For first time patient the waiting is a nightmare! I waited over 2 hours for paper work and 2+ hours to get checked. That's is CRAZZZYYYYY!!!! No to brag but manager need be more knowledgeable about statistics specifically queuing so they get a better idea of the people their working with and how long their making them wait, SPECIALLY for first time patient, it leave a bad impression. They have people waiting all day in this office while there are working just standing around doing nothing literally pacing back and forth. I wish I could give this place 0 starts. A waste of time. I did the two hour intake process and donated, that went smoothly. But when I tried to donate for a second time I waited 20 min before asking the front desk if I was going to be called back soon. I was told it would be another 15-20 min before I was called back and that's not for the donation that's for the screening. I rescheduled my appointment and the exact same thing happened after waiting 30 min. There is no communication about the delay, you are just sitting in this waiting room watching the time pass thinking about all the things you could be doing besides starting at the dirty floor. Either shut down until you get enough staff to handle your appointments or communicate with your donors that there is a delay. Extremely unprofessional. Will not be returning. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

So I went and sold plasma today. They pay you to help you lose weight, that's how I'm looking at it. Shut up. Anyway, the first time you go plan on being there at LEAST 4 hours. Eat something a few hours before you go, then again, literally JUST BEFORE you go! You'll be waiting a while before they prick you to check your levels, so you'll stabilize, but won't be starving by the time they start pulling your fluids out. The process is relatively painless. The waiting area feels more like a county hospital, but they did have movies playing. They CLAIM to have free wifi, and though I could connect, it wasn't getting me onto the 'net. If you go, get all your calling and voicemails done before you go back to get sucked; no phone use! (They kind of look the other way for texting, but if it's up to your head, you'll get talked to) Also, drink LOTS OF WATER before you go; you'll need to be well hydrated, as it will increase your chances of passing the screening, and will speed up the actual delivery of plasma. Plus, you have to pee in a cup. I recommend making an appointment for your first visit. Bring a book, or a well charged phone or tablet, and plan on doing a lot of nothing. read more

I have been waiting for about an hour to get the actual process of getting my plasma taken that's not including the wait time in the front I guess I need a medical approval on my chart for what they have no idea I am getting really upset because I have a 6mo at home who needs me I understand it takes time to get things done but this is ridiculous and do I get anything like a VIP pass or anything for it takeing a ridiculous amount of time nope all I get is I'm sorry although Frankie the girl who's working with me is super nice about it and keeps apologizing it just sucks to have to wait this looooong ugh so over it So I felt like I needed to update my review although the problem hasn't been resolved yet the staff as in the managers have been super cool about everything Steve in particular has been really cool to work with. they have compensated me for my gas given VIP cards and everything! My only complaint that I would still have is the fact that their system doesn't show that my account is still "not good "there and so I have to come all the way down there just to be turned away however when I am turned away they have given me "gas money" or something like the VIP cards so all in all they are doing the best they can! read more

Been turned away because my mailing address didn't match the address on my ID. They claimed I was dehydrated but I've been drinking water all weekend and am basically peeing water, that's how clear my urine is. Makes me believe that they don't know what they're doing. Don't apply to work here... I arrived to my interview 15 minutes early like I usually do to walk in and see a man and women who looked like they just woke up . I mean the area is rough I get it but what was funny is before they even started the interview I noticed the guy already had pictures drawn all over my resume ..... very unfocused interview . Soooooo I used to donate pretty regularly in college, but it's been a while (let's say 2 years so I don't age myself too much). Anyhoo, I really wanted to try to start donating again. While research is mixed as to whether or not it has any health benefits, there is one thing we know for sure: It won't hurt you. I called to make a first time donor appointment. Apparently they don't take appointments....it's first come first serve. She suggested I come in any day of the week by 0650 to secure one of the first spots. No problem I guess. I set my alarm, downed a bottle of water, grabbed a protein bar and I was on my way! Got there at 0645, thinking I would be one of the first ones. Boy was I wrong. The waiting room was already more than half full. I stood in the one and only line, signed my name and took a seat. Twenty five minutes later they called me. Yay! Not so much. I was told I signed the wrong sign in sheet. I had to resign on the "new donor" sheet instead. Fine. Done. She made it sound like they would call me next since I had already been waiting for a while and no one was around while I was in line to offer assistance. So I waited. For another 40 minutes. Nothing happened. Apparently I got moved back to the bottom of the entire list. So I just left. Oh and the gentleman next to me told me that he was in the day before. After waiting for two hours, they informed him they didn't have time to take him and told him to come back another day. So there he was again. Seems like a pretty unorganized system. I'm still interested in donating, but I'll look for a place where I can make an appointment and not have to spend an entire day. read more

Been here a few times with very widely mixed results. My most recent visit involved me watching one of the donation room workers take a pair of scissors and bash the handle end into a sensor to try and get it to work, This happened at least 4-5 more times with yet another worker coming to hit the sensor on the machine. Meanwhile, here I am hooked up to it the entire time becoming increasingly nervous with a needle in my arm that these workers are literally banging this machine. Been able to donate twice and after that I kept being deferred for the most stupidest crap.

Very very slow staff at times. Other places hook up people fast so they are out fast. Here they will leave you in the lobby forever than have you on the bed waiting up to 40 minutes while many free workers walk by and chat about their day. My first donation took 6 hours and i was in the doors at 8am. Than the next week they higher the prices but kept me on the old lower price. Overall very slow workers with no urgency in their work and can barely help with a question. Ill ask something i know and they will explain it half assed and not accurate. Ive been donating for 6years at various places but this place is the worst at speed and help. read more

Okay I would like to start out by saying by donating Plasma you may possibly be saving someone else's life. In that note, this place isn't in the greatest area of town but the building itself and staff they have working there are really good. If you're a first time donor expect to be there for approximately 5 hours; this is do to the screening and physical you are required to do before actually making a donation. So be sure to get there early, they currently open at 7am 7days a week besides one Wednesday a month when they hold their staff meetings they open at 930. They don't require appointments and will accept a return donor up to 5 minutes before closing time (6pm on weekdays and 4pm on weekends). When you return after your first donation the entire process generally will take about 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours depending on how busy they are when you arrive. Another benefit about donating is that they will actually pay you for each donation you make. You are able to make 2 donations a week as long as you wait at least a day between donations. For you're first 5 donations as a new donor you will receive 50 dollars per donation ( an opportunity to earn an extra 250 bucks in 2 2/1 week is nice). After your first 5 donations you will be compensated 20 dollars for your first donation of the week and 35 for your second. On top of that they do monthly bonuses after your 6th donation of the month. The staff adds more incentives by doing weekly drawling for prizes such as gift cards, kindles, beats by Dre head phones and other nice items. To be interred into these drawling you just have to donate twice in one week. They also have special event on certain days of the month, examples are cookie days, bingo and BBQs. The staff here are very friendly and generally pretty helpful if you have and issues or concerns. All the equipment used is opened new right in front of you as they set you up for the donation, you'll never have to worry if the equipment was properly cleaned. During the entire process they have TV's playing movies, sports or tv shows and also provide free wifi for everyone's entertainment. After each donation power aid will also be provided to rehydrate you. So drink plenty of water the night before and day of along with a meal high in protein at least 4hours before donating to help speed up the process. This is information that is nice to know, (most is available other places) FIRST TIME 1) Expect to be there 4 to 6 hrs. 2) Be at door as close to opening as possable. 3) Eat before going and drink water (24 - 32 oz min) 4) if you take aspirin, max 320mg within 12 hrs (some uncertainty on time, could be less or more, I spelt the difference) 6) bring 2 ID with address or proof of addresses. EATING ! Food will affect your blood. Minimum 24 hours pre-plasma/blood giving: Do not eat the goodys we all love, sweets, high fatty foods (anything fried), high Cholesterol forming foods. Foods you should eat are vegetables, legumes such as lentils (high in proten), dried beans, grains such as oats, (grits is corn). Fruits & Avocados eat in moderation. ( sugars in fruit, fat in Avocados.) Vegetables such as Kale is high in Vitamin K, this thickens the blood along with being very, very healthy for you. My normal diet is high in these foods, therefor I usually 1/2 an Aspirin and several cups of water before blood tests. These are foods high in Vit. K: Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, White cabbage, Cauliflower, Swiss chard, Chives, Collard greens, Cilantro, Endive, Kale, Leek, Bibb lettuce, Red leaf lettuce, Green onion, Parsley, Spinach, Turnip greens, Watercress Moderation is the key. Coffee, Tea, and Soft drinks with caffeine are dehydrating and narrows the blood vesicles. Carbonated drinks are also a no, no, the carbonation blocks calcium from your body therefore your blood. Calcium has many jobs. Just do not drink any of the above. There are fats that are actually good for you, but to be safe be moderate in the good fats, no bad fats. A personal note on eggs: production eggs you buy in the store are not the same egg that was sold 75 years ago. Just as with us chickens eggs gets there nutrition from what goes into the chicken along with its emotional state. No sun, high stress gives you a fatty, high cholesterol egg among other things that missing. Free range, natural foraging, cage free, carnivore chicken eggs have: * 1/3 less cholesterol * 1/4 less saturated fat * 2/3 more vitamin A * 2 times more omega- 3 fatty acids * 3 times more vitamin E * up to 7 times more beta carotene. (With special diet Omega-3 fatty acids can be much higher) The eggs sold as higher in Omega-3 is do to diet and are more expensive to produce, a bargain. VEGETARIAN EGGS are a RIP-OFF, they have the lest good nutrition. The vegetable proteins in soy is toxic to chickens, therefore has to be possessed to be non-toxic, but the chicken still can not digest soy protein properly, it is the same as giving dairy to someone that is lactose-intolerant, meds make it so they do not get sick, but they still can not use the nutrition in the dairy. The must have bug, fish, or animal protein, it is the same as making a cat a vegetarian ...... That is the same with a chicken. I wasn't able expecting to be treated so well here. I just thought it was going to be some phlebotomist who doesn't know how to handle my rolling veins but I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was very concerned with your comfort and making sure you didn't end up sick because you didn't drink enough liquids. The waiting at this facility is unreal. I have donated several times and it seems like the wait time has doubled. I use to reserve about 2 hours of time to donate, each time I went. It's is closer to 4 hrs now. They have no sense of urgency. Their workers will stand around and chat. Several screeners stop to chat and even lean on the counter to talk to the other screeners. I understand that they are under staffed but it's beyond me that they do not move faster. Even the phelbs will walk slow from place to place stop and talk... It's crazy. I don't understand why they allow this behavior to continue. It's sad that they are okay with that kind of customer service. The people who work here even seem to hate their job. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It's not worth the little money you get for the time it takes. read more

We went there 9 years ago and were deferred because we had just moved to the Valley and were living in a studio. They stated that we didn't have a 'real' address (?) We were renting a studio down the street and wanted to take our time to get to know the area. We bought a house a few months later. Fast forward NINE YEARS LATER. We try to donate again and are deferred AGAIN because of the past issue. Even though we have our home address on our AZ driver's license, they demanded that we provide 2 pieces of mail no older than 7 days old. Fine. Came back 2 days later at 6:30 am and they were having a 'monthly meeting' and would not be open until 9 am. ( REALLY ???? How is it that other Plasma Centers are able to function just fine by having their meetings AFTER closing ???) Then today we tried on last time. We are told that they have no other 'appointments' available !!! It was 7:05 in the morning !!! CSL may not pay as much but they are FAR more professional, not nearly as disorganized, MUCH cleaner, and have a better trained staff. Okay!! I went to this place, because I was a donate at the place in Tempe which was a great experience. So I needed a little cash and I recently moved to Phoenix. I look them up and they were the closes to my apartment. At first it wasn't bad, but I do have to say that they suck at sticking people. I went to Tempe locate for 3 years of and on and the employees really try not to hurt you. But these people don't care at all. And this isn't the real reason that I stop going. I had been there are about four time and on the fifth time I was told in the booth that I had to take off my sweatshirt and inform the girl I all I has underneath was t shirt, and that I had worn the sweatshirt all the time and never had been ask to take if off before. I thought it was over in the booth. But apparently I was wrong she told her supervisor that I refuse to take it off and also that I didn't want to roll up my sleeve. Which didn't happen and then I let the supervisor that she took my blood pressure with me standing which was why i really an attitude because she didn't pay attention to me and didn't fix the chair. And when supervisor took me in the office to acute me instead of asking because that new girl was just not that bright if you ask me because if I was rude and if she really had a problem why didn't just call him in when she thought I wasn't listen to her. Honestly this is not a good review. This biomat is the worse biomat in all of Arizona. This location has super disrespectful representatives. Them being rude is not the only this ive donated there and they forgot to do procedure, and poked me without doing it the correct way. Almost messed up my arm. No sorry just try'd to blame it on me. Trust me this is not a location that you want to go to with your plasma. If you do have doubts just ask someone who donated there if they like that location 9 times out of 10 they will say they do not donated there. read more
