Honestly, I have always enjoyed cubbys. Never had anything too big to complain about but this weekend I went and ordered the tri tip sandwich. I was starving so I ordered the big dog. The cashier girl confirmed and said big dog? I said yes. Then I paid about $10 and some change. I get my food a little while later and it is the regular size (which is not nearly enough food when I am starving). I go back to the counter and say I ordered a big dog. The lady that took my order proceeds to argue with me and say I only paid for a regular size and then just stared at me saying nothing else! She even confirmed that I said big dog, so it was her fault I got the wrong sandwich. $12 for a big dog is overpriced in my opinion, over $10 for a sandwich half that size is way overpriced, and the way the employee treated me after that was extremely rude. Probably won't be back sadly. read more

This is a well deserved five star. Cubbys has become a favorite of mine because they make awesome quality food. I'm happy to see them popping up all over the place, but I hope that because they are expanding it doesn't mean they start taking shortcuts. My favorite sandwich is the Tri-Tip Steak sandwich with the Spicy BBQ sauce. They seriously nailed it out of the park with this one. The bread holds together well and has a nice chew to it, the steak is tender, juicy and flavorful. The BBQ sauce is full flavored with a touch of spice to let you remember you ordered the Spicy BBQ but not too overwhelming. They also serve delicious buffalo fries that are lathered in buffalo sauce and creamy blue cheese. They are ridiculously good. Their rosemary fries are also delicious but I wouldn't recommend ordering other because the portion sizes are huge! Also get a chocolate whoopie cookie. I usually will but one for me and one for my wife; but I actually usually buy two for me and greedily eat one inside before going out with the rest of my food. They are seriously good. Keep it up Cubby's and remember expansion is great but stay small minded, don't change a great thing :) read more

I love Cubby's! It was one of the first places I went to when I moved to Utah and I have visited many, many times. The food is really delicious and they have an awesome variety of dishes. Some of the best customer service I've received. My wife and I were returning from a long road trip, and Cubby's sounded like it would hit the spot. We went all out. We ordered the Pikey, Mr. Beef, a side of mac and cheese, and some rosemary fries. First, let me say all of those are awesome options. The Mr. Beef is just the perfect amount of moist and spicy, the mac and cheese is rich and creamy, and the rosemary fries have the perfect amount of herbs and salt and are crispy. This review is mostly about the customer service. Anyway, I made the order stated above to go. I gave the young man my name. Someone walked out from the kitchen toward me several minutes later gave me a bag and asked if I was Parker. (My name is Porter, but restaurants always think it's Parker). Anyway, I took my order and left. Once I got home, I realized we had taken someone else's order. Turns out there actually was a Parker there. I called in to Cubby's letting them know what had happened and asked if I could still come get our order. They told me to keep the order, come back, and they would make everything fresh. They also apologized. It wasn't their fault at all. It was mine. I was very impressed that they would remake everything for me even thought I created a problem for them. I'm sure they had to remake Parker's order, and now they had to remake my order. Even if they hadn't offered to remake my order, I would have returned to Cubby's because I love the food, but now I am going to be their #1 fan and patron! 12/10 above and beyond service and food would try again. read more

This place is known for the insanely good meat, but I come for the salad. The Lemon Chicken Parmesan salad was out of this world. I love grape tomatoes, and they added the perfect amount to my salad. My mom ordered the Tri-Tip Steak salad, and the meat was cooked and seasoned PERFECTLY. Overall satisfying meal. Don't even get me started on the fries. Oh. My. Goodness. My family ordered the sweet potato fries, rosemary fries, and the buffalo and bleu cheese fries. The buffalo and bleu cheese fries were, hands down, some of the best fries I've ever had in Provo. I'm passionate about bleu cheese, so it was cool to see how they made both a buffalo sauce and a bleu cheese sauce and combined those to top the fries. The buffalo sauce cut the tangy flavor of the bleu cheese, so they were perfectly paired. Eat them quick or else they get a little soggy! read more

I always love the flavor of food here. Great ingredients and the sweet potato fries and dipping sauce is heavenly. However, Parking lot is always a nightmare and food takes a moment to come out. Burger sizes are pretty small. The salads on the other hand, are great but they kind of skimp on meat servings. Other than that. Cubby's is my Go-To! My husband can get a burger, I can get a salad or soup, and the kids can eat here too! I could eat their chicken, kale, wild rice salad everyday and never get tired of it. (I sub feta instead of Gorgonzola). The fries are so good, regular and sweet potato. I always end up ordering both because I can never decide between the two. Seriously this place is delicious. I love all the food! Prices are high, but for food a lot higher quality than regular fast food. Been to the same location twice, speed of service doesn't seem to be their forte, waited 30-45 minutes in the drive-thru both times. Hamburgers are my favorite things to order. This place sucks. We paid almost $50 for 2 burgers, a Mac and cheese and some drinks. We had high expectations for this place because of how much we spent. Highly disappointed! The fries were freezing cold (they tasted like cold McDonald's fries). The burger had no seasoning or taste to it, and the mocha shake tasted so weird.. it tasted nothing like mocha. Cubby's is similar to a Five Guys in quality and price. But Cubby's doesn't provide peanuts. The Houdini burger (top sirloin patty, sauteed onions, bacon, smoked gouda, crispy onions, greens and tarragon sauce) is my go-to at Cubby's. I love this joint! The food is complete quality. I always feel completely satisfied, happy and full when I eat here. I normally have the tri tip salad. But everything is so good. The tri tip sandwich is also very very good. And let's not talk about the fries. There all super delish. The sweet potato, rosemary are my favorite. There's so much to choose from. One can never get bored of this menu. They have choices for kids as well. The ambience is fantastic, the room here in Provo is split in three section which makes it awesome for social gatherings for lunch or dinner and they have a room with huge tvs up so one can watch a game and tables outside as well. This is one of my favorite places in Utah. Food is amazing. Personally I always get the tetonka. But there's one major intolerable drawback that makes my teeth grow hairline fractures while I'm sitting in their restaurant. They don't have rubber stomps on their chairs so there is constant metal screeching across the floor from people moving their chairs. Its like nails running slowly down a chalkboard but 10 times worse. I couldn't enjoy my food because it sounds like screaming demons from hell are being tortured by metal chairs. Its like having that 9th teacher that smoked catnip and had really long colorful fake nails drag them painfully slowly down that green chalkboard while they crack, chip, and break while she grinds her teeth together. Listening to that noise makes my teeth hurt and ruins my tetonka. I would get rubber stomps for the bottom of the chairs. That would fix the metal on metal terror. read more

I feel like Cubby's has become somewhat of a Utah staple. I love seeing locations upon locations opening up everywhere because the food is so great. This location is the OG so it holds a special place in my heart. Although it's almost always busy, the service is quick and friendly. The guys who work there all seem genuinely happy to be doing what they do. I highly recommend getting their ti-tip steak salad. It's taken me a long time to try anything else because I love that steak salad so much. But you gotta give the quinoa salad and apple chicken pecan salad a try as well. If you're feeling indulgent, get one of those whoopee pies at the counter, it's amazing. read more

I tried something new tonight -- this buffalo chicken salad ($8.99) was my flip-of-a-coin salad. The red wine salad dressing had no taste to me, but then again, it helped me concentrate on the crumbled blue cheese and walnuts in the salad. The greens were fresh, so were the small half tomatoes. College town decor with reused wood in the masculine decor with subtle lights. I enjoyed my meal at Cubby's. Nothing fancy- the tri-tip sandwich was OK, not the best I have ever had, but the side mac and cheese was really good. Service was good, it is a counter ordering set up then the food was brought out to your table. Drinks were self serve at a fountain. The line was steady with 4-5 people in it and two cashiers were working at about 4:45 PM. Lots of kitchen help. I was in the mood for a milkshake, but the choices just didn't sound good- I mean buttermilk blueberry (I remember the buttermilk part for sure) just didn't appeal to me. read more
