STAY hydrated! Do it. (Even if you don't "donate" plasma!)

Yeah baby... Back again! Gets meaner and meaner every time Anyways. Second review. I returned yet again and things had been running smooth-ish so I thought to myself "self, I think we were just in a bad mood before because things seem to be running smooth-ish now." And I continued my donating. Coming up on a bonus, this is the weekend I'm supposed to fulfill a couple different ones. They've just told me I'm not eligible to come back until they do a recheck on my blood cuz my protein was low. Doesn't make any damn sense because a couple days ago I was there and they let me donate. So this is just proving my theory that they suddenly cut you off before fulfilling your bonuses. I've been diligent to take my vitamins, drink HELLA water, way my protein, drinking protein shakes, I've made Green smoothies a couple days a week even to keep those numbers up. And then this happened again. SUS!!!! I will say (almost) all the center employees have been nice. Except one girl who pretends people are invisible when they come in. If you sit in her section she'll eventually get you hooked up but don't expect eye contact or ANY words from her other than "tight fist" and then "let us know if you need anything" as she walks away, still never having made eye contact. She gives off those "I despise every person in here" vibes. It's a fun time.

Pretty sure that a bruise that's very visual!!! Lol

I went to Vitalant planning to donate whole blood, but the staff suggested I switch to a plasma…read moredonation because my hemoglobin was "really good." I agreed. After 40min, the machine couldn't draw enough plasma and the technician told me "it's still enough, we can stop here, you've given enough blood." So I left thinking at least part of my donation was collected and would be used. A few days later, I checked my Vitalant account and saw my donation listed as "Unsuccessful Draw." No explanation, no details, nothing. That means the donation was discarded -- yet the staff told me everything was "enough" and "good." This is incredibly confusing and honestly feels misleading. If the product was not usable, then say that. If nothing was collected, then say that. If partial plasma was discarded, then say that. A donor should not have to guess what happened to their own blood. I volunteered my time and my body to help people, and the lack of transparency makes me feel like my effort didn't matter. Vitalant needs major improvements: Clear communication/Transparency: Donors should be told upfront when a donation ends early and whether anything is actually usable. Or even online portal should show more details, what was taken, what was discarded, how much was taken, where is it going, who did i help, some sort of transparency. Accurate donor history: The online portal should show what was collected (blood, plasma, partial amounts) even if it's discarded. Respect for donors' time: It's discouraging to give blood only to learn from the website -- not the staff -- that it was thrown away. I want to support blood donation, but this experience left me confused, disappointed, and feeling like I wasn't told the truth. So, I am not going back to Vitalant for sure but I will still explore more options to help out people.

I was wearing a crop top and was informed of this said dress code after entering Physical so no one in the front told me anything. No one doing my vitals told me anything and continued until the next process until I reach physical and then they had to tell me that they have a dress code and I cannot donate today unless I come back with a full shirt or the next day, which is ridiculous. This should've been told to me at the very front instead of wasting my time knowing that we're gonna deny me and I also implied I didn't want to waste my time in the beginning at the front. There were a lot of uneasy appts, lack of communication and we felt they didn't understand our timeline. We both understand this journey isn't a fast journey but my husband is an active duty military member and he was deploying for 12 mos. We started this journey a little over 1.5 years and the last office was just dragging their feet and we voiced our concerns since he was preparing to leave last December. I went back to my primary care dr on base and they referred us to Dr Craig. His office is a lot farther from us but to be honest it is 100% worth the drive. From the very first appt with dr Craig in person was so easy and he went into great detail of all the test we did that day and wrote out a timeline txt plan. I really appreciated Dr Craig taking his time and sitting in person with me. The last office, I never met the dr in person. I did not like that at all. We asked for a sit down in person and was told those are phone appts. We did not like that. We unfortunately don't have a little baby running around yet but Dr Craig and his office have been so accommodating with our situation and have been very informative. We are hoping this next round of IUI will stick but overall we have really enjoyed our experience with the staff thus far. I highly recommend!

We are so glad that we visited and naturally we are excited to continue our fertility journey there! My wife felt so relieved of stress that she cried as we drove away. It's baby time!!

News flash, everyone has a portal and everything is digital these days. I have the bar codes, and the instructions for the tech to search the system in case they couldn't find the order. She refused to do so. Fine, I get a printed copy and make another appointment. Its only my time and money wasted. The biggest complaint is my mother also had an appointment at the same time. She was suppose to provide urine for a urine test. She is 84 and struggles sometimes with this. They provided her the materials to collect the urine at home and bring it back. We came back the next morning, thinking it was as simple drop off. WRONG. Apparently you need an appointment for everything here. They made her wait 45 minutes before someone came and collected her sample. The front desk was completely unhelpful, not sure what they actually do. Any time you ask them a question, or for help they dismiss you. I couldn't even get a human to answer the phone when I called from the waiting room, as there is a time limit as to how long a sample is viable. We will never come back here.
