I went to Vitalant planning to donate whole blood, but the staff suggested I switch to a plasma…read moredonation because my hemoglobin was "really good." I agreed. After 40min, the machine couldn't draw enough plasma and the technician told me "it's still enough, we can stop here, you've given enough blood." So I left thinking at least part of my donation was collected and would be used. A few days later, I checked my Vitalant account and saw my donation listed as "Unsuccessful Draw." No explanation, no details, nothing. That means the donation was discarded -- yet the staff told me everything was "enough" and "good." This is incredibly confusing and honestly feels misleading. If the product was not usable, then say that. If nothing was collected, then say that. If partial plasma was discarded, then say that. A donor should not have to guess what happened to their own blood. I volunteered my time and my body to help people, and the lack of transparency makes me feel like my effort didn't matter. Vitalant needs major improvements: Clear communication/Transparency: Donors should be told upfront when a donation ends early and whether anything is actually usable. Or even online portal should show more details, what was taken, what was discarded, how much was taken, where is it going, who did i help, some sort of transparency. Accurate donor history: The online portal should show what was collected (blood, plasma, partial amounts) even if it's discarded. Respect for donors' time: It's discouraging to give blood only to learn from the website -- not the staff -- that it was thrown away. I want to support blood donation, but this experience left me confused, disappointed, and feeling like I wasn't told the truth. So, I am not going back to Vitalant for sure but I will still explore more options to help out people.

Then at 4:30 it seems to go down to 2, at times there's only been 1, makes for a very long wait. Once you get checked in you go over to the waiting area to be called. One time there were 3 people called before me that had come after me. When I said something they claimed the time on their ticket was before mine. Not sure how that could be because they hadn't even been checked in yet and I had already been sitting in the waiting area. The website says expect to be there 2 hours for first time but it's really about 4, it's no less than 2 hours for repeat clients. Everyone has been really nice so far.

The really short Native American phlebotomist really cute she's super sweet and very nice, the management team are very nice as well, the Puerto Rican or Dominican phlebotomist that's very light skinned with the dark hair she's nice and sweet as well she always remembers I need something to squeeze before pumping, the black male I think he might e Puerto Rican as well always wearing nice shoes he's very nice also. Those are my top favorites, when doing vitals I gotta give a shot out to a few and unfortunately don't know their names which I need to start doing. The big guy he's super friendly and come to find out we have the same birthday and he calls me up by name, there's the older woman who is super duper sweet and once again I'm sorry I forgot her name but I love when I'm at her booth. Just an all out friendly facility, I use to donate at CSL Plasma and they took away platinum donors getting express passes so and their staff are always either mad or tired. Building/Facility 5/5++ This is a new facility around the corner from Banner Baywood where this Business was previously located. It is a two story building with Physician offices, complete testing facility and surgical Center in one great facility. Type of care 5/5 Annual ECHO performed by Ruthie. Quality of care 5/5++ Ruthie provided great care and service who exemplifies what great patient bedside manners look like. She thoughtfully explained everything. Ruthie is the type of care provider who represents the practice and professional well. Updated After checkout I was waiting for my ride in the upstairs waiting area by the elevator and an elderly gentleman went to a window clearly upset and appeared confused. It was not hard to hear him he projected loudly. The young woman working that window spent time with him using outstanding interpersonal skills to calm him down. He needed extra attention to help address his questions. I witnessed her locating facilities located loser to our location and providing him All the information necessary to address his concerns. This was over the span of 15 minutes. When he left I approached her window to offer a fist bump a tell her she was awesome! That was an amazing display of kindness, empathy I rarely see. The staff here was very kind and helpful I also learned something new that I didn't learn about at MD Anderson so my experience here was a very positive experience and I also got a clean bill of health so I can honestly recommend this facility for mammograms it's a clean facility with an excellent staff.

I have donated here a few times now and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Checking in at the front desk is easy and I haven't had to wait long to go back for my interview. I recommend completing the fast track questionnaire before your appointment to save you time. Interview process is smooth and the phlebotomists have all been great and professional. The center is spacious and clean, with comfy chairs and plenty of snacks to enjoy during and after the donation. I like the canteen/refreshment area and how there is a water refill station, since I always bring my reusable bottle. They also have hydration packets which is a smart offering. I would definitely recommend giving back and donating blood here.

The front desk employee checking people in around 12:45 p.m. on July 21, 2026 (long dark wavy hair, no name tag) was very unprofessional. She came across as passive-aggressive, rude, and on a power trip. She honestly reminded me of the stereotype people have about TSA employees. This is a medical facility where people are dealing with very serious health problems. A little kindness and compassion go a long way. There is a professional way to enforce policies without making patients feel like they're an inconvenience or talking down to them. I've always had good experiences here, which is why this interaction was so disappointing. I hope management addresses it because the front desk is the first impression patients have, and they deserve to be treated with respect. I now prefer the Mesa location over Gilbert, even though I live here. I did have a good experience with Tiffany, the US technician. She was kind, professional & efficient. Erin & Brittany were the techs who took care of me & did my mammogram work. They are super nice, very caring & compassionate, & quite helpful. When I called to make appointments for my kids the people on the phone were great and were quick to…read morecall back and get me in sooner. HOWEVER upon arriving it was obvious the check in lady was new (which is fine as long as there's obvious effort in improving or learning the ropes.) She was extremely slow to check me in, did not make eye contact, was so quiet I could barely hear her (god forbid you're hard of hearing). Did not even check my demographics, which were all wrong and misspelled. I arrived 30 min early to my appointment and ended up not even filling out paperwork or medical release forms which is important when I'm trying to establish a pediatrician for my kids to have continuity of care. The NP was fine. She reassured me my kiddo was okay and let me know what to watch out for. However she finished up and left the room without even checking my baby's belly (she was in for vomiting). She did came back inside to do the physical portion of the exam thank goodness. Overall the visit cost me $230+ for what I felt was subpar medical care. I would not recommend using banner as PCP especially for CHILDREN. They are the most vulnerable of our population and deserve pediatric care that is excellent or at least decent. I will not be coming back and hope they improve their standard of care. In the case of an emergency or a serious illness it does not sit well that the staff cannot even get something as simple as names and date of births correct. I'm sure the doctors are great but if your front desk/ first people you see are incompetent it ruins the overall quality of your practice.
