Louie and his "assistant" did a timely and good job the first time I used them, which I praised their work on Yelp. The second time I called Louie to replace a sink, I had to go purchase the sink and it took him two additional visits to mount it, and he charged me over $700. Not having any other names of plumbers, I called him again when two of our toilets needed a simple adjustment where the water stopper did not plug properly. Had a suspected leak in our bathroom (drywall wet) and thought it might be coming from the shower or the plumbing behind the toilet so we contacted them for someone to come by and check it out. Communication was always very responsive and a week prior to the appointment time we were given a one hour window in which they would show up and they showed up exactly on time. Didn't catch the name of the person who did the actual inspection, but they informed us that the leak seemed to be stemming from an issue with the tiles in the bathroom shower and would not require their services. We were not charged for the visit. Can't vouch for the quality of work since we ended up not needing any, but based on the service we did receive, would be incredibly surprised if it wasn't top notch. Thank you! read more

We woke up to leaky faucet water line. Our home has the PAX plumbing so we need an experienced team to repair. The team here at Oahu Rooter were quick to respond to our questions and concerns. You could tell they knew how to address our issues. They visited the same morning we reached out for assistance! (Great service and lucky timing I'm sure!) They evaluated what we needed to repair, and then went a step further and recommended an improvement to our original PAX set up (we'll likely be installing wall valves which allows me to service in the future but also help minimize wear and tear on the PEX system. ) Today they reviewed and know what parts we need. This repair needed the original inspection and then the specialized parts ordered. They helped cap off an open water connector on our faucet to help prevent an accidental water flow while we are bringing in the parts. I was to try to find that cap myself, but they saw it was wise to do and offered to cap it off at no cost!! (Whoa! That's pretty awesome! In many cases, the "little things" are huge and make all the difference!!) Their initial quote was very reasonable and the trust that has already been built is huge!!! Louis and his son arrived on time, to change an old Moen shower cartridge that was over 30 years old. Another plumbing company said that normally they aren't successful in removing a cartridge that old, so recommended a complete handle and valve replacement at a cost of $1900. Louis didn't have to go that route, as he successfully removed and replaced the cartridge for $234. He said that if he had to change out the entire valve, as the other company, he'd only charge $1200. We have used Oahu Rooter twice now and both times have been fantastic! Quick response time, good communication, value, friendly and courteous. The first time we called them was for a leaking faucet and running toilet. Scheduling was easy and they give notice when they are heading over. Very timely. Did the job quickly with quality work. He also found that we had very high water pressure so he installed a valve that controlled it. The second time we had drain pipe issues. They came out as soon as they could, snaked, and diagnosed the problem. They came back several days later which was fine because we still had a running toilet. They fixed the main issue and needed to come back the next day to replace old pipes. The repairs were done quickly and surprisingly with minimal noise. What makes them great is that they go above and beyond. Louie found some other things that needed to be fixed. Long story short, previous owner on an older house did some hidden DIY. He also takes the time to explain everything before the work and after. Very reasonable pricing for the quality and customer service. Highly recommend this company! Ten star service. Only if this was an option on Yelp. Needed to change out a water heater and garbage disposal. Louie and Louie Jr were so awesome from start to finish. Finding plumber: I called around and he was one of the few that answered my phone call immediately. He was very kind in answering my questions and made me feel valued. His quote was reasonable and he was transparent on the items he wanted to install. I went with what he recommended for water heater and garbage disposal. Communication: I am caller type of person and answered my call or called me back if he could not respond immediately. I believe he was busy one time and he texted me immediately. Talk about customer service! After our initial calls, we just text after in regard to coordination and questions. Days before installation day: He did follow up with me through text because I scheduled with him a few weeks out from my first call with him. He wanted to confirm the day and items we wanted to install and replace. Day of installation: 1) He texted me 40 minutes that he was on his way. He arrived 10 minutes early and he met me at my apartment door. Honestly, I was nervous because I needed to reserve the loading dock and elevator with my management and they are a bit strict if the vendor can't make the reserved time slot. In the past I had to reschedule and rearranged my work schedule to reschedule a vendor visit. However, Louie came on time and assured me through text he will make it by the reserved time. 2) The installation of my water heater and garbage disposal were both quick. I believe he was done in less than an hour and that also included clean up and taking the water heater to his vehicle. Soooo fast! I had to work remotely while they were installing and he did not bother me. He was very clean where he brought his own cleaning items and mats to keep the area clean. He didn't ask for anything. My space is quite cluttered and small, he did not ask me to move anything and worked with the space he was given. However, did move stuff around and he never said anything. 3) Payment options. I did not ask about card payment, but you can pay with cash or check. 4) Before he left, he kindly answered my questions. He shared his items he installed has a warranty so only wants to work with the best. He will be up front during your first phone call with him that his items he installs are a little pricey but should have a higher quality as he does add a warranty on the items his company installs. He will register your items and will help you work with the vendors. He also took my water heater and garbage disposal so I don't have to dispose it myself.
