She was extremely clear when explaining the policies of the storage unit, and her advice on more practical matters (storing items well, for example), went above and beyond. This is not a professional company. Do not hire them if you want yourself or your belongings safe. During our move, which happened during a light snowfall, our mattress wasn't wrapped as tightly as it could have been, and it was placed in such a way in the truck that it absorbed quite a bit of water (see photos). When mentioned to the crew, one man, whom I had already asked not to smoke near our furniture, became combative. Requests for that individual to calm down and not even rude or yell at us in our own home, turned to the man informing us he was off the clock and shouting in our front yard to the point where we had to ask him to leave our property- he then sat in the truck leaving the other two to do all the work. When it came time to settle the bill, we called the office (no response) to discuss the damages and a 2 vs 3 person rate. We asked the crew to have her get in touch with us. While I was on the phone with Melanie, business owner/customer service, the remaining crew started yelling at and then threatened my fiancé, shouting that they would call the police for us refusing to pay- we were not, we were discussing the damage and the crew member who walked off the job. The crew manager informed me that he was Melanie's boss and he'd just call the police. Melanie heard all this, called them and sorted it out. The yelling and the threats were terrifying and unprofessional. This is not how you treat customers and is a horrible reflection of the "business." Do your research and go with someone more reputable and safe.

Initially, I was very pleased with my storage unit and the experience. Unfortunately, they have…read morecontinued to significantly raise the prices during my time with them. They give me 30 days notice, but there is no appeal process or formal way to request a price freeze. They have complete autonomy and no accountability-so you have no options except to endure the inconvenience of finding a new storage facility and moving your items. I am paying almost $200 more per month now than when I signed the contract perhaps 2 1/2 years ago. It is a terrible business practice to just randomly increase rates! They did give me a couple of discounts and a credit, after I complained, but ultimately I'm paying almost $600 a month for a 10x25 unit, which is the amount people pay to rent an entire studio in some areas!! They think it helps to say that customers that sign up today pay more than what I'm paying - but I would not pay those rates if I were looking today!! Usually companies give you discounts/advantages for being long-term, great customers - nope, not this one. They just raise the prices because they can. It's awful! The storage units are nice, safe and secure. I have usually found Deb helpful with responding to my needs/concerns. I've expressed so many complaints regarding the rate increases, that she knows who I am! If you are open to paying random increases and hundreds of dollars more per month than you signed up for - this is your place. If however, you have a budget and cannot afford significant rate hikes - DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS HERE! They know it's too difficult to move your things to another location, so they just price gouge. BEWARE!

To give us the bigger bargain he was willing to apply it to a full month, so we got the full value of the coupon. We really didn't want to terminate just yet so this was perfect. John's initiative and customer service spirit turned it all around and made us feel he truly cared about our financial requirements!
