Celerion is a pharmaceutical healthy/non study site with studies rolling 365 days a year. There is always going something down. This review is for their Phoenix location, but they also have another location in Lincoln Nebraska. Pros: Pay can be decent, but otherwise demanding Vis a Vis length of stays. Some studies require the whole year. Staff are usually amicable. The facility is spacious and nice. There are general areas situated in the dining hall where you can do a lot of work between procedures if you're moonlighting another job. Participants are usually friendly. Many speak Spanish , so if you speak it, you'll fit in quite well. Cons: usually screening visits encompass two separate days (that might be a week apart) : bloodwork and physical. Very rarely do they occur on the same day, but sometimes they do -- those are the studies you want if you're out of town! Competitive phone call: even if you pass your screening and physical, you still have one more task: to call in at a designated time slot. Call exactly at your designated time and prepare to have multiple phones, so you can have a greater chance of getting through the rush. Many studies require multiple returns which eats away at your time and profit. A lot of blood collections. They generally don't use catheters. Prepare your veins for discomfort and assault. They take in many backups. Such that if you're out of town it becomes not worth it even if you're accepted. In one study they took in a total of 80 participants to keep twenty. Sleeping quarters can shift everyday from bunk beds to the injection site area. You're gonna wanna bring a sleeping mask as in the test site area as there is an emergency light that is always on. Some of the studies you're required to eat everything in your meal. If you cannot, you will be promptly ejected from the study. Food is generally not of the greatest quality even when compared to hospital food (with few exceptions). read more

BANNED AFTER REPORTING BEING TOUCHED -- COVID RISKS, UNFAIR SCRUBS ENFORCEMENT I reported another participant after he touched me without my consent. Management pulled me aside and then banned me, saying there were "multiple complaints" but refusing to provide incident reports or explain what the complaints were. I never threatened, disrespected, or hurt anyone. On top of that, staff placed people who were visibly sick with COVID in our station area (Station 1 by the nurse's station) instead of the upstairs isolation rooms. That blocked access to our bathroom and exposed other participants to sickness -- unhygienic, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Scrubs enforcement was inconsistent (many others were not wearing scrubs and were not disciplined), which felt retaliatory. I request that the site produce the incident reports that justify my ban, explain the complaint details, and outline the appeal process. If you care about participant safety, transparency, and basic hygiene, think twice before volunteering at Celerion. read more

There is almost never any studies in Phoenix. Checking the site for new studies is always a waste of 30 seconds.

This was my first full study I was finally able to complete after 12.5 months here in Arizona! I was very pleased with being here. All the employees were super nice! I liked that most of my 55 blood draws were single tries. The food was very decent and fellow study buddies were pretty cool! Karla and Alexis are very helpful and memorable care team employees! Props to the kitchen and window workers serving all the meals!!! The beds were decently comfortable as it was a 13 night stay. The flow of the daily study patterns went really well. I definitely recommend anyone that is able to do a medical clinical trial here to please check it out and give them a try. Please hit me up if you do, so I can get referral credit as they do give! After 5 studies within 2 years at Celerion, you are able to obtain VIP status which gets you some little extras. Also, you can make good money here! Hope to see this facility again soon and maybe you who read this there too!!! read more

Very Dangerous Infectious Bacteria Virus spreading to all the subjects. Open area so Subjects are constantly coughing choking and blowing their nose by the hours minutes everyday. If you run a fever they only isolate you in Lincoln Nebraska for a few days and let you back to the open area with all the others. You will go in Healthy and leave sick from Viruses within the facility so be ready! If you happen to catch the infectious bacteria virus and have to leave to get Medical treatment They will cut your pay (Compensation) and not reimburse you for the Medical treatment / Antibiotics or any other treatment you needed to try and cure the Bacteria Infection you caught in their facility. Even if you are Negative on Covid but get sick from other Bacteria infections spreading they dont care. ....Is this fair? read more

I've worked with Celerion as a vendor / service provider and watching the character of the staff and the care they show for their participants is impressive. Good and positive attitudes, clean, safe environment. Nice job selecting great people Celerion! read more

Staff here is rude and unfair. Spent about 5 trials here and only met one nice staff member. Hailey was super nice and kind and helpful compared to the other rude phlebotomists. Sadly she's not there anymore and the unorganization of the is place continues read more

Dont waste your time there , the staff in the call center will give you bad information, about actual screening dates , they will fail to mention that they will give you 2 day screening were a coordinator will literally speak for 30 mins and then tell you the doctors visit is the following day. I drove from outta state they didnt mention anything to me about this prior to driving 5 hours there and 5 more back. Celerion was to cheap to pay for the screening visit after all I was going threw. What bothers me the most is after they said they would pay me out they didnt. I discourage volunteers from coming here there cheap. read more

Celerion - Medical Centers Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

After a full day's physical and a half a day test and EKG I was on my way to finally being compensated for a Celerion study. The 4 day study paying $3000 came to an end in their last minute phone call about protein in a blood sample that had already cleared with THEIR doctor of the day before! This wasn't the first time I was dropped from a study at the last minute but it's my LAST! FRAUD! BAIT AND SWITCH! TAKING ADVANTAGE OF MY AGE AND FIXED INCOME! WHAT HAPPENS TO ALL THOSE SAMPLES AND TESTS? I WAS JUST HUNG UP ON WHEN I CALLED TO COMPLAIN! read more

Unqualified, non-medically trained csr call center screeners updating medical records on their database...and giving their untrained medical assumptions of my medical history.. Nice?? . By the way, if you ask them to remove your record from the database because you plam to never sign up (*why would i when im always... disqualified for everything...), do not expect them to respect your medical rights and remove your record!!! I was told "No, you signed to give them permission to keep our medial records on file for as long as they wish to store", WITH whatever THE UNTRAINED CSR updates on it in their database. Imagine the privacy and accuracy of that?? Lawsuit needs to happen! read more

I'm really grateful that I've been able to do studies here. For the most part, the staff I is great. This is a MEDICAL RESEARCH FACILITY, it does not exist to pander to special diets or bored people. There are only a few TVs, and chances of you getting to watch what you really want to watch are pretty slim, so bring books and a laptop. There are also a limited number of computers, for those who don't have their own. The food isn't bad, though if you're in a long study, you'll see the same exact things from week-to-week. There is strict protocol with everything, food included. I guarantee that there are very few, if any, facilities such as this that allow vegetarians or anyone on special diets to participate. There's a reason for this...for one, it's not their responsibility to ensure you get the proper nutrition if you won't eat the food that's been agreed upon between them and the drug companies. Agreeing to eat their food is one of the things that musty be done in order to participate. This isn't The Hilton. It's a research facility. You're not going to be ultra comfortable or get 5, Star food. There's no activities director. You're getting paid to provide a service, and the pay is pretty decent read more

STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY... Upon one of my initial phone calls to inquire about the study for Crone's disease, I informed the representative that I was donating plasma. She assured me that this would NOT be an issue. So, I decided to pursue the study and arranged time off of work to go in for the screening. Bear in mind, this involved not only time off of work but fasting, a blood draw, 3 hours at their facility-answering hundreds of very personal questions, etc. All along the way, I mentioned I was donating plasma. I informed NOT 1, NOT 2, but 3 EMPLOYEES who all indicated it would not be a problem during my screening. I again mentioned this at the medical history portion of the screening-the employee wasn't sure so she went to check and had someone come out and inform me the doctor was unreachable but she was 99.9% sure it was fine. Then the following week, I received a phone call from one of the employees because no one had bothered to take my Social Security card. So, reluctantly I gave her the number over the phone, even offering to drop off the card if needed and again mentioned the plasma. She assured me, this would not present a problem. This week has been hell for me-for the first time ever I had the worst case ever of acid reflux which lasted for days. I desperately wanted to take medicine but resigned not to since I wanted to be sure to qualify for the study. I spent countless sleepless nights suffering-even keeping my husband awake- but I told myself it's all for a good cause to qualify for the study. THE DAY before the competitive call, I receive a voice mail from Celerion to let me know that I will NOT qualify for the study due to the plasma donation. ARE YOU KIDDING ME...5 PEOPLE GAVE ME MISINFORMATION, I TOOK TIME OFF OF WORK, I SUFFERED ACID REFLUX WITHOUT TAKING MEDICINE AND I WAS UPFRONT FROM THE VERY INITIAL CALL THAT I WAS DONATING AND THEY STRUNG ME ALONG THIS ENTIRE TIME! WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME AND ENERGY! THEY MUST HAVE THE WORLD'S WORST TRAINED EMPLOYEES EVER. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! This needs to be addressed at the very top...had I been informed of this from the very beginning then all of this could have been avoided. It really begs the question, if it's worth it to be honest and forthright about your medical history, if their company cannot be honest and forthright with the answer. read more

I travelled from California to attend a healthy study. I was told every step that I qualified to do the study. I was never told not to come back. I showed up on day one of the study. They said I was not on the list. They lied and said they tried to call me several times and was not able to leave a message. I have never had issues with my phone and my voicemail has never been full. I pulled my calling records and no AZ number was on my report. They said they will not compensate me for my travel. Trust me, if I was called or told not to come I would not have rode on a greyhound 8 hours to get to Celerion. I would not participate in their studies because they chose to lie instead of admitting to their mistake. Especially in the medical industry, lying should not be even tolerated. These are people's lives in there hands. read more

I had a 2 1/2 week study back in June and May and forgot to write a review but let me just say the staff was amazing and friendly and my overall stay was comfortable and amazing. I am a mommy of two and it felt like a nice vacation away from them for a little bit. I did a lot of relaxing and sleeping. The staff were all very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. I would love to go again but it seems like it's been a little bit tricky to get back in now. read more

I signed up for one of their clinical trials. I was told I would be their for about 2 hours, but I ended up being there for 4. they asked me about my sexual history(no joke) out loud and in front of other patients, and asked what kind of birth control I would use, and their phlebotomist was grossly impatient, and under-qualified. I wanted to call in to file a complaint, but the extensions to their phone number were all in spanish. Thanks Celerion. read more
