was so nice when he dropped them off--even asking if he should take off his shoes when walking the boxes up. We highly recommend Moving Boxes Now and to combat any environmental guilt, we'll be sure to recycle all our boxes! read more

This is a fantastic idea....moving supplies are beyond expensive (and it's great to be a little nicer to the environment by using recycled materials). The guys here were quick to respond to emails, scheduled my delivery date/time and assisted my fiance upstairs to our condo with the boxes. Free delivery to Evanston, and the boxes are great quality/will hold up to our move without a problem---I highly recommend! read more

Used them twice now and amazing both times! Boxes are in excellent shape so not using beat up boxes with the potential to break. This year I didn't need as many boxes and they had the perfect package for my studio! They also deliver RIGHT to your door....literally had them outside my door when I came home, but you can provide them specific instructions when placing your order (leave with front desk, etc). Quick and efficient! Highly recommend to anyone moving. read more

so i found the ad in craig's list for recycled bxs and looked up the yelp reviews at 10pm last night. looked legit so i emailed and got a response within an hour. This morning i had boxes delivered to my highrise bldg in downtown chicago for free!! -- does it get better?!! chris loaded the boxes into my bldg cart and then texted me that he was here, i went down and just brought them up! --on time, no hassle, no fuss! he even threw in a few extra medium boxes. they are gently worn but still in great condition as long as you aren't a perfectionist. ***cheap, clean, fast, efficient, delivered to my doorstep AND i'm saving a few trees!!*** i would recommend to anyone! recycledbxs@yahoo.com read more

AWESOME experience with Moving Boxes Now! I would recommend to anyone looking for cheap, quality boxes delivered right to their doorstep. It even came with packing paper and tape! This was the easiest part of my move. They were scheduled to come between 10-12pm on a Saturday morning. Got there right at 10am on the dot. Boxes were cheaper than going to UPS and getting all of the equipment. And I didn't have to drive around the city or get a cab for my boxes. Well worth it!! read more

MBN was nothing but helpful and fantastic for my recent move. Moving last minute with very little packing supplies and no car to drive to the Home Depot to get boxes, or hunt for free ones on Craigslist, MBN seemed to be my only option. Chris at MBN was so friendly and very accommodating with my order and delivery window. When ordering online, the delivery windows might not work out, so just give them a call and they will do whatever they can to work with what will work for you. The sizes are great and the boxes are sturdy. For being "used" boxes, they work wonders and look brand new. Also the prices are very reasonable. The packages they offer are what you have to order, but they're very accommodating in terms of switching out sizes or bringing extra of a certain size if you need. Highly recommend using MBN to avoid hauling boxes on the CTA. read more

Outstanding 5 stars!!!!! Moving Boxes is 300% responsive - I ordered my boxes late Friday night and received them before 10:30 am the next day?! AMAZING. Cannot recommend enough. read more

Boxes came fast, are in great shape, and were the cheapest I could find too. Delivery is such a great option for boxes.

So helpful! Moving is stressful enough without having to constantly run to the store for more boxes. A friend of mine told me about this company and I ordered all the boxes I needed all at once. They were delivered to my door, along with other necessary supplies (packing newspapers, tape). The boxes were all in great condition, too. It couldn't have been easier! read more

With friends, family and myself I've probably been a part of a major move about 24 times in my life. One of the biggest initial hassles is always getting the boxes. I came across this company on yelp and decided to try them out. I was and still am completely impressed. I put in a order for a single bedrooms worth of boxes and they were delivered right to my door within 36 hours. The price is also right as well. I would have probably paid a good 30-40$ more (at least) if I had to go to Home Depot or somewhere else to get boxes. They do advertise that the boxes are pre used so I was cautiously optimistic about that one. Turns out the boxes have been once used but other than that they appear to be clean as can be. Bottom line, great value and great service all around. If you need moving boxes give them a call for sure. read more

Exceptional service, professional, sustainable ... and a gentleman to boot! I ordered online at 9pm and got my boxes by 11am the next day!!! Who does/can do that?! I can't say enough about Chris and his crew. Look no further--Moving Boxes Now is THE place to call when one needs boxes and supplies especially if one is in a pinch. Kudos Chris--you are the epitome of exemplary customer service and quality. Now go ahead--write that manual for ALL to (try and) follow. Ha! read more

Great service overall! I ordered the "1 bedroom" package of boxes online, which was really easy. All the boxes were in top shape too. They delivered the boxes the same day at the time promised! Chris, the delivery guy was really nice and personable. I would definitely recommend getting boxes from them the next time you move. They made one step of moving easy and for that I'm grateful. read more

Update. So it is 2014 and I am moving again! Found the website, ordered the boxes. Service was courteous and fast. In fact, the guy who brought by the boxes warned me of the ice outside the door. Brought them right into my living room, too. Nice! Highly recommend. read more

If my move will go as seamless as this box order and delivery went I will be a happy camper. I ordered my boxes on a Tuesday they were hand delivered by Chris after I got home from work on a Thursday. The boxes are great, reasonably priced, and Chris was such a sweetheart to bring them all the way to the third floor for me. I definitely will recommend him to others! Not to mention he has a green company! read more

I just used Recycled BXS yesterday and today; I emailed Chris via his website late Monday night and woke up to an email from him Tuesday morning and had a delivery of sturdy boxes of various sizes as requested by Tuesday afternoon. The boxes were in great condition and the price was unbeatable----half as many boxes would've been 3x as much from a moving supply store. I hadn't expected I'd need as many small boxes as I did and called Chris the next day and by late afternoon, had another shipment of small boxes for a few bucks. He's super helpful, courteous, and communicative so you know what's going on. Plus, when you're done moving, if you break them down, he'll come haul them away for you and re-use them (as long as they're still in good condition). It's a win-win for everyone! read more

What a great service! Very timely, and quick. The packages to choose from are realistic for an average apartment. Makes moving that much easier. Highly recommend it for anyone moving and wanting to save time, money and energy. We will definitely use them again. read more

Superb, affordable, honest, fast service. Same day delivery for my move! Cannot recommend highly enough!

I used them for a move across the loop. The one bedroom package was perfect size, the boxes were in new condition and they delivered to my door (which was unexpected...I figured they would be left with the door man, but he wheeled them all the way up). It was next day service and perfect. If they just had a way of loaning them to the next move for a charge. Highly recommend. read more

They were perfectly on time, very professional, and at about a buck a box, absolutely worth it!

Love this company. I've had Chris deliver boxes for three moves now and he always makes life a heck of a lot easier. He delivers to your doorstep, on time and with a great price for his boxes. His service is fast. He's very reliable and friendly on the phone. He says what he'll deliver and he comes through, no fuss, no muss. Moving is painful enough. Make life easier on yourself when it comes to getting boxes. I highly recommend MBN! read more

Absolutely a brilliant idea to recycle boxes. I ordered the boxes on Friday and received them Saturday morning. There are a lot of boxes included in the 2 bedroom package.
