8/8/25 Type of care Special 3D hi-res MRI. This is my third Simon location in the last 10 days. Not fun for us with claustrophobia but it's finally over! Quality of care 5/5 Each of the three facilities front desk employees and MRI Specialists were fantastic, warm welcomes and helpful. The Technician during this visit gets my Kudos for working with me and my Phobia! Office environment 5/5 Clean, organized, well run! Scheduling 0/5 They fell well short of good patient care. The scheduling folks are not located at any of the MRI locations. They are in some centralized office who are in need of training. First error sent me to a 2D machine and was not what my doctor ordered. They canceled and rescheduled me a week out. Then several more locations the last in this review was the correct one. After I posted this review I received a request to complete their survey. I've been a customer for years for more common services like X-rays but never a survey. The power of Yelp reviews. My review is going to encompass the experience I had with SimonMed as a whole, which was less than acceptable. My gastroenterologist scheduled a CT scan with and without contrast, with oral contrast as well. Joy! I hate having CT scans done because of the dye...and the oral contrast always upsets my stomach. They put sorbitol in that stuff and I have a sensitivity to sugar alcohols. Anyway, when I scheduled the appointment, they told me to arrive 15-minutes before my appointment, bring my insurance card and ID and to drink 32oz of water within one hour of the procedure. I received a confirmation phone call the night before the procedure once again informing me to arrive 15 min. prior to the scheduled appointment time. Also, when I scheduled the appointment, the agent I spoke with created a new SimonMed account for me instead of using my existing one. My existing account is under an old email address and because the lady set up a new account with my new email address, it won't let me change the email address on the old account. It also won't let me log into the new account. I called and no one seems to know how to fix this. One agent told me that they sent a request to have the accounts merged, however that never happened. Super frustrating! When I arrived at the facility, the lady behind the counter said, "Were you aware that you needed to be here one hour before your scheduled appointment time?" I explained that the scheduling department (based in India) told me numerous times that it was 15 min. Then, she said the CT scan was going to be over $470. I had called my insurance company prior to the appointment and my insurance company said it was going to be $160-$170. I explained this and the assistant said she'd resubmit it to see. After about 10 min. the bill was somehow reduced to $169 but then they charge a 3% credit card fee, which I found to be ridiculous for a medical facility to do this. As far as the care quality goes, it was just ok. The technician was super nice but she missed my vein when doing my IV and then dug around for a little while with no success...then she restuck me in almost the same spot, which was a little on the painful side. I hope this is the last time I have to have a CT scan and the last time I have to deal with SimonMed. The quality of service regarding scheduling has really gone down hill and the insurance billing seems to be a big question mark. Why was I going to be charged over $400 at first? If I didn't question it, I would've been on the hook for this. I bet they would've never sent the claim knowing they over charged and would've kept my money. read more

Office staff at this location is rude and unprofessional, specifically Marianna at the front desk. The CT tech wanted to leave early so they bumped my appointment up by 45 min and then couldn't compete the exam when I arrived. Marianna was so rude when I was trying to reschedule. I will avoid this location at all cost. This isn't my first negative experience with this location. Simonmed needs to do better when hiring staff. read more

Upon entry, I was greeted by the kindness of the Lady who opens the facility. She was very professional and kind, as we had a great conversation. I feel bad not remembering her name, but she was awesome!! Shout out to Shelsey the exray technician who made my boobie exam painless and who was very gentle with the girls. (My boobies) I like that, these facilities keep you up to date, on future due mammograms by sending you reminders each year. It's a very clean facility with sanitizer in every room as well as, they wiped down all equipment in front of me which made me feel even better. I also like that, they have lockers to place your things into while you're having your exam. These 2 awesome Ladies deserve a huge raise and 6 Months off with pay!! Horrible experience with the front office. They clearly did not understand how to process insurance correctly. We were charged a $67 copay even though we had already met our deductible and our insurance pays 90%. More upsetting than the billing issue was the lack of compassion. Our son was sitting in the waiting room with 9 broken ribs and a shattered pelvis while the front office staff delayed care to verify deductible information. Even after confirming that our deductible had been met, they were rude and refused to release our card, insisting they keep it on file. When a family is dealing with severe injuries, the last thing they should have to fight about is insurance processing and basic courtesy. This was an extremely disappointing and stressful experience. That being said, our son wants to make sure we point out that the X-ray tech, Brock, was excellent. He was kind, professional, and compassionate during a very painful time. We truly appreciated his care. read more

This place needs some serious help with their scheduling teams & the clinic techs. I was told I had an appointment setup a week in advance. Two nights before that appointment I got a e-mail stating the location already approved didn't do the imaging my doctor submitted and I'd be contacted the next day to reschedule. Next day came... no communication. I had to call, only to get an agent who was so difficult to understand. I can only assume it was an off shore call center. There was so much background noise it was really difficult to understand, plus this agent seemed to struggle to find the right location that had the proper equipment for my test. We finally got that situated and an appointment was set for the following week. In the meantime I already had a heart stress test with contrast the day before the new Simon Med appointment was set. So my right arm was inserted with a IV durning my stress test. The technician at the heart clinic did a great job handling the insertion and removal of the IV. So next day I go to my Simon Med appointment, and I got in no issues, timing was pretty good and close to the pre-determined appointment. When I got to the room, I told the technician I had had the IV the previous day and to please use the other arm to insert the IV they were using for the contrast test. She looked at my other arm and claimed she couldn't find a vein? Now I'm not a nurse technician, but I'm pretty sure there are several places a IV can be inserted. After about 5 minutes of thumping on my left arm she said I can't find a vein so I'm going to the arm that just got a IV the day before at the heart doctor. So she stuckme in the same arm nearly the same spot from the day before.... Result, I got a huge bruise and it was really uncomfortable. read more

I started with Simon Med years ago and it was a good company back then ...HOWEVER something has happened to turn it into an absolute horror show. First of all, they went from local customer service where you could call someone who knew the city and what each office offered .. to outsourcing their scheduling department overseas where they clearly have no idea what they were talking about... Oh yes, they're very pleasant but they pass you around like a ball from department to department all the while trying to upsell you images that you don't want. When you tell them you want to stop talking to someone overseas and you want someone stateside they bounce you to yet another overseas person! I'm finally done with Simon med because I recently moved .. but oh my God what a nightmare trying to get your medical records transferred.! First, I signed the releases with my new imaging department and they called Simon med directly and after 30 minutes the radiologist came in with a shocked look on her face and told me that she had been treated rudely and they were completely unhelpful. This is one medical professional to supposedly another medical professional. She had such a horrible experience she showed me the law pertaining to getting your records in 30 days. I told her I would take care of it assuming there was some confusion. THAT was the start of a two week saga of trying to get my medical records sent. First call ...Overseas... they started the bouncing game. I'm getting bounced around trying to upsell me on images I don't need ... telling me to call back because the number I need to reach is busy... only giving me on the FIFTH call a number for medical records instead of immediately providing it ... Me, calling that number and Yep .. you guessed it!! ...no live person .., your choice is to ask for your records electronically or go into an office and ask for them ... I go online do the necessary work submit a request for my medical records about a week later I get a notification that they've canceled my request !? I call my new medical providers and they tell me they received the report but not the images !? SO I start all over again making calls, but this time I'm threatening them and I'm telling them that I am going to file a formal report with all the governmental agencies I can find if they don't get me my records .. they are very pleasant but I'm sure they're laughing their asses off at the phone call center at how they frustrated yet another American .. they promised me they'd put this all in an email and get it over to medical records and they would get "right back to me... "Four days pass not a single call ... I call my new provider and of course they've received no additional records .. so this time I write the most scathing letter I can possibly write because believe me I know how to do it .. and I told them absolutely that I will be filing with every governmental agency out there including the attorney general at the 11th hour on the 30th day if I don't have my records ... surprise surprise I get a response back a few hours later saying "sorry for the delay. Your images have been sent " I will call first thing in the morning, and if those images aren't there, I will be preparing my letter to the Attorney General's office and anyone else that can be notified. Simon med has devolved into some kind of racket.. some kind of operation that is apparently involved in some rather odd dealings with its customers... based on the reviews that I'm reading here. You can't be this bad without it being intentional. Simon Med has gone from a once great provider to an example of the worst possible customer service imaginable. read more

This place is a joke they are still living in 1985 trying to get my MRI electronically sent to the MAYO clinic in Rochester but they can't seem to figure it out or won't answer my messages so I can get a couple CDs to mail snail mail. My health providers in Nebraska having pushing the results for years like that In a city this big disgraceful. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Horrible customer service, long wait times. My doctor sent an order for xrays. Of course the first and only thing they care about is your id and insurance. I HAVE BOTH. After a hour of me waiting and my check in I was told that my doctor didn't put my insurance number on it and the technicians refused to do xray because they said it could be considered insurance fraud. The issue isn't that the situation happens but WHY MAKE ME WAIT A HOUR when you knew this, just wasted my time. I will never go back, when my doctor reissue my order with my insurance I'll go to any doctor but then or any affiliates. Who waits a whole hour to tell somebody that . read more

this company blows up my phone with calls, texts and emails to schedule an appointment but when u call your sent to an automated message that says no one is available and then hangs up on you. I try to schedule online but cannot get past the 2nd screen to complete the online appointment. horrible frustrating experience read more

If your hours are until 7P, why are you closed at 4:30 without explanation? I drove my sick toddler across town for this location because it was open later, only to be confused. I called customer service and excuse he gave me was well if the technician leaves that we don't have anyone there. Well,duh!? He advised I should call ahead to make sure they're open. Well, as I sit here with my wife waiting for her to get a CT scan, I am reminded of the Catholic idea of purgatory. Let me set the stage for you: - The too small waiting room is overcrowded, and the smell of feet in crocs after an afternoon of AZ sun permeates the air. On the TV, we are blissfully blessed with some type of murder expodition show titled Crime Stories with Nancy Grace talking about a man looking for his daughters head and arm. How pleasant. Here to see what awful thing is wrong with you, and here's some more awful for you. The gal trying to check people in is trying her best but is overmatched by the crazy lady who needs her Stat issue dealt with. Look, this is no critique on the folks working in the back. Hopefully, it all goes well for my wife. If not, well probably chapter 2 will be incoming. My advice to Simon Med is to read the book The Power of Moments. Please! read more

I had an MRI scheduled today. I was told by SimonMed yesterday that my MRI is 100% covered by insurance. The very rude front desk girl spoke over me said it was almost $700 for a copay. When I explained to her that was incorrect she spoke over me with a horrible tone and attitude and said I can leave a credit card on file and they have 4-6 weeks to process insurance before my card will be charged. Crazy! I have gone to SimonMed so many times and have had exceptional service. They no longer answer their appointment calls in the US they are outsourced over seas. It took me over two hours prior to this appointment to speak with someone and get this appointment. I would avoid this location due to the front desk girl. read more

The service at this facility is outstanding. My husband was in a great deal of pain when he went for an MRI but the technician was very careful assisting him walking and also in the MRI scanner. He felt respected and it was nice to not have added stress. read more

I was sent here for a follow up to a previous imaging appointment. I knew better than to come to them because I had always had bad experiences with this company, but this is the facility that offered the imaging that I needed and is contracted with my insurance company. Every single one of their facilities is shoddy and slow. The facility forgot to request the imaging from my provider and I spent two hours waiting while they try to figure this out. Ultimately, they were not able to get what I needed that day, and this was after I had already gone to two separate locations because they were never clear in my email reminders about which facility that I should go to. They didn't even have water available in the lobby. I've already asked my doctor to send me somewhere else. I'd be happy to pay out of network cost to have a better experience than I did here. read more

SimonMed Imaging is unprofessional and does not care about their patient's medical condition or the patient's time. This morning, I went for a procedure. Was told they submit insurance pre-authorization for "procedure A" but the doctor's orders were for "procedure B". I had went to SimonMed Imaging - Dobson II two weeks prior for another procedure and confirmed everything was good to go with today's appointment; they advised it was. Another visit, they scheduled me for "procedure A", upon arrival I was informed they were unable to do "procedure A" at the scheduled time due to no staff present. SimonMed made no attempt to take into consideration my time. Their only suggestion was to "self-pay". I do not recommend SimonMed Imaging at all, this is the third time they have created a situation where I am forced to re-schedule. read more

I can't imagine a less competent group. To start with they did not enter my insurance information correctly and therefore tried to bill me triple the negotiated rate- this even after I called the billing department and this location in advance and had a note put in my file. The X-ray technician was adequate however Next I received a balance due bill showing they didn't even read their internal notes. Now the absolutely aggravating part - when you call, and if you can ever get through, the people you deal with are almost completely unable to speak or understand English. They have no authority to actually do anything and kept jabbering about referring you to someone but never do. Never waste your time here! Almost everyone who came in after me experienced the same attempt at over billing but when challenged, the receptionist immediately relented, this hardly seems like an accident! read more

First experience, my appointment was rescheduled 12 times. I wish I was kidding. Some of them I showed up to my appointment and was told I didn't have an appointment or that it was somewhere else. They kept putting my exam type in wrong and we're failing to get proper insurance verification because of it. Second experience weeks later. Scheduled the appointment, it was confirmed, and then I got notification it was canceled because it had been booked improperly. After FOUR months of repeating thing cycle, I finally get scheduled only to show up and be told they didn't get the pre authorization so I can pay cash or reschedule again so they can get it. I go ahead and pay cash so I can get this urgent heart imaging done. They then proceed to call me for weeks afterwards "to schedule" because someone finally got the pre authorization done but hadn't noted the exam was already completed. To top it off, the woman at the front desk responds to every one's questions about why there's an issue with their situation (and was literally everyone who came in while I was waiting to go back) with answers like "I don't know why they do that but it's not my job to" and "that's not something I deal with". For the 3rd time this referral they are having to reschedule my appointment. My referral is gonna have to be renewed before I can use it. The first time they cancelled prematurely without talking to me. Had everything they needed. Now they called to tell me they scheduled me for a time no one will be there. Their customer service is declining dramatically. I need an MRI on my back and neck and they continue to screw this up. It's been 4 months now and my surgeon might have to refer me to another company cause this is ridiculous. They never respond or take fault, it's always someone else's fault. Had an appointment for Breast MRI. Got there 15 minutes prior. Was turned away because the person at front desk said I needed to be there 30 minutes prior. Showed her my numerous texts from SimonMed stating 15 minutes prior. She could care less. Told her I also called same day as appointment to confirm no eating, drinking, etc before. The person on the phone clarified and said be there 15 minutes early. I also told the person on the phone that the link sent to me several times, before my appointment did not work. She said that was okay just get there 15 minutes early. Tried to tell the front desk person that it might be important to have the texts match what is actually required and that the text department should be aware. She said it was not her problem. I felt shamed and disregarded and I left. I allowed a re-schedule but I will not be going. read more

Based on their ratings I am almost discouraged to write this, as I'll just be another drop in their bucket. Basically I went and they told me I didn't have a bill, so I was good to go. I won't even get into how bad the service was, but I will say the lady at the desk was on the phone with her friend actively looking for a new job because she wanted to quit that very day. That was really all I needed to know about this place to confirm how bad it was. Flash forward 7 - 8 months and I received a bill. I wasn't happy about it, but I am someone that just pays their bills instantly and moves on (I had verified with my insurance it was accurate). Well, unfortunately they spelled my name wrong and had the wrong date of birth. I couldn't use their online portal, so I called in and that was a huge mistake. Hours of the run around, multiple numbers and emails, but nobody could help me pay my bill. At this time I am still sitting here with a bill I can't pay, hoping they're reach out to me so I can give THEM my money. Apparently they moved new systems and some shady third party is holding all of the previous customers accounts. But that company also can't help, so I have been in limbo with no contact back for weeks. I mean, this place is bad at even collecting their money. I had a 3:10 appointment for a Cat Scan. I arrived 20 minutes early. I waited patiently and at 30 minutes past my appointment time I asked the woman at the desk when I'd be seen. She looked into it and said "soon". I asked what the reason was and was told there was a patient w/ difficulties earlier. I was not seen until slightly over an hour past my appointment time. Please do not go here!!! They just tried to scam me and then refused my appointment! I know for sure I have no payment when going for my exam! Checked in and they said I had to pay $130 I said no please check that. They said they called my insurance and now only have to pay $20 I said how do we go from $130 to $20 when I know I don't owe. That's what your insurance said! So I said I'll call them and stepped outside. Insurance said absolutely not you don't owe. Walked back in there with them still on the phone explaining to the lady what they are telling me and she still refused. Insurance asked to speak to them 10 mins later oh ok you don't owe anything but we can't see you know your appointment past you'll have to reschedule. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Rude and uncaring MRI tech, Derek sp? He refused to help lower me on the hard table. Said really rudely, "I don't offer my arm to anyone!" What a jerk! I've had 5 back surgeries with 3 fusions and I have had chronic pain for 20 years! I've always had help with getting down and up off the CT and MRI tables wherever I go--even at the hospitals!!! What about the elderly patients who REALLY need help?!? I am disabled and almost fell off the narrow table trying to roll to my right side and get off. I was afraid that I was going to fall for sure! Came really close to falling! I guess if I had I could have sued Derek or Simon Med. I left a message on Tuesday and today for a manager or supervisor to call me. Nothing. No phone calls!! Totally unacceptable in this day and age!!! Guess Customer Satisfaction doesn't mean ANYTHING to this Simon Med!!! After 20 years of going to Simon Med, I am no longer taking my business there anymore. I'll go to SMIL going forward! read more

Never going back to this location for a mammogram. The person who performed my imaging was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional. I should have gotten her name to discuss this with the manager at this location. I will be letting my provider know about the awful experience I had. I am going to SMIL next time. read more

I was scheduled for a MRI they told me on the phone my co pay would be 100.00. When I got there they told me my co pay is 700.00 dollars.

I am not sure what has happened to Simon Med imaging but it has become an awful place to receive care. The facilities are no longer clean, the employees lack professionalism, and the medical treatment is terrible. Avoid it if you can! read more

I am writing this not only as a provider that sends all of our patients to SimonMed but also as a patient. We have been using SimonMed exclusively for over 12 years. 2 days ago, I dislocated both my knees in an accident. My boss wrote out an MRI request for SimonMed Dobson II and faxed it over to them. After waiting 24hrs in excruciating pain, unable to walk or drive myself, I got a ride over to their office because I could not reach anyone after holding for over 15 min on several attempts. I arrived, barely got myself inside and before I even got to the desk the rude cow sitting there told me that they would call me to set an appointment and that I should hear from them within 10 days. I told her that I could barely walk and that my boss told me to get there and wait if I had to. NO WAITING... They had to verify insurance blah blah blah... I said, I am paying cash and she then told me that I would have to wait for a call. Please note: I did receive SEVERAL texts from SimonMed saying that I could walk in. I got 2 calls today from their system trying to set up an appt and I did try to call them back but was told the wait was over 13 min and after 8 min of holding was disconnected. 1st - We will no longer send our patients to SimonMed 2nd - Fix your automated system! 3rd - Don't hire rude idiots to run your office! There are so many complains on here about her that I now realize that you don't really care about your patients or clients. read more

My daughter's "stat" CTscan took nearly a week to get scheduled. We arrived 30 min before our appt time as requested. We waited on a long line and when we finally got up to the desk to check in we were told that her appointment was cancelled because there was no Tech on duty and "They forgot to call us." So unprofessional and the receptionist was incredibly rude to boot. I will never understand how this is deemed as HeathCARE. read more

Absolutely horrible. Got there at 3:45 for 4:00 appointment and walked out at 5:45. Front desk girl is young, rude, horrible communicator. Watched her be rude to others checking in, and then tried to blame me for them being an hour behind. Feels more like a free clinic than a place that you are paying money to get help. Was told PA was only one who could schedule my MRI, have 6-7 msgs no return calls, no way to talk to the PA and clearly no concern for patients. This is literally the worst company. I have yet to ever have a good experience with them but today was so frustrating. I checked in at 11 AM for an 11:15 MRI. I'm given paperwork to fill out and I'm told that I owe close to $100 for the appointment. I tell them that number is incorrect and they need to double check that. So I fill out the paperwork and turn it in at 11:05. She says she still waiting to hear back from her billing department. At 11:30 I go up to the front desk to check in and the receptionist is sitting on her phone. I asked her if she's heard anything from billing and she checks and magically, she "just got an email back from them". and of course, I was correct, I did not owe that amount. So she says they will be up to take me right back. So I go back and sit down for another 10 minutes, it's now 25 minutes past my appointment time. I once again go to the front desk to check and figure out what is going on. She goes back to the back and someone comes and gets me but I can hear the MRI machine going so clearly there's someone else in the room. At this point, it's 30 minutes past my exam time and, there's someone else receiving an MRI in the room so I would not have been seen at least for another 10 to 15 minutes. I just canceled and left. I'm going to get my doctors orders sent to Scottsdale medical imaging. They are always on time, they are always professional, always respectful of your time. read more
