When our toilet was unable to flush,…read morewe didn't know who to call since our favorite longtime plumbing company was no longer in business. Then we remembered seeing 535 Plumbing trucks often parked downstairs and at other buildings nearby, and gave them a call. They asked my husband for some photos, gave him an estimate, and sent someone over that afternoon. The plumber was running late but kept us informed about when he would be arriving. Once he got here, he was very courteous, professional, and did what he had to do. He answered our questions clearly in layman's terms for us to understand. A second plumber stopped by briefly to help him. We paid what was originally quoted to us. We were very satisfied with the quality of work done and now have a new favorite go-to plumbing company to call on!

I had them come out and do a camera inspection. The report says everything is all good. Nothing abnormal. Had a second plumber come out. Basically says that I need to completely redo my pipes because the plumbing is extremely old and falling apart with pictures and video After contacting 535 plumbing they asked what could they do to make it right. I told them that I'd like 50% back. They came back and said after careful inspection we cannot give you back 50% so I'm not really sure what they were going to do for me. Their process is extremely broken because at the bottom of the receipt and work order. It says that the line manager has the final say but I never got a call or email from the line manager saying that the initial report was 100% wrong. All I got was an estimate for replumbing the entire drains but nothing that said that the report was erroneous after having three other plumbers come out, which they all agreed the pipes needed to be replaced. I didn't get a video or pictures of the pipe. Only a small paragraph that said nothing abnormal noticed. I'm not a plumber that's why I'm paying plumbing companies to come out and do the work and I trust that they're going to do their best so I cannot be the one to verify their work. But but in the end I really need my plumbing to work and not feel like I'm getting taken advantage of. Eventually the owner caught wind of this and called me up. Credited me back $100 but I wish I had seen the reviews that this company has gotten in the past few months. I don't know if something changed there but I'm glad it's not just me that's dealing with this

That's what all trades should do since your home is where you spend most of time there. I give Steve's and his crew Solomon & Titan a 5 Stars! thumbs up for them, and will always call them for any plumbing, solar, and HVAC issues.

He said i need to change the prv valve before any repairs could be done as the water pressure should be around 60psi. I have changed the prv in the past, about 4/5 years ago so i told him to go ahead and change it as im pressed for time havjng to work and prepare for the incoming typhoon. He didnt have a valve so needed to go to city mill to get one which they had in stock. The total repair came out to $4100, of which and i'll break it down cost wise. Costs gotten at a consumer pricing from Home Depot Now mind you this is the retail pricing for an normal consumer, not professional pricing (what you or i would pay if going into the store) Prv valve $89 5' length 3/4" copper pipe $50 Fittings $50 Ball valve shut off $ 19 Total of parts $208 $4100 minus the parts needed $208 $3892 labor 18 minutes to complete the repair, say 30 to make it easy $7784 in labor charge per hour I guess i should have purchased a solderless crimper and done it myself for a savings of $3900 Work was done professionally and quickly as promised and the area cleaned up before completion but the labor cost is whats bugging me- guess i got into the wrong profession

Outstanding Service from Start to Finish!…read more We recently had a HALO H2Zero Ultimate whole-house water filtration system installed by Allen's Plumbing, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the very first phone call, Corrine was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly kind, responsive, and professional, making the scheduling process easy and stress-free. In today's world, it's rare to find someone who communicates so well and genuinely cares about the customer experience. Our technician, Ty, was outstanding. He took tremendous pride in his work, patiently answered all of our questions, and clearly explained the system, maintenance requirements, and warranty. His craftsmanship was exceptional. The copper piping installation is clean, organized, and looks like it belongs in a plumbing showcase. You can immediately tell that Ty values doing the job the right way rather than simply finishing it quickly. We invested in a HALO H2Zero Ultimate system with a Sediment Guard pre-filter, and Allen's Plumbing installed everything beautifully with bypass valves, high-quality copper work, and a layout that will be easy to maintain for years to come. What impressed me most was the professionalism of everyone involved. From Corrine's communication to Ty's workmanship, the entire team demonstrated honesty, expertise, and genuine pride in what they do. If you're looking for a plumbing company on Oʻahu that shows up, communicates well, and delivers top-quality workmanship, I highly recommend Allen's Plumbing. They earned our trust, and they'll be the first company we call for any future plumbing needs. Mahalo to Corrine, Ty, and the entire Allen's Plumbing team for a fantastic experience!

As a home owner you have a lot of responsibilities where you need to juggle many responsibilities such as but not limited to finances, insurance, property taxes, preventative measures and maintenance. The other week I wasn't feeling well and stayed home from work which ended up a blessing in disguise as I had a leak in one of my 50 gallon tanks. I noticed the leak from the night before where I shut all but one valve and turned off the electric breakers. As water leaks can lead to property damage, I had to immediately get a plumber as I'm not a DIY person. I reached out to my BIL where he recommended either Allen's Plumbing (AP) or Roto Rooter. I decided to first check AP on Yelp and saw low ratings from good friends of Peter Y. and Victoria A. It's unfortunate my friends had below average experiences with AP where I was skeptical. But I trust my BIL and took the leap of faith. AP is a local company that started in 1982 servicing 24-hour service to both Oahu and Maui. The process was simple and efficient. I called first thing on a Friday morning and after addressing my issue, I was advised their plumber can be at my home at around 11am. Their dispatch contacted me a little before 11am to inform Jonah, their plumber, is on his way and arrived at about 1120am. After the assessment, it was determined that one of my hot water tanks had both internal and external leaks. I was provided an onsite quote of replacing the tank, installation, labor, parts, and disposal of the old tank. I was forewarned by my BIL of the higher than usual quote with AP, but trusted the integrity, service and professionalism of AP and agreed to the proposal. After committing to the quote, staff went on the road to secure my water tank replacement and came back about an hour later. This allowed me some time to clear the area and place more towels on the floor as water accumulated. When the staff returned, I advised them to use the side gate for a much easier access to the wash room. Luckily it was a breezy and sunny afternoon, ideal conditions in transporting the water tanks and installation. It took about 3 hours for Jonah and his colleague to disconnect and remove the damaged tank and install the new tank. I'm no expert in this field but waited patiently as I do have solar panels which perhaps caused extra steps in removing and installing. When I saw one of the staff load a box with the leaking water tank into their van, I sensed the task was soon to be completed. Prior to Jonah leaving, I did also mention my sink fixture in one of the bathrooms needed to be replaced where he also gave me a quote. It was already late so it was agreed I'd be calling back once I've made arrangements to have my sister house sit for me due to my work schedule. I paid my bill in full and the boys left my home. I had some minor tidying up to do as the laundry room floor was still wet. Overall, an amazing first experience with AP where I'd be sure to contact them again. I am impressed of their service, professionalism, dedication and knowledge of their industry by providing the service to get the job done. Note that due diligence is also required by the consumer. Highly recommended.

I couldn't even figure out how to stop the water from coming out and within minutes water was pouring down the stairs and leaking into the floors below the kitchen. After calling everyone I could think of, including the board of water supply, with no one providing any help, I typed in "plumbers" into Yelp and started cold calling down the list. First Class Plumbing was the third company listed but the first one that seemed to care. I was warned that I was calling after hours so I'd have an emergency fee if I wanted service now... I joked "fine - this is an emergency" and was told I'd get a call back as soon as they could get ahold of one of their plumbers. I went back to trying to heave buckets of water into a nearby sink and received a call back 15 minutes later. The plumber was so calm, and after hearing that I was still dealing with gushing water, explained to me how to stop the water flow. He asked me to send him pictures of the burst pipe and the faucet and got off the phone to price everything out including replacing the pipes and faucet. After doing all that work he told me what the cost would be and then said it was no worries if given the price I didn't want to continue on - or at least wait until it wasn't an emergency (an extra $150 charge). I said I definitely wanted the service and he came right out and fixed the burst pipe. I would already have been raving about this place for their competent service if it had been a normal scheduled appointment. But the fact that this company and the plumber were there for me when no one else was, and went above and beyond walk me through how to stop the problems and extremely quickly look into part costs for me before I ever even agreed to the service has made me a loyal customer forever!

Sean from Island Solar Service contacted me the same day, actually within an hour of me entering my information on their website. He was able to visit my parent's house the next day and provided me with a quote. We decided to replace the whole system, the panels and the water heater, since it was old. We were able to schedule the installation pretty quickly especially with a lot of homeowners trying to get their systems installed by the end of the year. Prior to the installation, Sean informed my mom of what needed to be done to prep the area for the install. Basically clean the area surrounding the existing water heater and the space needed. He called a week prior to confirm the install and to start the permit process. The team of installers arrived early that morning (7:30 AM) and was done by 1:00PM. They did a terriffic job. Through out the job they informed us as to what they were doing and were very professional. Once completed they went through the system to provide us with information and how everything worked as well as who to call if anything comes up. Overall GREAT service and value. Very painless process. I'd recommend Island Solar Service to family and friends.

Strongly Do Not Recommend This Company…read more I had a very disappointing experience with A1 Plumbing. When I made the appointment, I clearly explained that my toilet had two problems: the tank kept continuously filling with water, and water was leaking around the base, likely requiring a new wax ring. I was told the price would depend on labor and parts, but no exact estimate was provided. When the plumber arrived, I went downstairs to meet him because I live in an apartment building. I was surprised that he was carrying only an iPad and did not have any tools with him at all. He came upstairs, inspected the toilet, and took pictures before going back downstairs to get his tools. To make things easier, I gave him a FOB key to access the building. He later said the space around my toilet was very small and that he needed additional tools, so he called another employee to help. Together, they went back and forth between my apartment and downstairs approximately 8-10 times. Each time, they brought back only a few tools instead of bringing everything they needed at once. Since I live in an apartment, all these trips required taking the elevator. Nearly two hours were spent on the job, and a significant amount of time seemed to be wasted going back and forth. I paid $280 for labor plus $20 for parts, totaling $300. The plumber told me the job had been difficult and that he had worked very hard. Feeling bad for him, I gave him an additional $30 tip, bringing my total payment to more than $330. However, I then discovered that the toilet tank was still continuously filling with water. Only one of the two problems I had explained before the appointment had been addressed. When I pointed this out, the plumber said he would need to return the following week, take the toilet apart again, purchase another part, and charge me for additional labor, including the time spent getting the part. I was extremely frustrated because both problems had been explained in advance. I could not understand why the second problem had not been addressed before he left. To be fair, the plumber was very nice and polite. My complaint is not about his attitude, but about the lack of preparation, organization, and efficiency. Later that afternoon, I contacted another plumber recommended by a friend. Before arriving, he asked me for a picture of my toilet's brand and model and an explanation of the problems. He purchased the necessary replacement part beforehand and arrived carrying all his tools. He worked for approximately one and a half hours, never once went downstairs for tools, and fixed both problems in one visit. His labor charge was only $120, and the replacement part cost approximately $30, bringing the total to about $150. The difference was remarkable. A1 Plumbing charged me more than $330, yet one problem remained unresolved. The second plumber charged about $150 and completed both repairs. A few years ago, another plumber also replaced the wax ring in my mother's toilet for only $150, including parts. The second plumber also told me that if repairing a toilet required that much time and money, he would strongly recommend replacing the entire toilet instead. In my situation, spending over $450 to repair a toilet worth only about $200 simply would not make sense. I expected a professional plumbing company to arrive prepared, especially when both problems had already been explained. Instead, I experienced repeated unnecessary trips, wasted time, a high bill, and an incomplete repair. I strongly do not recommend A1 Plumbing. Based on my experience, I would choose a better-prepared and more efficient plumber rather than pay more for an unfinished job.
