First off at check in I was caught off guard with the payment upfront and made me feel like an idiot. I did receive a text letting me know that a payment would be required but no actual amount, hence not prepared to pay several hundred dollars. The front desk person kept on repeating - well, you were sent a text and it was opened. Yes the text came through but again not even an estimate amount. So I was prepared to pay the average copay. Second - when I was called for my imaging, I was being questioned over and over as to why was I getting those images. Listen I'm a patient and my doctor ordered what she ordered because She felt that was importante to get looked at. I'm a patient not the medical professional. if they have issues with my imaging order then contact my doctor. I pay a lot of money every month for private insurance so just complete my medical doctor's order and don't make me feel awful for being there.

The Technician during this visit gets my Kudos for working with me and my Phobia! Office environment 5/5 Clean, organized, well run! Scheduling 0/5 They fell well short of good patient care. The scheduling folks are not located at any of the MRI locations. They are in some centralized office who are in need of training. First error sent me to a 2D machine and was not what my doctor ordered. They canceled and rescheduled me a week out. Then several more locations the last in this review was the correct one. After I posted this review I received a request to complete their survey. I've been a customer for years for more common services like X-rays but never a survey. The power of Yelp reviews. My review is going to encompass the experience I had with SimonMed as a whole, which was less than…read moreacceptable. My gastroenterologist scheduled a CT scan with and without contrast, with oral contrast as well. Joy! I hate having CT scans done because of the dye...and the oral contrast always upsets my stomach. They put sorbitol in that stuff and I have a sensitivity to sugar alcohols. Anyway, when I scheduled the appointment, they told me to arrive 15-minutes before my appointment, bring my insurance card and ID and to drink 32oz of water within one hour of the procedure. I received a confirmation phone call the night before the procedure once again informing me to arrive 15 min. prior to the scheduled appointment time. Also, when I scheduled the appointment, the agent I spoke with created a new SimonMed account for me instead of using my existing one. My existing account is under an old email address and because the lady set up a new account with my new email address, it won't let me change the email address on the old account. It also won't let me log into the new account. I called and no one seems to know how to fix this. One agent told me that they sent a request to have the accounts merged, however that never happened. Super frustrating! When I arrived at the facility, the lady behind the counter said, "Were you aware that you needed to be here one hour before your scheduled appointment time?" I explained that the scheduling department (based in India) told me numerous times that it was 15 min. Then, she said the CT scan was going to be over $470. I had called my insurance company prior to the appointment and my insurance company said it was going to be $160-$170. I explained this and the assistant said she'd resubmit it to see. After about 10 min. the bill was somehow reduced to $169 but then they charge a 3% credit card fee, which I found to be ridiculous for a medical facility to do this. As far as the care quality goes, it was just ok. The technician was super nice but she missed my vein when doing my IV and then dug around for a little while with no success...then she restuck me in almost the same spot, which was a little on the painful side. I hope this is the last time I have to have a CT scan and the last time I have to deal with SimonMed. The quality of service regarding scheduling has really gone down hill and the insurance billing seems to be a big question mark. Why was I going to be charged over $400 at first? If I didn't question it, I would've been on the hook for this. I bet they would've never sent the claim knowing they over charged and would've kept my money.

She read me the prep instructions: light food, no ejaculation. only water, that was it. I later decided to change locations. The second appointment setter read me the exact same prep: light food, no ejaculation only water. That was it. Again, no mention whatsoever of a Fleet enema. He scheduled me at the Dobson 1 location. 10am I arrived for my appointment and waited at the front desk for ten minutes with no one present. When someone finally showed up, I completed the paperwork. The MRI tech came out and took me to the locker room. She asked if I had done the enema. I told her no--because no one had ever mentioned it. She said they couldn't do the MRI without it. No apology. Nothing. She simply rescheduled me for the next day, 5pm Hour before the new appointment, I received a text reminder: "It's almost time for your appointment at SimonMed at Dobson Village." I arrived to find two workers--one being the same MRI tech from the day before--and someone in a patient gown behind the desk. They were all laughing and joking around. As soon as the MRI tech saw me walk in, (we made eye contact) she ran to the back like a child. The receptionist then told me they couldn't do my MRI because they had "no electric connection to a doctor," which apparently is required in case of an emergency. She even smirked while saying it. Why on earth did no one call me to cancel this appointment? Why make me come in? Why send me a reminder text for an appointment they already knew couldn't perform? I planned my entire day around this appointment--a day I will never get back. And as a senior citizen I realize the true colors of these workers this office and this company, no empathy no respect for the elderly nor their patients. This was total disrespect toward a patient. SimonMed should compensate me for my time and enema kit. The office manager should be ashamed and counseled as for staff no second chances.

She came across as passive-aggressive, rude, and on a power trip. She honestly reminded me of the stereotype people have about TSA employees. This is a medical facility where people are dealing with very serious health problems. A little kindness and compassion go a long way. There is a professional way to enforce policies without making patients feel like they're an inconvenience or talking down to them. I've always had good experiences here, which is why this interaction was so disappointing. I hope management addresses it because the front desk is the first impression patients have, and they deserve to be treated with respect. The other issue is that I asked them to print out the films on a cd and mail it to my neurosurgeons office in Phoenix! Not only did the surgeon never receive it, but when I called advanced to see if they sent it out, they said there was no date indicating when it was sent, just says "mailed." Now I know usps has been slow, but it doesn't take 15 days to mail a cd from Mesa to Phoenix! THIS OFFICE IS COMPLETELY INEPT AT ANYTHING. There are plenty other radiographic places to go; why settle for an office that just doesn't care. Definitely will never be going back there.

After getting checked in for a possible broken elbow, vitals were taken and MD examined. We were told the xray tech was in with someone and we would be next. We sat there for over an hour (I can't imagine one set of X-rays took an hour). X-rays were finally taken in less than 5 mins. Then after sitting another 30 mins, I asked how long it would be until someone could look at the xray. I was told "this is the part that takes a while" and that I "was lucky they were still on the day schedule because the night time wait time can be up to 4 hours." We waited about 20-30 mins then asked again how long it would be. They couldn't give me a TAT so we got up and left. We were there for over 2.5 hours to have 3 X-rays taken. And who knows how much longer it would have taken to have someone read the X-rays. I don't believe there were a large number of patients there at the time. The parking lot only had a few cars, waiting room was empty and the nurses desk outside the exam room had the same nurses/techs/MDs sitting there our entire wait. Their website says little to no wait. How healthcare should be. That was not my experience at all.
