JGR Plumbing did an excellent job capping off the water line on my existing water softener system, including sealing the drain and testing everything thoroughly for leaks. The work was done cleanly and correctly, which gave me immediate peace of mind. I'll admit I was a little nervous about the cost at first, but it was absolutely worth it for the quality of work and the reassurance that everything was handled properly. He was prompt, professional, and very organized throughout the entire process. I also appreciated that he took the time to spot-check my water heater and share helpful maintenance insight without any pressure. I've added JGR Plumbing to my go-to list and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, honest plumbing work. read more

Jared was always professional in his communications and did a great job installing the new toilet. The service was very quick, and he even came to fix an issue we had post-installation. I feel his pricing is very reasonable for the service he provides. Mahalo! read more

I initially reached out because I needed my unit's main water shut-off valve and my washer shut-off valve replaced. Replacing my water heater wasn't even part of the plan. But after Jaren took a careful look and walked me through what he was seeing, I decided to move forward with it--and I'm genuinely glad I did. What stood out right away was how professional, thorough, and patient Jaren was from start to finish. Like many of the Yelp reviews say, he doesn't rush, he doesn't cut corners, and he doesn't talk down to you. He took the time to answer my questions in a way I could fully understand--even as someone who knows almost nothing about plumbing. That kind of clear communication matters, because it turns a stressful situation into something manageable. And here's the part that really earned my respect: he didn't oversell. When it came to the water heater, he didn't just point to the age and say, "Replace it." He explained why it mattered, what could happen if I waited, and how upgrading certain older plastic/PVC materials to brass could save me money and headaches down the line. It wasn't pressure--it was education. It felt honest, practical, and grounded in what was best for my home. He was also incredibly flexible. On the same day he worked in my unit, the building complex was dealing with additional plumbing repairs by another company, and it created delays and coordination challenges. Still, he stayed calm and professional. He was at my place from about 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and while I felt bad that it was such a long day, it reassured me even more--because it was clear he wasn't rushing. He was making sure it was done right. The results speak for themselves. His work is clean, organized, and flawless, and the difference is obvious when I compare my updated plumbing setup to other units I looked at before he worked on mine. His attention to detail is on another level. I also want to give a big shout-out to Arley for her help when I first reached out to JGR Plumbing. She kept me updated, provided clear estimates, and communicated Jaren's arrival time for the initial unit check. That kind of responsiveness makes a big difference when you're trying to coordinate repairs. Finally, I have to mention the pricing: for the amount of work completed and the level of quality and professionalism Jaren delivered, the cost was very reasonable and fairly priced for this type of work. If you want a plumber who shows up with skill, integrity, and pride in their work--someone who treats your home the way they'd want theirs treated--I strongly recommend JGR Plumbing. read more

JGR Plumbing was great from the start being immediately responsive to my call for an estimate to replace an old leaking water heater and failed pressure reducer for the house main water line. Jaren came out replacing the water heater and cleaning up/better routing the piping and electrical. The old house main line reducer was cut out and replaced with a high quality part. Definitely a highly professional job. Fair pricing, but really an excellent value due to the level of attention and highest quality work. I'll definitely be using JGR for my future projects. Also am happy to support a local family business. read more

I had Jaren come to my house and work on my solar water heater before Christmas. Our wiring was damaged and pipelining was corroded. We have a 15 year old son who needed hot water for showers after wrestling practice. Jaren was very responsive and his pricing is fair. I didn't feel like he was price gauging me or trying to make extra money for a job. He did an excellent job. I liked his work so much that I referred a friend to him and we will definitely hire him again for any plumbing needs. read more

Talk about response time and quality work!! So thankful I came across his company on Yelp. He's very responsive, detailed, professional and reliable. He responded to an emergency plumbing issue at one of my condos and was able to diagnose and take care of the repair the same day. I had another plumbing issue within the building with another unit and he made some adjustments to his schedule to accommodate some plumbing work needed. Within the last couple of weeks I've called him for plumbing repairs needed at my units and he's always been reliable and honest. I'm looking forward to working with him with other repairs and or projects. read more

Although what I initially thought was a couple of faucet replacements became a much bigger project when we discovered my main water shutoff was leaking. Jaren fully explained and showed me what had to be done to correct the problem. He provided me an estimate within minutes for all the work that had to be done and immediately started work once I approved his estimate. Jaren completed the project professionally and quickly even though he ran into a couple of problems he didn't foresee all while staying within the original estimate. I would enthusiastically recommend JGR Plumbing to anyone who has plumbing problems. read more

We needed someone to replace several leaky spigots and based on the yelp reviews, got a quote from him. Quick response and reasonable too! Was surprised that his call out fee was only $25 ( within area). He has senior and cash discounts too. His quote included everything. Very professional and pleasant, not to mention reasonable. This was only a simple job but we will use him again for other things that may come up! read more

Shopped around for a plumber. Ultimately chose JGR because of the reasonable price. Learned he is a one man show/business owner. Less employee overhead... Can tell he is knowledgeable and experienced. He had to improvise when my shower cartridge was stuck in the valve. There is absolutely no way I could have done this myself regardless of how many youtube videos I watch. Plumbing is one of those areas where some situations are not DIY... He is a nice, outgoing chap. A pleasure to deal with! He also did some random, minor patchwork and didn't charge me extra for it--still stuck with his quote! You may have to text/call him the day of repair to see where he is at... He could be stuck on another job... Consider JGR for your plumbing needs! read more

Requested an estimate on yelp and Jaren and his assistant arrived the next business day at the scheduled time. I was finishing up with another plumber who was there to also give me an estimate and they patiently waited while I wrapped up with my previous appointment. They did an in-depth analysis to determine/confirm the problem and gave me several options for completing the repair. All of this was done free of charge. Next, they presented both options to me via written estimates and were available for questions via phone/email/text. They were punctual, polite and professional during my interactions with them. They were also very knowledgeable, and I would highly recommend JGR Plumbing to anyone who needs plumbing work done. read more

So happy to find JGR through other positive yelp reviews, that I felt compelled to add my own. I researched and called around to various plumbers, but based on reviews and our texts, I felt that the owner Jaren was the right person for the job. 3 issues: 1- A kitchen sink that was not draining after several hours 2- A toilet that was running 3- A bath tub that was slow to drain Jaren asked for photos of my toilet to assess needs before coming out. He explained that his call out fee was $25 and that he could come within the hour to give an estimate, even though it was 5pm. Jaren arrived on time and gave me a reasonable quote (more affordable and quicker than other companies) with a few options on the spot and was able to fix everything in an hour. He was also very personable and easy to work with. Based on my experience,I would recommend JGR as knowledgeable, experienced, and trustworthy for your plumbing needs. read more

I can't speak highly enough of Jaren (owner)! He was amazing in his responsiveness, price and mostly his expertise and quality of work done to redo and reroute my house pipes when we had a water leak. Jaren responded to my texts at all hours and was very reliable in dropping everything to help with my repair. I received several quotes from different contractors. I decided to go with Jaren because he had the ability to come up with creative ways to assess and minimize cutting into the walls, reducing house damage, that other plumbers did not come up with. He was also very thorough in explaining everything to me. Will definitely use JGR plumbing again! Thanks again for everything, Adele read more

I highly recommend JGR plumbing!! Jaren came by and unclogged my bathtub, which was not draining for several days. I even tried using Draino and that didn't work. After a few days of scooping out the tub water in a bucket into the toilet and hoping whatever was blocking would go down.... I decided to use yelp for quotes. Jaren had the most reasonable price out of 5 other replies from different companies. Very nice guy and great sense of humor. Excellent service!!! We had a water leak from the washing machine shutoff valve for a while. We contacted some plumbing companies from BBB list but we couldn't get to talk to them but just leaving voicemails. We decided to request estimates via Yelp to several companies. JGR Plumbing replied back very promptly for a few questions. After providing the requested info, he gave us a fair estimate so we decided to hire him. He showed up on time on the scheduled day. I first found JBC on the Best of list of the Honolulu star advertiser. Then I googled them and all their reviews were excellent. I like that their website stated their license # and BBB accreditation. I called them with 2 problems. They came the next day and arrived 1/2 hr early. They diagnosed both problems quickly by just looking at the problems. They quickly went to work and did a great job and finished in under an hour. The technicians were Ryan Sr and Ryan Jr. I had a leak under my kitchen sink and they left it looking clean and new. I would call JBC again. read more

Jaren was excellent and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a high quality plumber. We live in an older apartment building where all of our faucets and the shower started leaking at about the same time. He was able to fit us in quickly and the pricing was reasonable. Another plumber I received a quote from told me that the tile would need to be cut to repair our shower -- Jaren was able to fix it quickly without cutting tile. He ended up replacing all our faucets, a guest bathroom sink and installing a new kitchen sink/faucet. We couldn't be happier with his work and how accessible he is. read more

Very happy with Jaren. He replaced my bathtub fittings (faucets, valves, shower head, etc). Part of the problem plumbers have is to go to a home and give "an estimate." Well, unless he can disassemble all the problem fittings, he can't be sure of the manufacturer or the extent of any leaks. Some companies will send two guys who the customer has to account for in "the estimate." Jaren handled everything himself including getting the right parts. All for a price lower than "my estimate." read more

Honest, quality worksmanship. Jaren installed our tankless hot water heater, gas pipes and all.
