I have been donating for about 5 months. I have always been greeted with professionalism from the screening through the donation process. The staff is well-trained. I have never had an uncomfortable moment with the injection of the needle, and they stress to let them know if you need anything while you are donating. I have been donating for about 8 years and never had a bad experience until rita she didn't listen to me or my concerns. She was rude and didn't make me feel like me donating mattered like I was just a patient in the hospital not a life saving donor. I have never felt so disrespected when trying to save others. And then when I called into voice my concerns, I was greeted with a female manager who is one of her friends and also made me feel like my concerns were not validated. and then locked my account.... On the other hand amber, tanner , Maria and Matt are absolutely amazing and made my experience better the next time I went in. Do you enjoy having your teeth pulled? Maybe accidental waxing or surprise digestion issues? If so, maybe this is the place for you. What an absolute waste of a company. Be prepared to fork over all sorts of PII (SSN, utility bill, current Drivers licenses, physical SSN card, etc...) Then expect to wait multiple hours, regardless that you scheduled your visit and filled out all the forms. I was there purely to donate, I had no interest in being paid or anything else. On 4/28/26, i went to this plasma center to donate. The first time they tell you, it takes about three and a half hours to go through the complete process. I got to my physical.It was a paramedic that did the physical and he said, you didn't get enough sleep.You can come back tomorrow. So 2 days later on the 30th of April, I went back in he also said, when you come in, you'll just have to sign in the kiosk and they will take you back. And you don't have to go through all of this again. I went back in and had to go through everything again. I questioned them why? And they said, well, I have to answer the questions correctly, which I did. And then I ended up with a physical again after going through the kios, the test, the video, the vitals again with a nurse, and she said, I didn't qualify, because I had an illness back in 2018. I had A-fib. Since then i've been healthy. They took all that time for me.And they could have told me that the first time I was in there. She told me he was a paramedic, so the male paramedic is pretty much a chicken and wouldn't tell me I couldn't have the donation. I wasted two days. I would not recommend this plasma center to anyone!!! read more

I worked here for a short period and quit without notice. I find it funny that when I sent a text to the GM on 5/12/25 if I could come back to work, not even 4 days later I was permanently deferred from donating at any plasma facility. Also the same day I texted the manager was the same day they pulled my plasma for STD testing. Coincidence? Absolutely not. I have a negative test result from my doctor on 5/5/25. They do not care about those they serve and some staff have poor quality of care for what they are doing. If you want to donate plasma I suggest elsewhere. I came here to donate plasma today it's been a while so they consider me a new donor which means I get to jump to the front of the line yippie!!!!! Usually this location is extremely busy leaving staff very little time for sociable quick talk. But today I was rather impressed with the whole team and process today. The front desk receptionist helpfully got me through the check-in process quickly. Now I'm sitting in my donation chair getting my IV hooked up to start the donation process and I'm watching a phlebotomists named Jackie cleaning the empty chair in front of me. I've donated at other places in the past, and even here I've never seen anybody be so thorough with cleaning the chair as Jackie, She made sure to wipe every part of the chair and the arm piece. Usually techs just spray spray wipe real quick, and they're done missing majority of the chair and all of the arm rest. So thank you Jackie for taking the extra couple seconds to be thorough. Don't come here. I came under the promotion. The first day was long. The look of the place is gross and ghetto. The lady who stuck the needle in me looked like a crackhead. Scabs on her body. I was thinking omg they hire homeless people. She missed the vein and I can feel the vacuum of the needle and hurt so much. Then a supervisor came and wiggled the needle while it was in my arm. Such a painful experience. I left and was like omg that was such a terrible experience. Then my arm bruised up the next day. I've never had a bruise as big as this and I was in pain for 10 days. I went back for a 2nd visit and they said omg that bruise looks disgusting. I replied you gave it to me. They said don't come back for another week or 10 days until the bruise is completely healed. They also said I have forfeited my promotion because I had to have my arm heal before showing back. Any $$$ received is not worth this much time and pain at this location. read more

C-Diff alert. A devoted Plasma Center donor found out she has C-Diff and is being treated for it. She notified staff because Center bathrooms are the only public toilets she uses.They said you can't get C-Diff from toilet seats. Not true. Months ago, an employee exposed himself to her. We've made formal complaints, but he still works there. Now they're using the C-Diff situation, which she may have gotten there, as an excuse to ban her, permanently. read more

I've been coming here on and off for years, 14 to be exact. I've had good experiences and bad experiences, today was ridiculous. I had a pencil eraser sized bruise that was the shade of green on my upper bicep and was sent to medical which they were short staffed and tending to a medical emergency on the floor so I was unable to get assistance. A PENCIL TIP LIGHT GREEN BRUISE NOT NO WHERE THE PUNCTURE SITE IS?! The employees on the floor blamed management that they could not make that determination. The pay rates also changed which hardly makes it worth it anymore. CSL - I will not be returning. read more

I used to donate here twice a week, every week. I was deferred over a year ago, saying I had a positive syphilis test. I went my doctor and got tested, results were non reactive (negative) so I went back to csl for them to draw blood to test as well. Very shortly after, I got a letter on the mail saying that my sample had again tested negative, but that I had to wait for a phone call from medical. That was over a year and a half ago. Generally I call and they tell me to come in. I come in and they tell me I can't donate until medical calls and speaks to me. I go home, and medical never calls me. After a month, I try again. This has happened over and over and not one time has medical called me. read more

Here's a thorough review of CSL Plasma Gilbert which opened in the second week of December of 2014. How do I know that? Ive been donating there since day one. Im giving it a 4 star rating because thats what it deserves Management- I have to start with management because essentially that's going to impact a donor's experience with the center more than anything else. An employee can tell whether a manager sees them as just a number or an actual real person. This will play a role in the overall moral and performance. ive seen them come and go from Erica, Chris, and melissa and so on. Since Will moved into the role ive noticed a considerable improvement. Promotions of Tabby up front and Kayla in the back has added stability and an a much more consistent efficiency of operations. Staff- CSL has a turnover rate that is can only be comparable to McDonald's. The only thing that i cant understand is how they are still second because its possible Mickey Ds pays more! DONT quote me on that, it was a joke. But what isnt funny is that CSL doesnt pay thier phlebotomists enough to make it a job worth excelling at let alone showing up to everyday. It's been so bad it's actually helped employees find other employment that would pay them closer to thier worth. CSL tends to hire fresh out of HS , or college undergrad often as well. This means its only a matter of time before they outgrow the place. I dont quite understand why it makes sense to operate this way. As a business owner myself i can say that I would rather have 4 quarters then 100 pennies any day. Not trying to discredit those wonderful Gen Zers, CSL has actually gotten lucky with hires like Mikey (front) and Arlene in the back. At any rate, high turn over automatically results in frequency of being understaffed. Cant blaim the staff thats there for the staff thats not.....make sense? Overall experience- Just like any other customer service related experience..9/10 you can pretty much expect to get it how you give it. Dont be an ass and it will most likely go well for you. In these Covid times its made it more important then ever to DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Maybe CSL isnt the right place for you to donate, but if you take this review and really understand it then CSL will work fine. They have an app that seems pretty accurate as to times they are busy and not busy. if time means anything to you, use It. I've had such a terrible experience with this place. The front desk and medial team are horrendously slow to move the line along. The phlebotomists just graduated their program, so you are literally their first round trial pokes. Crappy business model. Terrible processes in place that make little to no sense. Total lack of equip personal working there. The workers are polite and some seem to care about the donators but this place is trash. read more

To whom it may concern, The removal of VIP privileges incentivizes me to leave. Which is sad. Michelle, Kayla, Josh all need raises. They are great. Basically it works like this: If my wait time is greater than 2 hours, i am no longer making money. This happens because you're paying new donors 1100$/1st month to make my wait in excess of 3 hours for my 480$/month. Do the math with me, 480$/8 = 60$/3 =20$/hour Or 1100$/8 = 130$/3 =40$ per hour And all i want is to be streamlined thru the waiting process because of my loyalty. Please reconsider this move, and I'll reconsider my recommendation to stay away from a company with such a disregard for loyalty. read more

I recently visited this location. This was my first time being a donor and I got treated like a drug addicted. First off, Mason was not knowledgeable about company policy I asked many different questions about the screening process that he could not answer. Then I wait 2 hours for an exam done by an older nurse. She gives me an attitude for not being able to fully extend my elbow pasted my head when raising arm. She told me Im too young for my arms to do that which is totally unprofessional. I go to the gym 3x a week so yeah my arms and legs are tight and stressed doesnt mean you give donors a hard time! I will say they compensated me more than other plasma centers. However, I changed to Biolife and I like them way more than CSL. First - I don't like that no one at CSL changes their gloves. A tech once touched the site on a person's arm where the needle had gone in to adjust its position...then walked over to me to help me. I asked her to change her gloves and she looked at me like I was crazy. She said "we don't really change our gloves." I work in hospital and I was very bothered to see that each visit. Second- it's always a long line and wait before you even sit. Usually an hour to an hour and a half. Biolife has appointments only so I never wait. In and out in an hour to an hour and 20 minutes. Usually I was at CSL 2 hours at least. Third - they are always understaffed. A lot of times the staff is moody, but sometimes they are really nice. This new place I'm going to had plenty of staff and all very friendly. Other than those 3 big things I don't think I have any complaints. And... I'm not here to promote biolife.. just comparing the experience now that I have tried other plasma centers. Happy donating people. read more

Reception does well . Can be more attentive to guests at the front desk waiting. Screeners- Are friendly, professional and efficient at screening. Work on finger stick procedures . Had to be re-stuck after waiting for my sample to finish spinning. Due to bubbles in the sample and not enough blood. Often bloody cotton balls in booths. Often don't see techs change gloves. Had to ask screener to clean dry blood off screening both counter. MSA- was friendly, humorous, professional and sets a perfect example for excellent work ethic. DST- all have been kind and efficient very good at their job. Phlebotomists- most perfect at sticking only one needing to adjust her stick. Alaina . They don't change gloves between donors. While you're in line you watch them wear the same gloves when screening the donors. Not only does that spread germs between people but they are handing blood with the finger stick. They also don't change them on the donor floor.. after sticking people. I went in and tried to donate plasma spent a good 2-3 hours there For them to tell me I couldn't donate plasma because I have NF1 and I have it in my antecubital area because I have skin formations right in the area that they can go in that they usually go in that's the easiest but I called my doctor asking hey I wanted to donate plasma but they told me I couldn't because of my NF1 and where it is Is there any other veins that they can use instead using a vein in the antecubital area My doctor said that they can go on the side near that area or further down on my arm closer to my hand so I would recommend not going here read more

Walked in to donate wearing a tank top and immediately was leered at by Mike S., the young blonde male phlebotomist. He made a comment about how he could "see everything" and I was pulled out of line by his superior. She said my top was too revealing and I was made to wear a scrubs top, with her blaming possible perverts in line instead of her own staff. Then when I was finally on the donation floor, Mike made another comment about how he was "glad she covered up, I don't need to be distracted". I used to really like donating at CSL however my latest experience has turned me away. Evidently when you donate and the worker chooses not to do their job so you politely ask for help you get deferred and told that you're rude. Their customer service is lacking in the extreme and they have no consideration for their patients. This is a medical procedure that should be handled with care and unfortunately this location just doesn't make me feel comfortable. If you don't want to come to work and actually work, then go home! As always this place is grossly under staffed plan on a minimum of 2 hours. The personel they do have here is sub standard at best. The Vitals Check Point staff is horrible. They can not see more than 2 people in a row without getting up to use the bathroom or "go take care of something" one lady left and came back 10 minutes later and sat down while she was still chewing on whatever food she stuffed in her mouth!! As I am standing in line waiting and typing this two Vitals checkers just left after only seeing Two People. Proving my point even more. I enjoyed my donation, frankly. Yes, it took about two hours to get to the actual donating, but it was my first time. Every staff member I encountered had a great attitude and was friendly and polite. I wish I could remember all of their names, but the lady who pricked my finger (Robin) was hilarious and made the process fun and comfortable. The actual donating was conducted in a professional matter by friendly staff. I feel great! I won't name the other plasma center that I've repeatedly tried to donate at, but this one is FAR better by comparison! The other place made me wait 5 hours only to tell me that they couldn't see me that day. Today they only made me wait one hour, but I wish they had been more upfront with me. So I'm not gonna lie the wait was long, I got there before they opened and was there til around 11am however it was my first time which I heard always takes a little longer. On the other hand every staff member I came in contact with were very nice and helpful, i even shared a few jokes with a few of them and I'm highly scared of needles.. let me tell you now it's a BIG needle but my tech was very helpful and has been the only tech in my entire life that made me feel comfortable and took my mind off of it for my entire hour donation. Drink plenty of water the night before and day of and bring a small snack with protein like nuts or something, I heard it makes the process much shorter and easier. read more

Phlebotomists are highly untrained they blew my vein and are always causing you to bruise. The girl with the ginger hair was in a rush and shoved damn near half the needle in my arm.
