Everybody has been awesome. It's a high pressure job and I try to be understanding. Usually asking how they're doing before YOU essentially ask them to stab you is a good idea. Helping break the ice is the best plan of action. Thank you to Vivian, Sam, and Gavin for a job well done. And thank you to the many more that will help me get where I need to be financially. Amazing jobs. read more

I had an appointment yesterday at 6:10pm, I showed up, and it said I was deferred, so I held for a nurse. I waited for about 10 minutes. I didn't get the nurse's name. I see her there in the evenings: brunette, wavy Hair, ponytail, middle-aged. She told me my protein is low and that I need to build it up, which is fine and totally understandable. Thank you for looking out. The problem that I have is that the whole time she just has this attitude I dealt with her before; she just has an attitude problem. Everyone there's nice and she just has this attitude like she just doesn't wanna be there. When I asked her questions, I asked her why nobody called me because I had to make arrangements to make sure that I made my appointment today; if they would've called me that would've been beneficial for me. She got an attitude and she told me that she could show me the log; they did call me and maybe it's because my voicemail is full or I changed my phone number. Immediately putting it on me, trying to gaslight me. I told her, " No, I've had the same phone number for 30 years and my voicemail is not full. " She proceeded to tell me that she's the only one there and people are waiting. I told her there was no need to be rude and defensive. She says she was not being rude, defensive. I told her, well, I'm taking it that way because of her tone. I wasn't even taking much of her time we were in consult for 5 minutes maybe; she made me wait and then she just wants to dismiss me, when I said it would of been nice to get a call. I'm not upset that I wasn't able to donate. I don't care. I don't have to do this. It's just her attitude, and it's a long time coming, because I dealt with her before and she's been rude. So this is just pertaining to her everyone else has been nice. Sincerely, Cruz Knight UPDATE- When I got home, I checked. Somebody did call in the morning, but they didn't leave a message. It would have been nice if they had left a message. They just said hello, and that's it. Attaching a screenshot of the call. read more

BioLife Plasma Services - This is BioLife leaving their supposed message. - Blood & Plasma Donation Centers Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

Complete waste of an 80-minute round-trip drive. I was turned away at the door solely because I have tattoos on my arms, even though my ink is 10+ years old and perfectly healed. I have impossible-to-miss veins, but BioLife refuses to properly train their staff to draw through tattooed skin like other companies do. To make it worse, they do nothing to warn you before you arrive. The Solution: BioLife needs to add a single question to their pre-screening survey: "Do you have tattoos directly covering the inner bend of your arm?" Putting that one question on the app or website would have saved me nearly an hour and a half of driving, gas, and wasted time. Instead, they prioritize their own corporate convenience over potential donors' time. Go to CSL or Octapharma instead; they actually train their staff and know how to do their jobs. read more

My appointment at 9:30 am. I'm still sitting here one hr later and still haven't been hooked up. Ridiculous! Why make an appointmen? I don't have all day! They want our plasma but don't care at all to try to meet appointment. Very frustrating. Poor service. 1 star read more

Do not recommend. Had great care with them in the east coast but for some reason both my experience on CA and AZ have been uneventful i was told when I left East Coast.I could go to california one and have no problems while they told me I wasn't a registered registering yet, so they refuse me no questions asked after a 2 and a 1/2 hour round-trip. When we moved to Arizona 51 rate down the street from my house had problems logging into their system. We went there in person. Had another client with me to try to get her started. And They wouldn't let me come until the next day. So we cancel her appointment supposedly. They made appointments together like we asked for us the next day when we went there. They only had one of us booked and they booked my girlfriend for the following Wednesday, and they said there's nothing we can do. Unprofessional, front desk service, hearing impared only one person taking vitals, about 8 to 10 people in the waiting rooms waiting to be seen. We're actually glad we did not stay and wasted our 5 hours. We went back to another one. Not gonna mention the name, but I do not recommend this place. Thank you, and have a good day. read more

Zero stars if I could. I almost died at this last donation. Because they are so understaffed they didn't see me in distress. I couldn't breathe, and I couldn't move, thanks to someone across from me seeing me almost lose consciousness for saying something. They took my needle out but didn't ask if I was okay when I stood up to leave. I waited 3.5 hours for my session at 9:20am and left at 12:45pm I have never been so upset with a business who is supposedly helping people and screwing over the people who are trying to make money to pay their bills. I was promised an amount and I did not receive it. Which really sucked it was a really foul move. I've gone 3 times too many, and it's not worth it. Getting poked, forgotten afterwards for almost 30 minutes. All 3 times have been getting worse and I can't do it anymore. Especially after this last one. These people are not kind from start to finish. The pay is not worth it. The place is dirty. I have noticed they handle blood without changing gloves. There's bloody gauze on the floor. I am so disgusted and angry. I will be reaching out to corporate and the BBB for this, this almost costed me my life for the negligence of these folks literally hanging out and giggling at each other. The fact the way they pay out has hidden fees and ways to not give you your full funds really speaks volumes. read more

OMG. These people are the slowest I've ever seen. They might as well be government workers. Over an hour from check in to starting my donation. In a section with a guy that has no sense of urgency. Markus has six beds in his section and 4 people are sitting waiting to get hooked up. He has no sense of urgency at all. Talk about slow. It's not worth your time to donate here. I used to donate at a different BioLife center that ran like clockwork. Never a wait for anything. These people need more training and someone to teach them how to be efficient. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

DO NOT TELL THEM YOU CHANGED MEDICATION!! Are you supposed to tell them? Sure! But once you do, you have to wait for their "special doctor" to check a box in your file before you can donate again. And that "special doctor" only works once a month! Forget the fact the medication is approved to take while donating, they're gonna make you miss three weeks before they check the special box that says the medicine was fine all along. And to keep from caring, they'll hide behind "it's our policy". read more

Came in and got the best stick of my life from Nathan! Will always come back here such a great environment and kind people!

Excessively long wait guiness even with appointments. The phlebotomists don't normally have a personality. The last time I went I ended up having to go to the ER...it's costing me much much more than the measly dollars I made donating. They had a new tech on the floor that didn't properly seat the needle in my arm. I told my bicep was cramping when the return started and she finished the process anyway. I ended up with a bruise up and down my entire arm. read more

Waste of time! Three hours on first visit and only got through medical screening. Seemed to be under staffed. Will not return.

Shoutout to Isaac at BioLife! He was super fast, efficient, and professional, getting me (and everyone else) in and out smoothly. This was my second time donating in his section, and once again he absolutely nailed it, the stick was painless, which says a lot. Isaac clearly knows what he's doing and makes the whole process way more comfortable. Big raise needed for this guy! read more

For the past month the quality of service has gone down tremendously. Every time I come here I have to spend a minimum of 2.5 hours here yet my machine/bed time is 25 mins the remainder of the time is a waiting game because they either over book or don't have enough staff to cover the bookings. read more

I spent nearly 2 hours to start the process to do my first donation. The doctor looks at my Tattoo on my bicep 2 inches from when the needle will be placed. Told me I couldn't donate because of it according to their policy. I Read the tattoo policy multiple times and it states that it can't be where the needle will be placed to donate. The needle would be inserted away from where my tattoo is. The nurse wouldn't even take the time to look at my other arm. read more

Terrible service. They keep taking my husbands blood for testing and never do anything with it. He didn't get the rest of his promo month because they said "his blood was at the lab still" which is BS. Waste of time and gas. read more

If you have a tattoo on your arm anywhere near the elbow ditch, don't waste your time. They won't accept you or your plasma donation.

I hate this place they said I couldn't donate because I have a minor fear of needles and because I didn't eat before so I went through all the test for them to tell me I had to go somewhere else so they wasted two hours of my time read more

Great customer service !! Very knowledgeable staff members. Could use a few more staff members to speed up the process thou !!

After 4 years of going, twice a week, almost without fail, I've stopped. BioLife has lowered their average pay by $100+/mo; shamefully low pay for people who work all day and still take time out of their day (not to mention gas) to go do plasma. It really can be considered donating at this rate. They also have no respect for your time. Every step of this process has become gruelling and time consuming. It's taking anywhere from 2-3 hours to get out of there lately. I know they like to call it "donating plasma", but let's be real; we're selling our TIME and our plasma... our resources. They like to play on your emotions with feel-good stories about your plasma saving lives, and it's true. It's also a very good thing, but Takeda is a $29 billion dollar pharmaceutical company. Their compensation for our (wasted) time and resources is pathetic and insulting. read more

They don't cap appointments. These guys are very slow and Don't come here unless you cancel all your day plans.

Worse place to try to donate waste of time if u have tattoos they are the only place that has said something about tattoos and I donated at different places never had a problem if I could rate zero stars I would I dnt even let them stick me in the arm with the tattoo do not recommend anyone to donate here they need to be shut down read more

So I know I've made a 5 star review before, but I feel the need to make another review after visiting 4 other locations. The staff is nice here, I really like them. But I feel like they're extremely short staffed, and also from being at 4 other locations, I feel like there's a lack in sense of urgency. Recently the lines have been overwhelmingly long. And this review isn't to knock any of the employees, but to let other people be aware how long it takes at this location. Every other location I've been to has me in and out in no longer than an hour and 20 minutes. This location, on average takes an hour to be seated, and occasionally it can take someone up to 30 minutes to address you after you've been seated. If you're crunched for time and think you'll be in and out here, you won't. That's all. read more

The employees don't talk or say more than they have to. I wasn't looking for a conversation but a hello, my name is so and so would be nice. I also watched as many employees as I could and not one of them changed their gloves today. From starting the needle poke to removing the needle, not one that I witnessed changed gloves in between people. The type of care was fair at most. read more

Great customer service! Riley was extremely helpful and made my experience great. Thank you!

I am new to plasma donation and am no expert, but I have to believe the process shouldn't be this way. Whoever manages the schedule/appointments has no respect for the donors time. Your website states, "On a donor's first visit, the whole process, including a physical examination provided by BioLife, medical screening and the plasma donation, usually takes around two hours. Repeat donors generally spend approximately an hour in the center." - that is literally copy/pasted from the FAQ section of your website. Each time I've gone in, half of the stations are not in use because there aren't enough staff. It is taking over an hour to get screened, then over an hour to get assigned a station, then another hour to actually do the donation. It's easily 3-4 hours for repeat donors. This is NOT what your website claims. This location is accepting appointments for every 5 minutes from when they open to when they close...this might have made sense if you are fully staffed, but because you aren't, why haven't you updated the appointments to only accept the amount of donors that reflects the staff you currently have? I have had such great experiences with the staff, all of them are pleasant and kind. But it is obvious they need help and support. If you're unable to hire more people, stop taking so many donor appointments. I would rather see no appointments available then sign up for one that will result in 3-4 hour wait times...that's not an appointment, that's a walk in clinic. My husband was recently diagnosed with a condition that relies on plasma donors, which is what drove me to do my part. Getting the compensation is a blessing on top of that, as it helps pay for his medical expenses and the rising costs of living. I want to continue donating, but I won't be able to if I can't count on an appointment time being honored. read more

This plasma center and staff are amazing. They are super respectful and kind. They also are very gentle with the needle, wait times are better than other plasma centers, equipment is newer and they provide a snack. I love the appointment system even though I thought I'd hate it because you can reschedule within the same day. I highly recommend going to this location with it's amazing staff read more

I've donated at a different plasma center before this one, and I can confidently say that BioLife is the best. While the app is a little buggy and prone to closing randomly, the ability to actually schedule an appointment is AWESOME. The first center I donated at didn't have a scheduling system, it was first-come-first-served. Because of this, I often waited multiple hours before being able to donate plasma (a process that is lengthy in and of itself!) Here I have consistently been in and out in under an hour and a half. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and I feel I've been able to connect with each of them, which is important to me because plasma donation is kind of a vulnerable process (hello, needle in your arm!) Cannot recommend them enough. read more

Butchered my veins. On third session screwed my right vein with hematoma. So used left vein couple times then on 6th visit has issues with correctly putting needle in left arm so went to the right one and I told them I had a hematoma from them 2 weeks previous. Tap right arm anyways as quarter way through the plasma process blood is coming out of needle and I had to alert them what was going on. They pulled needle out, started taking my vitals not explaining anything. Then another tech said vitals aren't necessary but no one really knew including the nurse who did nothing other than say put ice in it and you have to sit for 30 minutes before you leave. Everyone was clueless how to handle the issue. read more

BioLife Plasma Services - Arm and veins after plasma session at Livonia location on 12-7-2022. - Blood & Plasma Donation Centers Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

My husband and I have been donating plasma at the Hampton St location in AZ for months and a few months ago I told my phlebotomist that my treated arm hurt. she barely looked at me and said that the machine was returning my blood and that everything was fine. I started to feel lightheaded and the pain was going up my neck. another phlebotomist that had been very attentive to me in the past was alarmed and said to another phlebotomist that I had a hematoma . they worked quickly to get the needle out and switch to the other arm to prevent blood loss. my hurt arm started to bruise immediately and when my donation was over I asked to speak with a nurse. a nurse came to me and gave me a couple little frozen ice pouche's and a paper explaining what hematomas are and told me that a hematoma is just another name for a bruise. after that gaslighting, I went home and over the next few days my arm turned black and purple...the whole arm down to my wrist. it hurt so bad that I couldn't sleep at. night and it was difficult to work. I saw my doctor and she prescribed tramadol for pain relief so that I could sleep, wrapped my arm in a bandage and gave me further instructions to relieve my pain and help the hematoma to heal. she also ordered a sonogram to make sure there was no damage to my veins, etc. I went back to BioLife a couple times and they asked me to submit my dr bills and that they would pay for them. they never did. I called a few times and got no help and I still can't go back and donate. I really need those funds to help pay my bills. I highly recommend you never donate your plasma at a BioLife facility due to this. Another reason not to donate would be the wait times...they are horrendous! sometimes lines of 20-30 people. read more

Too many issues with this place, I knew I should have not wasted my time after looking at other reviews. For one, no one ever answers the phone. When you leave a message, no one calls you back. I have left two voicemails two weeks ago concerning two different inquiries I had. No one got back to me. Second, when I came in for my first appointment which included the physical, we were going over RX's. The lady doing the physical seemed off put that I was taking DHEA prescribed by a naturopathic Dr. Her face and demeanor came off very rude, questioning why I was put on it and even asked me if I had cancer? Which was quite insulting. She sent me with a paper to give to my dr to explain why I was prescribed the RX I was taking. That was sent back to them a while ago. No one has got back to me. I missed my opportunity to get the extra bonus money for donating. They think because you get paid to do this they don't have to provide decent human etiquette and return phone calls? No thanks. I'll be going somewhere else. read more

My appointment was at 1:30, it is currently 4:21 and I am still waiting. Do not go here to donate UNLESS you alot a MINIMUM 3 hours just to sit and wait to even be screened. After that expected wait at least another hour or more just to get into a bed. Just a heads up they are not quick or even efficient here. You get a feeling like you are cattle and they do not care at all that you wait 1,2,3,4,5 hours. This is not the first time this happened. Zero compensation for extra wait times even though they know before your appointment it's going to be hours before you get into a bed. read more

This is an apology for the negative review I posted about your services a few years back. Upon reflection, I realize that my words were unfair and did not accurately represent the quality of your company. I failed to consider your hard work and the depths you put into saving people's lives. I let the frustrations of my day get the best of me, and I deeply regret any harm or inconvenience my review may have caused. The staff member who worked with me was very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. I didn't mean to personally direct any negative comment about him. I'm sorry if I did. BioLife is one of the best Plasma clinics around, I've been to a few. If there's any way I can rectify this situation or amend my review, please let me know. Once again, please accept my sincere apologies for the misleading review. I have the utmost respect for the services you provide for our country. read more

they use the plasma to save lives but their too worried about other things that don't matter .... Never had a problem with the donation process itself. My biggest issue is with the wait time. I schedule a 3:30 appointment and I am usually not even seated until around 5. I used to work at a Biolife in Layton UT, so I understand that this is highly unusual for a donation center like this. I asked around and many of the employees state that management will not hire more employees until productivity increases. Am I missing something...? Wouldn't productivity continue to remain low if you are not staffed enough to open more sections in the center? **Avoid this Center** read more

I have been donating at Biolife for approximately a year and a half- over 70 donations. I have begun to notice lately a marked slow down and lack of personnel here at this faculty. Not sure if the reason. I am here today to donate- had a 10am appointment. It is now 11 am and I just now got a seat to begin. There are only four technicians on the floor and two doing preliminary screening. If it weren't for the fact that I am a returning donor and have a special promotion I would not stand in line for the $20 first donation of the week. Disappointing to see everyone standing and waiting. My suggestion would be to make appointments as early in the morning as possible. read more
