After calling everyone I could think of, including the board of water supply, with no one providing any help, I typed in "plumbers" into Yelp and started cold calling down the list. First Class Plumbing was the third company listed but the first one that seemed to care. I was warned that I was calling after hours so I'd have an emergency fee if I wanted service now... I joked "fine - this is an emergency" and was told I'd get a call back as soon as they could get ahold of one of their plumbers. I went back to trying to heave buckets of water into a nearby sink and received a call back 15 minutes later. The plumber was so calm, and after hearing that I was still dealing with gushing water, explained to me how to stop the water flow. He asked me to send him pictures of the burst pipe and the faucet and got off the phone to price everything out including replacing the pipes and faucet. After doing all that work he told me what the cost would be and then said it was no worries if given the price I didn't want to continue on - or at least wait until it wasn't an emergency (an extra $150 charge). I said I definitely wanted the service and he came right out and fixed the burst pipe. I would already have been raving about this place for their competent service if it had been a normal scheduled appointment. But the fact that this company and the plumber were there for me when no one else was, and went above and beyond walk me through how to stop the problems and extremely quickly look into part costs for me before I ever even agreed to the service has made me a loyal customer forever!

This is a family owned and operated business in Mililani that specialize in water heaters. They are fast, friendly and efficient and even haul away your old heater at no extra cost, what more can you ask for!? I called Friday morning around 8:30am and they were at my place around 12:30pm. Come to find out my water heater was less than 6 years old. They offered to stop working at no charge if I wanted to reach out to the previous installer since I should be under warranty. I declined because my experience with the previous company wasn't the best and they were already there. Martin offered a $100 discount because he felt bad that we were having to get a new water heater so soon. I was very grateful for his kindness and it made me even happier that I was able to support this small family run local business. The job was done in about an hour and Martin even helped me register my water heater online. He told me I had a 6 year warranty on the heater and 2 year warranty on labor. I will definitely reach out to Air-O-Smith again with any future water heater needs and have already referred one of my neighbors. If you have a need for a new water heater or your current heater needs repair please use this company, they are wonderful people and great at what they do!

As a home owner you have a lot of responsibilities where you need to juggle many responsibilities such as but not limited to finances, insurance, property taxes, preventative measures and maintenance. The other week I wasn't feeling well and stayed home from work which ended up a blessing in disguise as I had a leak in one of my 50 gallon tanks. I noticed the leak from the night before where I shut all but one valve and turned off the electric breakers. As water leaks can lead to property damage, I had to immediately get a plumber as I'm not a DIY person. I reached out to my BIL where he recommended either Allen's Plumbing (AP) or Roto Rooter. I decided to first check AP on Yelp and saw low ratings from good friends of Peter Y. and Victoria A. It's unfortunate my friends had below average experiences with AP where I was skeptical. But I trust my BIL and took the leap of faith. AP is a local company that started in 1982 servicing 24-hour service to both Oahu and Maui. The process was simple and efficient. I called first thing on a Friday morning and after addressing my issue, I was advised their plumber can be at my home at around 11am. Their dispatch contacted me a little before 11am to inform Jonah, their plumber, is on his way and arrived at about 1120am. After the assessment, it was determined that one of my hot water tanks had both internal and external leaks. I was provided an onsite quote of replacing the tank, installation, labor, parts, and disposal of the old tank. I was forewarned by my BIL of the higher than usual quote with AP, but trusted the integrity, service and professionalism of AP and agreed to the proposal. After committing to the quote, staff went on the road to secure my water tank replacement and came back about an hour later. This allowed me some time to clear the area and place more towels on the floor as water accumulated. When the staff returned, I advised them to use the side gate for a much easier access to the wash room. Luckily it was a breezy and sunny afternoon, ideal conditions in transporting the water tanks and installation. It took about 3 hours for Jonah and his colleague to disconnect and remove the damaged tank and install the new tank. I'm no expert in this field but waited patiently as I do have solar panels which perhaps caused extra steps in removing and installing. When I saw one of the staff load a box with the leaking water tank into their van, I sensed the task was soon to be completed. Prior to Jonah leaving, I did also mention my sink fixture in one of the bathrooms needed to be replaced where he also gave me a quote. It was already late so it was agreed I'd be calling back once I've made arrangements to have my sister house sit for me due to my work schedule. I paid my bill in full and the boys left my home. I had some minor tidying up to do as the laundry room floor was still wet. Overall, an amazing first experience with AP where I'd be sure to contact them again. I am impressed of their service, professionalism, dedication and knowledge of their industry by providing the service to get the job done. Note that due diligence is also required by the consumer. Highly recommended.

They came back with a proposal of $35,000. After reviewing the itemized estimate, I immediately advised her to get additional quotes. One line item alone was $1,660 to install four hose bibbs (spigots)--something she never requested. There was no discussion about adding new hose bibbs or performing related work throughout the house that would justify this charge. For context, hose bibbs are inexpensive parts (around $5-$10 each at The Home Depot or similar retailers) and typically require minimal labor. We obtained two additional quotes from other plumbers: $4,500 and $3,900 for the same repair. Based on this experience, the pricing from Steve's was extremely inflated and concerning--especially given that the customer was an elderly homeowner. If you consider getting a quote from Steve's, I strongly recommend getting multiple estimates before proceeding.

Requested HECO to come out and discovered the 100 amp breaker melted the plastic behind it and basically fell apart. Anyways, by just providing him a picture he could tell just the breaker needed replacing instead of the whole panel, which would've costed thousands. Johny is super knowledgeable and friendly. He ended up checking all my breakers and if there were any overload. Basically made sure everything is safe and up to par. I sent many requests to obtain pricing on the replacement of my water heater. While I understand that it is hard to get a true estimate without an on-site visit I still wanted a ball-park figure. Chris from Cubellis Plumbing was one the first ones to respond with a price range while many others requested that I call to speak to them in person to get a quote instead which is a negative for me as I did not have the time to call during normal hours. When I found out my home warranty with American Home Shield (AHS) might cover the replacement he explained the process thoroughly and advised me that there would still be out-of-pocket costs so that I would not be surprised. Even though I was under the mercy of my home warranty, the entire process with AHS and Cubellis was smooth from start to finish. Chris was very polite and professional. He remained calm and patient with all my questions and was always quick to respond to my emails and clear with his explanations. Removal and installation of the water heater went smooth as well. His pricing is reasonable for the amount of effort and time he puts in. Services that were provided to us are listed below. -Camera inspection -Unclogging the main line -Locating our buried cleanout -Installing an additional cleanout for hydro-jetting (required hand digging it almost 3.5 feet deep, just him and his partner) -Hydro-jetting our main line He has spent countless hours and tools trying to clean out our line but sadly our pipes were too far gone (which we had suspected beforehand but it was worth a chance). The owner Chad answered the call and was very patient listening to my explanation of the problem. He clearly knew what was needed and we scheduled a day and time. The day before our scheduled appointment I asked Chad if he would be able to replace my garbage disposal, no problem. I took a picture of the existing disposal and sent it to Chad. Chad arrived on time and I appreciated his assessment and on what would be done. He installed the pressure regulator with copper piping and recommended if I would like to have a water outlet installed. Great location Great idea! Chad also replaced an old hose bibb valve that was stuck to the hose. The garbage disposal installation went well and his assistant showed me where the reset on button is located as well as what to do if the blades are jammed. I highly recommend Plumbing Kings Hawaii because they are reputable, honest and reliable. Chad has immense knowledge and expertise in the business beyond his years. Faced with such a stressful and inconvenient situation, we called (as we have done in the past) Rayo Plumbing. My mother left a message on morning of Tues 6/23, they returned our call later that day, and thankfully we were able to secure an appointment for this morning, Wed 6/24. Brandon was punctual and arrived at 9:00am. We again shared our problem with our sink and that the water didn't drain, and he got right work diagnosing the problem and set to work on resolution. He "snaked" the drain, was able to remove any "problem" which led to the clog, and restored the faucet and sink t working order. He was also able to resolve a leaky faucet in our secondary bathroom. In the end, we felt the price point was reasonable, and we were extremely grateful, as well as thankful, that he was able to help us this morning. side NOTE I was unaware that my mom had placed a call to Rayco Plumbing yesterday morning, and so I had sent out a request for quotes/service using the Yelp app. I was thankful that multiple businesses responded to my request, but I felt bad in the end for wasting people's valuable time.
