Rosemary fries were good. Tri tip sandwich was decent but dry, bring on the BBQ sauce! Salad was pretty good as well.

Sadly, my Tri-tip sandwhich was just okay (a bit tough and chewy) and my rosemary fries were soggy. I did do take out which i'm sure affected the quality of my food but I was underwhelmed. It tasted fairly home-made but just nothing super special. No kids menu. The best part about this place was the decor. Loved the whole vibe. read more

Tried this place with some friends while visiting from Vegas. It's a nice addition to Provo of something unique and appetizing. I had the tri-tip sandwich with sweet BBQ. I really wish I had gotten something else though. It was $9 for a 8-9 inch sandwich with nothing on it but meat! My wife and friends got their famous salad, which is delicious and a much better value than the sandwich. We also got the sweet potato fries and the buffalo fries, both of which were alright. All in all, the prices are a bit steep for what you get,but the salads are quite tasty. read more

Really delicious food. We tried the the Huduni burger and the Mr Beef. Both were great. The place is clean and I love the chalk art.

Ordered to go for a large group. They had everything ready for me when I got there. They have the best steak salad every. So healthy and delicious. read more

Staff is nice. But it takes forever to get your food. I waited 45 mins after I placed my order and then cold food.

My friend dragged me to this place because her boss thought it was pretty good. I was skeptical at first but happy to find out I had no reason to be. This place makes some delicious food. I ordered the tri tip sandwich Cali style with sweet BBQ sauce and it was the best steak sandwich I've ever had. The avocados were ripe, the steak was well seasoned, and the caramelized onions were actually correctly caramelized. The bread didn't get soggy and it had just the right amount of sauce. Normally steak sandwiches leave you with a heavy feeling but this one didn't. Great sandwich, worth the 10 bucks. They even give you hand wipes so you don't have to deal with sticky fingers. FYI the rosemary fries weren't anything special. You couldn't taste the rosemary. So don't come here for the fries and you'll leave happy. read more

I've been back to Cubby's a few more times since my first review and I just can't bump them up to 5 stars. I've tried some other items on the their menu and it's all been great, but it was my most recent visit that really forced me to keep the extra star. We were getting together with some friends so I took it as an opportunity to introduce everyone to one of my favorite spots - Cubby's. It was a Saturday night, and moderately busy. Unfortunately, though there were only a couple people in line in front of us, it took over 20 minutes just to get to the register. This was the first time I have visited that Cubby himself wasn't slinging the beefs and it seemed like the wheels feel off. The two employees just couldn't handle the place. Besides the brutally long wait just to place our order, it took an exceptionally long time (over 20 minutes again) to get our food and when it came there were multiple missteps. I ordered my beef hot and wet, and it came neither hot nor wet with only a couple small pieces of the giardiniera, and the normally juicy, flavorful beef was bone dry. Two other people in my group had errors on their orders as well (asking for additional toppings, or leaving toppings off.) I will be back, as I have seen Cubby's deliver, but I am disappointed because for the 6 people I brought with me- they just didn't feel the magic. read more

Great taste, friendly and timely service, reasonable amount of food for the price, with a side of humanity. I especially enjoyed the sweet potato fries. read more

Rustic decor, attentive staff and outrageously good food. I ordered the portabello sandwich with add-on sliced tri-tip, no bun. Heavenly flavors and textures include roasted red pepper, onions, and avocado. Awesome goodness. I am a fan. read more

One of the guys at the counter was rude. Our food also took a very long time to come out. Food was good but not great. Also the counter help were not at all helpful with our kid orders telling us that even a mild sauce was too hot when it was not. Their spicy isn't even that spicy. Also I read reviews about their mustard sauce so tried it. It just tasted liked mustard, didn't get the 'sauce' element. I am now in edit mode...and we packed up the chicken Parmesan salad because we were full. I just ate the salad and almost all is forgiven! Delicious salad and dressing! read more

Worse service. Waited a half hour for my food only to find out it was behind the counter. My brothers salad was awful. Won't be returning.

We have loved Cubby's but they removed the two normal grilled chicken salads from their menu along with a few other things. Do they not remember the demise of Mimi's Cafe when they revamped their menu. Cmon man! read more

The employees are always super nice. I love the chipotle fry sauce here and the sweet potato fries. If you don't like your order, the store will remake it even 2 more times until it is how you like it. They do this with no problem. They also have really good huckleberry shakes. read more

This was hands down my very favorite place to eat in Provo. I went in for dinner tonight to find not only did they get rid of some of my favorite salads (buffalo chicken, apple pecan, lemon chicken, berry salad) but they also got rid of my husbands favorite sandwich (tetonka). So so disappointed! They have new options on the menu, but they don't compare to what they took off. read more

Its healthy, quick and not that expensive. Usually after I have eaten some crappy food for a few days me and my wife will go here and get a salad. So good! Love the place! read more

Excellent Burgers! I love how fresh everything is here and how friendly the staff is. I have never had to wait long for my food and it always comes out hot! The rustic metal look is an added bonus for ambiance! read more

This lived up to all the hype. I had the tri-tip sandwich, which I'm usually hesitant to get because of poor meat, but this was the exception. Loved it. Meat was fantastic. No pieces with fat on them. Meat was tender and flavorful. Chatted with Cubby himself who was very friendly. Next time I eat down in Provo I know where to go! read more

Everytime I'm in Provo, I've gotta go back. The tri tip sandwich is perfect. Gotta get it california style!

If someone invokes the standard stereotype of American hamburgers, bring 'em here. Meat perfectly cooked, crispy rather than soggy fries ( of various kinds), real cheese, a variety of lettuces and herbs, . . . . The soda machine could use some adjusting (true for almost every fast food restaurant), but otherwise excellent food. read more

I have been to cubbys a handful of times & have never been disappointed! I love all they have to offer! If you are a real fan you will do yourself a favor and buy one of their shirts, it's one of my favorites! Just go to cubbys, I usually ask the employee to tell me their favorite & I end up loving whatever they tell me! Great place, great atmosphere, great service! read more

Ordered the tri tip sandwich and the rosemary fries.. have to say they were pretty good... Tender beef and crispy fries is all I needed, well... Maybe just a tad more BBQ sauce but over all the flavors were pretty awesome read more

The food is excellent here. All the meats are cooked well, lots of flavors and combinations, even the sides here are good. I think it's a little too expensive, but you'll definitely get filled up. read more

I didn't like my sandwich but they let me change it and it was a much better fit for my palate. Great service and very good.

The sandwiches are SO good here. The prices aren't exactly easy on your wallet, but it keeps me coming back (seemingly against my better financial judgement) every couple of weeks or so, so they must be doing something right. read more

Second time going was just as good as the first! This time however I tried the Mac n' cheese as a side and it was really good! I will definitely get that again! Go if you're in the mood for a good BBQ sandwich or salad or anything else. read more

I love a good Italian beef sandwich, and to be honest, I was a little disappointed. The beef itself was good, but the bread tasted dough-y when it was wet. The tri-tip sandwiches, on the other hand, were off the hook. The meat was tender and full of flavor, and you have a choice of many different ways to make your sandwich unique-- jalapenos, BBQ sauce, bleu cheese. We also had the sweet potato fries, which were pretty standard, and the Buffalo and Bleu fries, which were regular fries covered in Frank's Red Hot sauce and bleu cheese dressing. It was a different little twist on the smothered fries concept. Packed on a Friday night, I would return on a weekday or a less crowded evening, but I would not stand in line for 30 minutes like I did just to eat here. read more

Ok so the staff was very very nice. Their fries and shakes were amazing and I've heard great things about their salads but I was in the mood for a burger. The first one was completely raw.. which I know some people like but I can't handle raw meat. I had them make it again and told them to over cook it but it still came back still pretty raw. It has a very strong taste. I know some people might like it but I literally almost threw up. So personally if you're not a fan of rare meat, go with a chicken burger or the salad. read more

This place is very hipster, freezing at night (and I'm never cold) and the fries were cut too thin for any flavor other than salt, lots of salt. The burger was very generic and not incredibly flavorful, but the tri-tip steak sandwich was okay, could have benefited from less sugar in the BBQ. The spiciness of the sauce was a pleasant surprise, but did not do enough to counteract the sugar. Not an awful date night, just some things that could be improved. Price was manageable, but still too much, especially in the case of burgers, to get a double was an extra $3. Ludicrous. read more

Overall great. Sweet Potato fries a win - crispy and sweet. Grilled cheese with steak had so many interesting flavors. My parents both enjoyed their burgers, and husband reports the steak sandwich was a winner although ordering it Caliente did not make JT spicy. Will visit again. read more

Thought I'd give this joint another chance... got the Mr Beef.... should have been called the Mr NO beef. I'm not sure if they are scrimping on the meat or if it was just a bad day for the place but there was literally one layer of thin beef on the sandwich and it was barely even warm. The bread was still disappointing, they did change to an even more thick and doughy bread which isn't good for that type of sandwich. Fries were great, salads were good..... come on boys nail down the Mr Beef and get it right. Maybe take a trip back to chi town to get it figured out. read more

Love Cubby's, but sad about tonight's experience. We ordered one of our favorites, the wild rice and kale salad (no chicken, extra avocado) and tomato soup (wanted a large to split, but they were out of large containers so we settled for medium) to go. When we got home, we discovered that the salad was in a new kind of container and there was noticeably less of it. No chicken, but also no extra avocado. And when we opened the soup container it was barely 2/3 full (no leaks). Feeling like we paid for more than we got. read more

I had the pikey with rosemary French fries and Mac and cheese. The sandwich was good and tasty, but the Mac and cheese was soupy and not much flavor and the rosemary French fries tasted like regular French fries read more

LOVED Cubby's! Our service was fast & friendly. My questions about the menu were answered and the food was GREAT! I had the Tri-Tip Salad. One friend had the 3 Grilled Cheese which she loved and I think the other had the Original. We also shared sweet potato & rosemary fries which were great. We all loved it. I think the prices are fine - pretty comparable. I'll be back with the husband. He will love it. read more

Definitely one of my new favorite places in Provo. The tri-tip salad is amazing, and the sweet potato fries with chipolte fry sauce are not to be missed. read more

Got the tri tip steak sandwich with sweet BBQ sauce. I had high expectations and it didn't disappoint. Also tried the rosemary peppered fries-yum. And the accordion cut crispy sweet potato fries. Such a hit. Especially if you pair them with the chipotle sauce. I am one happy girl, hoping to return again soon. read more

Excellent food. Tried the Rip City Tri Tip Steak sandwich. It was delicious--savory BBQ sauce & tender beef, served on a fresh bun. Loved the caramelized onions & bacon that was added. Sweet Potato fries were good, but my only complaint was the fries came lukewarm. I'll definitely come back. read more

This place is not a great place to go if you don't want the sandwich made the way they prefer, which is soaked in a watery vinegar "sauce" in a bun that falls apart instantly. I tried this place twice and both times requested my sandwich "dry" which apparently, to them, means "wet". The other dishes (salads, burgers) are just ok, and overpriced compared to comparable places. They cash in on their decor and instagram popularity I suppose, but there's very little meat on the actual bones of this place. read more

I had the Mr meat and I have to say I was less than impressed. I couldn't even finish it. Bread was soggy and the meat just seemed dry. Better with sauce on it but I'd never recommend it. My husband, however, had the tri tip and it was DELICIOUS. So I just won't get the Mr meat again. Also LOVE the sweet potato fries. That's what we heard is good there and they did not dissappoint. read more

The food is very good and the environment is excellent. I recommend the tri tip sandwich and the buffalo blue cheese fries are awesome!!!! The burgers are good as well. Also grab a cookie for dessert they are amazing. I would like to see beer added to the menu as it would compliment the food very well. read more
