The reviews are misleading... Before my son was born, I went through and read a lot of reviews from…read moredifferent hospitals and was nervous about going to Banner Desert - where my OB delivered. I could not have had a more dramatically different experience than what I saw in the reviews - it's safe to say that the management has heard your concerns! We came in at 9:30pm to a very full labor and delivery floor - cancelled the inductions for the day & a woman had been waiting for a delivery room for 7 hours longer than me... Things were not looking too promising. The nurse in triage, Kristy (I hope I'm spelling that right) moved MOUNTAINS for us. She continuously let us know what was going on on the floor and how my labor was progressing. When there was no delivery room available and the nurses were literally spread to their max, she found a way for us to get to a room to help alleviate my pain and welcome my son into the world. I have never felt more looked after than I did with her. Following that, the postpartum ward was delightful! The team that works in there is extremely respectful and caring. Food wise, pretty good! Not the typical icky hospital food that you hear about! If you get the chocolate chip cookie, put it next to a piece of bread for a little bit and it isn't as dry & oh so much more yummy! I hope & pray that everyone gets to have my experience! Even the OB who was on call... I don't know if I would have remotely the same delivery experience if it wasn't for him & his gentle encouragement throughout - you are the best Dr. Canestraro!

Banner Desert Hospital in Mesa Arizona failed my father in every possible way during what would be…read morethe last weeks of his life. My father was admitted on April 16th 2026 with a confirmed cancer diagnosis that had already been documented in his medical records. He sat in that hospital for five days before a single oncologist walked through his door. Five days. When the oncologist finally came on April 21st it was the first time my father had ever seen an oncologist in his entire life. And it happened on the day they were trying to discharge him. The discharge paperwork they tried to send him home with was factually inaccurate. His CT scan performed right there in that building showed possible pancreatitis, bowel wall thickening, gallstones, aggressive malignant ascites, severely elevated bilirubin of 12.80, and compromised kidney function. None of it was on his discharge papers. They listed cirrhosis and noted he should get a blood test to check for liver cancer. He already had confirmed liver cancer. That is not a clerical error. That is negligence. They tried to discharge my father for three to four days before we even had a chance to arrange proper care elsewhere. When we finally had an appointment at City of Hope they discharged him to a hotel because they refused to transfer him directly to the cancer center the way it should have been done for a critically ill cancer patient. When I advocated for my father and asked questions about his care and his inaccurate discharge paperwork they called security on me. Twice. I was not threatening anyone. I was a daughter fighting for her dying father. That is what they called security for. Nurses Kelsey and Ashley were dismissive, cold, and treated my father without dignity or compassion. They did not do their jobs and their lack of care was witnessed by our entire family. The one exception was nurse Merisol who treated my father with the kindness, warmth, and professionalism that every patient deserves. She was the only bright light in an otherwise disgraceful experience. My father came home after leaving this facility and passed away shortly after. He deserved so much better. Every patient who walks through those doors deserves so much better. If the people running this hospital ever have to admit their own parents here I hope they receive the exact same level of care that my father received. Maybe then they will understand what they put our family through. Do not come here unless you have no other choice. And if you do end up here ask for Merisol and pray she is your nurse. This hospital is under investigation and I am pursuing every legal avenue available to me.

He stated that this was a new policy. Of course, I understand needing to take payment before services but "Haider" raised his tone and spoke to me in an extremely rude and unprofessional way. I kindly asked him to be more polite but he became more aggressive and defensive. He made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. My grandmother recently passed and I have been working 60 hours a week in my healthcare job, and I had gone to acupuncture that day to help with my overall wellness. The manner in which "Haider" handled the interaction made my experience at Sonoran University very unpleasant. I even considered not returning for further acupuncture despite having been a loyal and frequent customer for the last several years. I feel that additional training in terms of customer service should be given to this receptionist; his service was not up to the high standards that I've experienced from other personnel at your establishment.

If you can't face challenges and need all your cases to be easy and straightforward, you're going to fail in the real world. it is not ok to suddenly terminate someone without warning. this is harmful behavior and not client-centered. It's very obvious that they will not consider that folks have other challenges, and any kind of chronic illness is supposed to just disappear. As chronic illness increases in our population, this is a practice to stay away from, unfortunately.

From there it was nearly 12 hours, 2pm Wednesday before she got surgery and after that finally she got admitted to a room. The surgeon was amazing and they removed the gallbladder and she was discharged 1:30pm Thursday making the process all in aprox 48 hours. EMS administered anesthesia on scene, and I arrived already separated from my belongings. After being sedated and moved around the hospital, I woke up around 2:00 AM on April 25 and immediately asked for my phone so I could contact my family. A nurse briefly looked for it, couldn't find it, and chose not to log it as part of my belongings. From that point on, no one took accountability. For the next 48+ hours, I repeatedly asked nurses, doctors, and security for help locating my phone. I was ignored, dismissed, or told nothing could be done. During that entire time, my family and girlfriend had no idea where I was or if I was even alive. My girlfriend ultimately had to contact the police, who pursued a warrant through AT&T to locate my phone. She arrived at the hospital on April 26 bawling her eyes out not knowing if I was dead, alive, shot, killed, etc.. That is unacceptable. They facilitated a traumatic experience for my entire family. Once I had access to a laptop, we tracked the phone ourselves. It had already left the hospital and connected to a nearby residential WiFi network (culd-de-sac). When I triggered alerts asking for it to be returned, it was disposed nearby. Security was ineffective throughout this entire process. They failed to act while the phone was still on hospital property and became defensive when I escalated to actual law enforcement (very sus). At no point did I feel supported, protected, or taken seriously. Every legitimate solution was delayed. Security supervisor blamed me for all of their failures, FRESH OUT OF SURGERY. To be clear: I was a post-surgery patient, medicated and in pain I was unable to contact anyone for 2-3 days I COULD NOT WALK My loved ones believed I could have died My personal property was lost or stolen under hospital care This was not just an inconvenience. It was a traumatic and avoidable failure of basic patient care and security protocol. I checked out early because I no longer felt safe. I expect accountability, and I strongly urge others to be cautious about how personal belongings are handled here. Because my phone was lost while I was under their care, I now have no way to schedule follow-up appointments. What makes this worse is that they are fully aware of the situation, yet continue to rely on the very phone number they know I cannot access instead of contacting me by email. This is not just frustrating, it is negligently inhumane.

ATTENTION DO NOT GO HERE!!!!…read more I called over the phone and spoke with the appointment scheduler about a from I needed filled out for my study abroad stating that I was seen by a travel specialist. I confirmed this information over the phone and was told that this was fine. I show up have the entire appointment only to be told at the end that they could not sign the paper which was the entire point of the appointment. The nurse was very nice and it was not her fault but man this is really fucking disappointing. Especially since I was told directly over the phone that bringing the form was fine. Which is the whole reason I am upset If I just showed up without telling anyone I needed something signed of course that is my fault, but to be lied to and then not even offered a discount for the inconvenience is ridiculous. I was also told over the phone that the appointment was $99 for the consultation and I got an email stated if I did pre-checkin paper work that the consultation would be $25 off discount making my total $75 total. Of course another lie because when I asked about it I was told the consultation was actually $125 which is hilarious so basically the $25 discount is also a scam because they are just gonna add $25 to whatever total you end up having im sure.
