My name is Devon Pina 8/23/2024 12:12PM I was kicked out by the manager, he said staff was complaining. I was uncomfortable around needles and blood extractions. They told me to read a a binder of the consent forms and procedures. in the middle of me reading the manager came to me, and said that I wasn't taking it seriously, and that I needed to leave. Before mentioning the staff complaints about me. I don't blame the manager. He's just making his staff feel safe. But the staff was unsensitive to my situation, and didn't understand me or made the effort to. I realize I'm not normal person I learn differently, I act differently, than normal people. Without my family or friends, I'm a fully functioning member of society. Even with all the setbacks of my personality, I don't drink do drugs or go out. But when I do people just don't like me, so I stay in. I know I could look intimidating being big and dark, but I'm just unsocial. I've been going through this my entire life, so I'm used to this kind of treatment. I'm really not expecting anything to happen. The very least I can do is leave a negative review. read more

I absolutely love the staff here at this location. Nick my phlebotomist is the absolute safest and most genuine individual there. Even my old phlebotomist is had for years Donald was always friendly and so kind in handling our fragile veins. They all treat everyone so well, and always so appreciative of our attendance there and our donations. They don't ever make us feel uncomfortable or judged for donating. I'm glad to have this as a resource and being able to be apart of a greater cause behind makes me happy to do it. Donating plasma isn't for everyone so to be appreciated with bonuses and here and there onsite incentives is also nice. They also kept up with the economic motion of things to with rate increases since I've started, especially now with more and more people choosing to work for themselves it makes a difference in a 35 to 60 daily increase. All in all this location is it since you can only donate at one location at a time so if you find a good one stick to it cause you don't wanna be trying to change. I have been coming here for over a year since March, and I've gotten to know some of the people there, and of the people I've gotten to know, including the people that has to in the initial testing rooms to see if you're good to donate and the people in the back that stick you with the needle, are all very nice and funny. I myself have had a few minor anxiety issues in the past, with passing the blood pressure portion of the test in which case I have been above the highest I can be at and have failed so it has not helped me keep positive mental focus on being able to go back, but that's on me, not on them. But the women that I have tested with regularly, work with me on my anxiety issues which I think is very cold and very much appreciated and they're all funny and I've had conversations with all of them, and the people in the back have awesome senses of humor as well and are very cool, and are very nice and cordial when sticking you, and they change their gloves out for every new person that they work with, they make sure all the accessories that are used when donating are in good enough condition and they check to make sure everything is going to go OK. I did yes, have a bad stick ones from someone that was relatively new there, and in doing so, they had to take it out of my right arm which is the arm or use most often, and had to stick me in the left and because I accepted doing that, I still got for pay for going through that day, but because my left arm is not as applicable to stick as my right arm, I ended up having an ice pack but on both arms and having some incidental swelling go down, but I don't necessarily pin that on them, and I do not define it as being a bad place by one bad situation, that's just immature. I continue to go back, and that one new person that stopped me from my previous story above, I let do it to me a second time because I thought he deserves a second chance and everything went fine and it was OK afterwards. I'm sure the wait times that some people complain about, or understandable and the time you have to wait, but I'm sure they have a system they have to go by to make sure when people are OK to move forward with the process and that the people that complain about the wait time are either inpatient or don't understand that I'm sure everyplace has some kind of process to make sure people get in when they can and when it's available. I don't usually give five stars to most things because five stars in my mind is perfect, and as corny as it sounds, I don't believe in perfection, but I think some of the reviews of this place because I go there, are kind of bull crap and probably put up by some impatient and immature people, so I'm writing it as good as I believe it gets. And despite how big this review is, I consider it a pretty thorough one talking about how I like this place and why, and sharing some hopeful common sense laid on the bad reviews, because I don't think it's as bad as they think it is. read more

From start to finish the process was about 4hrs because I was a new donor. It was so seamless I didn't even realize I had been there that long. Steve the RN got me right in when I got there and was super nice and made sure I knew everything that was going on and what to expect. The phlebotomist I don't remember her name but she was great! Light touch and got me with 1 stick. It's freezing so I'll remember to bring a jacket the next time but the whole staff was amazing and it was a great experience. read more

Wasn't paid the correct amount following my 8th donation. Should have been $75. Received only $45. Called and left a phone message but after four days they've not returned my call nor paid me the remaining $30 they owe me. UPDATE: Called again this morning and it was immediately resolved. They even added another $5 for the inconvenience. Evidently, there is a glitch in the reporting system and it occasionally applies the wrong amount. But, they took care of it. read more

I called Biomat in advance asking management if I'm there by 1:30pm will I be seen as a new donor. They clearly assured me that I'll be seen. I was there before 1:30pm. By 1:45pm when they got my transfer they had the nerve to tell me this is a 3-4 hour process and for me to come back tomorrow. lol I was heated since I left my house at 12pm to get there by 1:30pm and be told come back next day. I didn't get home till 4:30pm. I was exhausted and could've spent my Sunday doing something else like spending with family or just returning to BPL. I was in shock and so mad. I made sure to tell the staff that were very unprofessional, not friendly and very inconsiderate of me. I of course went there to get paid $50 but at 1:45 with already having my stuff on file there is no reason why I couldn't been out by 5ish. I never ever ever been turn down before over this nonsense. Any other plasma center I ever been to for returning donors as long as you are there before close time you will be seen knowing that it could be up to 2 hrs after close time. Biomat staff showed extreme unprofessionalism and very unpassionate about helping save the lives of others thru plasma donations. There was literally 6 people tops in the lobby area. I've been thru new donor process and it definitely shouldn't taken more 3 hours. They had more unhelpful staff than patients. Biomat was dead and now I definitely understand why. I was planning on going to BIOLIFE today but they didn't have any slots available. BIOLIFE along with BPL IS FRIENDLY AND CONSIDERATE OF THEIR PATIENTS UNLIKE THIS UNPROFESSIONAL,UNFRIENDLY AND INCONSIDERATE CRAP PLACE. Ive been donating at different plasma centers for well over 5years in 3 different states and this has been one of my top 2 worst experiences ever. Last time I donated at a Grifols center was in 2017 and I wish I would've never went today. Also of course I wish I would've been more wiser and lean towards a very reliable source being yelp to help me make a wise choice of not going to this center but stupid me I didn't do that. I called and talk to management being firm of my eta and let me remind you one last time that I was clearly assured that as long as I'm there by 1:30pm I'll be seen as a new donor. Referring to yelp again biomat center has2.5 star review with now only 14 reviews. How long have they been in business for now? 14 reviews with 2.5 star rating is very horrible rating. After pointing this out I hope Grifols corporation will be more professional and consider what this center doing wrong and not right. My goal with writing this epic review is that it gets the attention that it deserves and Grifols Corporation take ownership to teach this center professionalism and how to run company that worth bragging about. I hope this company truly grows and develop high company standards when saving lives. When i went the lady had an attitude she asked me to fill out my personal info and tatoos and read information out of a binder told her i was finished she insisted i wasnt done 5 min later i say im done again then.. she says i have to be the first 10 new donors all slots were already filled but i can reschedule for two hours later or come back tommorow and be automatically on the list.. Instead of waiting i decided to go back the next day 9 min after they open i arrive and she says the same thing waiste of time have not been back since. read more

This place is so unprofessional. Nobody knows how to stick you properly, every time I go they bruise my arm or they're so rough it hurts the entire donation time. On top of this I called to make an appt and the lady who picked up was extremely rude and told me that I'm supposed to make appointments online but I didn't have my login info so she proceeded to schedule my appointment over the phone but she did it with the worst attitude and then I get to the place and they deny me bc they said I NEVER MADE AN APPOINTMENT. read more

Terrible experience, Staff is very rude they make you feel like trash. I asked the lady at the front desk for a water bottle since they had at least 2 full cases that I could see. She refused and said NO. I froze and didn't know what to do. I was like did this really just happen ? did you just refuse water to someone when you have 2 cases and we live in Arizona and on top of that it is the summer months ? I have donated plasma for years and never had a problem with the initial screening process. I don't know if all plasma centers have done this, but this center "upgraded" there blood pressure and heart rate monitors, and now I get rejected all the time because it picks up an irregular heart beat. I had to go see a doctor to get an EKG to prove that I don't have an irregular heart beat, and even after I turned in that report from the doctor, I still get turned away all the time because of that stupid machine. The medical staff on hand always come and check my pulse the first time it throws up the alert, and they always say "I don't notice anything, but we still have to turn you away if you get 3 errors" which usually happens. This faulty machinery has wasted so much of my time. I'm done donating plasma until I either find a new center with better tools, or this center swaps out their broken monitors. read more

It's been a year since I donated and I had to go through all the paper work again. So I schedule for Wednesday, I get there. And I'm really hot. Because it's Phoenix. I fill out paper work for an hour in the building which is pretty warm. And they check my temperature and it's 0.4 over. (I ran errands after this and I was much hotter and I check my temp when I get home and I'm in the 97 area). They send me away and say when I come back I have to redo all the paperwork. I try to schedule for Sunday and they say I can only schedule the day before or the day of. Which is so ridiculous! I call Saturday morning and ask for an appointment tomorrow and the lady says they're booked. But she can make me an appointment for Monday! That's TWO days away! The lady before said day of or day before only. This had never happened when we could just walk in. The appointments is the WHOLE reason I stopped going in the first place. And I try to go back and it's WORSE than I remember! I might just go somewhere different at this point. Update: Yesterday they told me I could call today to schedule for Wednesday. When I called the lady who answered said I can ONLY schedule day of. This place is so inconsistent. I'm so close to going somewhere else. I get told "day before or day of" then I get told "up to two days out" and then I get told "up to three days out" and now it's "day of only". And if I call day of or day before they don't have appointments for new patients. And when they do, which seems rare, it's in the middle of the day. The middle of the day (4pm) is the busiest time for a lot of people. I've tried to schedule 5 times. I use the number the business manager gave me to talk about the problem. And I'm on hold for 30 minutes before I hung up. I'm really really not a complaining person. But I've tried really hard to make an appointment and every time I do what someone says "day before, three days ahead, day of" it blows up in my face and it's really frustrating. When I called the lady today she said I can only do it day of because people keep not showing up, and they're losing out on getting others in. Like, you're losing out on new people trying to get in. Why not just make people who consistently don't show up schedule day of. Not everyone else. Am I supposed to sit on my butt on Wednesday and wrap my whole schedule around this place, just to call on Wednesday saying they are booked. Again. That makes no sense. And this help line says "be with you momentarily". Like what's momentarily? An hour? I waited thirty minutes. This place really just wants to waste peoples time. I quit going a year ago because of this scheduling mess and before that I'd go every week twice a week. I loved going. But they really just don't seem to want to keep their donators or get more donators. It's a mess. The employees all have a different time to call and it's frustrating. I'm trying really hard to stick with this place. But if I call one more time, when they tell me to, and I get told "oh we're booked for new patients. You should have called earlier" then I'm done with this donation site. I've done everything I could even though they don't seem to have their stuff together. read more

This place is beyond terrible I had made and appointment the day before coming I drank lots of water . Eat a good meal before coming . And than it's my turn and this dumb ass bitch wants to tell me my vans are low . When no they were not I am a CNA nurse in training and we check patient vitals. Everyday I know Mine where fine . I had been here since 7 and it's 1 so you can just imagine how pissed off i am this is the most worst customer service ever . They are dirty unsanitary don't wear gloves when coming to get you ready they are just terrible. read more

MONEY WAS STOLEN FROM ME. On July 31 , 2019 I donated and walked away with my paycard. More then $60 in my account. So on Sat, Aug 3 i went to withdraw my money from account at an atm. My card wouldnt register. I called the pay card hotline. The pay card manager said my card was cancelled and recreated by Biomat Usa on July 31. That card was used at a near by gas station. So my pay was issued to a new card without my consent. So thier employees are embezzling money out of their donor accounts. I donated but I have no money. So Biomat Usa has earned its one star. Very careless with crimes being committed with security guards in the house. Biomat anything you say about this is inexcusable because the crime of fraud is being done in your own house with your clients. read more

I give only 4 stars bc everyone gets 5 stars from me except PAIGE, she gets 0 stars from me!! If you go donate, request someone else if Paige is helping you. For starters the very first time I went she stuck me and did a horrible job! I got an infiltrate and blood was filling up under my skin and I was freaking out bc I had never donated before. She says to me in the biggest attitude ever, ugh your fine!! Her attitude is absolutely horrendous! So yesterday I was in there and I get placed in her section, so I asked if someone else could stick me and she goes no I am your only option and hits the bed for me to sit down, I said no I need someone else and so she just looked at me and walked away. While I'm donating, I hear her complaining to all of the donators about how much she hates her job and if she could quit today she would and she has been over this job for 3 months. If she feels this way, I then feel she should quit bc she is sticking people who might be uneasy with needles and she has a horrible attitude! She is the worst employee that works there and seriously needs to be fired!! read more

Beware! yea these places are clean and the staff is friendly...but so is the devil...he makes himself seem like hes just looking out for you too. the problems you will experience when its time to get your money are exasperating...if you go down this road make sure you get very specific details on what you will get paid...DO NOT take the employees word for what you will be paid. they WILL NOT honor it if an employee tells you something wrong. ive even called ahead and was paid less than what i was told more than once. and when i complained they have an 'oh well' attitude about it. this is a business people...they are in this thing to make money...and some donors actually believe that these people care about them??? cmon you guys...if your truly interested in just saving lives then donate for free at a red cross. ask a neighbor to do yard work for 30 bucks. these people are getting anywhere from 300 to 1700 per bottle...do the research...and you really believe they are doing you some huge favor kicking down 50 bucks to you? any business minded person would tell you youre getting ripped off. the risk doesnt equal the reward at all...but hey its your body your life...if your that desperate for 50 bucks its time to make some changes in your life. read more

When i started coming in and donating the staff was courteous and efficient, recently however they do not seem to care about the donor. Making appointment doesnt have any bearing on whrb they will get you back or even start the process. I just had a 6:30 appointment arrived at 6:21, sat there while all but one of the people up front watched the NBA playoffs. 48 minutes later i was called back and the woman taking the vitals was rude and treated me like i was wasting her time because at this point they arent supposed to be taking donors for the day. My pulse was slightly fast because i was irritated from the needless waiting and her dismissive comments so she informed me that they were no longer doing retakes on vitals. I wish i could say this was an isolated incident but sadly its happened 3 times in the last 6 weeks. Your time doesn't matter to them in the slightest. All that said all of the people who work the machines and set you up once you get in the back are great and ive never had any issues with them. I jusr wish the step before that one wasnt full of lazy, impolite and unprofessional people. If your looking for a center to donate i suggest you consider another facility, i know i will not be returning. read more
