This was the worst experience of my life. 235 S . Dobson Village Dobson 1 I scheduled an MRI, and the first appointment setter booked me at the Mesa office. She read me the prep instructions: light food, no ejaculation. only water, that was it. I later decided to change locations. The second appointment setter read me the exact same prep: light food, no ejaculation only water. That was it. Again, no mention whatsoever of a Fleet enema. He scheduled me at the Dobson 1 location. 10am I arrived for my appointment and waited at the front desk for ten minutes with no one present. When someone finally showed up, I completed the paperwork. The MRI tech came out and took me to the locker room. She asked if I had done the enema. I told her no--because no one had ever mentioned it. She said they couldn't do the MRI without it. No apology. Nothing. She simply rescheduled me for the next day, 5pm Hour before the new appointment, I received a text reminder: "It's almost time for your appointment at SimonMed at Dobson Village." I arrived to find two workers--one being the same MRI tech from the day before--and someone in a patient gown behind the desk. They were all laughing and joking around. As soon as the MRI tech saw me walk in, (we made eye contact) she ran to the back like a child. The receptionist then told me they couldn't do my MRI because they had "no electric connection to a doctor," which apparently is required in case of an emergency. She even smirked while saying it. Why on earth did no one call me to cancel this appointment? Why make me come in? Why send me a reminder text for an appointment they already knew couldn't perform? I planned my entire day around this appointment--a day I will never get back. And as a senior citizen I realize the true colors of these workers this office and this company, no empathy no respect for the elderly nor their patients. This was total disrespect toward a patient. SimonMed should compensate me for my time and enema kit. The office manager should be ashamed and counseled as for staff no second chances. read more

Arrived for chest x-rays to rule out or confirm pneumonia. Fun fun fun. Upon checking in I received two texts, one confirming my appointment (Why?!), and the second also confirming an appt, to arrive 15 min prior, and that payment may be due. Um, did all that. Forms to fill out. Television sitcom playing with medical related commercials. Maybe a couple dozen chairs of which there are about 7 or 8 clients waiting. And before I can finish typing those last two sentences a door to my left opens and my name is called. I gather my loot and hustle back to the technician and ask what direction. He points the way and asks if I'm wearing a bra. Apparently the no bra plan has a quicker turn around, fwiw. Young man directs me to stand in specific location and shares the tip that the closer I stand to the platform the better the xray results. Well let's get this done. The first one done and now a turn to my right and hold the bar above head -he says no swinging. Yes, I asked. Seems he's been told the same thing. One more deept breath -and hold it, and I am done. It looks like I'm in the minority of positive reviews for this location. I did book an appointment online many days prior, so this cut down the wait time and form completion protocols for me. By reading the previous reviews here, many had challenges in finding the correct office location The front office entrance is indeed in a peculiar narrow area between two buildings which can make it unobtrusive and frustrating to find. With three locations in the same plaza, it does get confusing! They must get many patients who get frustrated because the first item you see on the wall of the office is a map/question asking "Are you in the correct location?" The tech I had on Dec 29th, 2024 at 11:30am was fabulous though! He was friendly, warm and courteous. This kind worker explained what to expect during the procedure and made sure I was comfortable. I was done in under 20 minutes. Now to hear what my doc says after seeing the MRI..... read more

Upon entry the nice ladies at the front desk were Welcoming and one kept calling me sweetheart and darling. When I told her my age she almost fell out of her chair. I'm starting to Love these responses as I become seasoned. This was by far one of the best experience for our Lady boobie exam!!! My image consultant was awesome, as we talked and laughed about my questions about a boobie job. I think that, I surprised her when I told her that mine were actually real (nothing against fake ones). Lol I'm sure that, She was even more surprised when I proved it and the teardrops fell into place. lmao The things that come out of my mouth even surprise myself sometimes! I have a feeling that she needed the laughter though!!! Anyway, she made me feel comfortable with my exam and got me in and out!!! It was a super fast process. Definitely recommend going here! The results were issued in just a couple of days and thankfully... I'm able to check this test off of my list of exams that my Doctor set up for me. As we become seasoned these exams are necessary folks! Peace of mind exams are always necessary! As always, there's plenty of free parking onsite! read more

I was scheduled for 3 MRA's and they got cancelled the day before as they claimed I needed a sedative for the one MRA which was not called for by my Physician. I reschedule at another location and when I showed up for my appointment, they told me they had to cancel my appointment again because the technician didn't show for the day. Very unprofessional and disappointed. I called my Physician and requested another company for my imaging to be performed. read more

Not only did I wait a long time to be seen for my scheduled appointment. But they stopped me in the middle of my MRI, had me wait in the hallway , while they did an MRI on someone else and then had me go back in to finish my MRI. The scheduling department is also terrible. They scheduled me for an MRI without contrast when it should have been with and without contrast. Now, I'm currently waiting on their billing department to get back to me about not being charged again for their mistake, as I will need to go back and have the MRI with contrast done. I was told it can take up to 3 weeks for them to call me back. read more

Horrible time management at this location, literally waited over 2 hours for a scheduled appointment and they kept saying I was next and I wasn't, lol. The receptionist was sweet but she had no idea what was going on or how to be efficient. She wasn't very proactive in letting people know that the appointments were running late, I'm the one who had to approach her after 40 minutes of being there to ask her how much longer it would be. They also tried to charge me some astronomical amount and I knew it was wrong, I called my insurance company to verify my 25$ copay. I feel like Simon med just tries to scam people or they don't know how to train their admin staff on doing what is right for the patient. When I handed the phone over to the receptionist and she spoke to my insurance company to verify she said to me "wow you are lucky you had someone to call" I was thinking uh yeah lady it's called calling the insurance company to verify the co pay. There is an awesome feature online for Simon Med Imaging called patient queue for walk in x rays. The feature allows you to see how many people are waiting. Unfortunately, it does not tell you that the technician is on a lunch break. When I arrived at the Tempe location, I was told that the technician was on a lunch break and it would be 40 minutes before I could start the process to check in. I ended up going to the Chandler location to save time. To some this may not be a big deal, but Simon med needs to consider patients that are managing pain. Personally, it was a great effort to get up and go to this appointment. To hear that I had to wait 40 minutes sounded like a lifetime. I imagine even non-pain patients would appreciate, knowing if a technician is on break or not as well. Also, there isn't any online forms or iPad available to fill out patient information. There were three pages that I had to hand write which was also time consuming. The x-ray itself was an easy process and the techs were nice. read more

I had a 6:45 pm appointment for this location earlier today. I was called at 6:00 pm and was told they were running at least an hour behind. I'm 26 miles away and I was told 7 inshore would be fine. If they were running at least an hour behind my 7:15 arrival would have been fine but discovered nobody was there! I was even told that if something changed, they would call me. I was impressed with the initial call to inform me about the delay. Needless to say that finding no one upon my arrival was a total disappointment. Given that this was my third strike with two previous rescheduling issues not within my control, Simon Med Imaging appears to have some serious performance and communication issues. I've read some reviews of the reviews for various locations and the problems appear to be systemic across most offices. I will insist on a different company in the future as I travel for business at least 80% of the time and today's issues are very regrettable. read more

I needed x-rays and decided to go to SimonMed. When I got to the front desk, I was told there was over an hour wait. I was advised that a nearby location (within walking distance) had a much shorter wait. I walked to their second location, checked in, and waited perhaps 20 minutes, and had my name called and brought back to get my x-rays done. Look the place itself it and their staff are great, but their their 3rd party call system operates out of India. They just don't understand our healthcare system and because of that I had my MRI rescheduled 12 times!! YES, 12 TIMES. I had been trying to obtain an MRI since Nov 2nd and finally got everything in line the DAY BEFORE MY FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT FOR CHRONIC PAIN. Their staff in incredibly unhelpful, often refused to help, often put me on hold for 30 + minutes at a time only to be hung up on; would transfer me repeatedly to the wrong department or dead lines. They have wasted dozens of hours of my time not to mention money from a useless follow up appointment due to not having my MRI done. If you guys actually cared about your patients health care, you would get a better call operations system ASAP, that could at least have an escalations department! read more

This business is a mess. I showed up for my 12pm appt at Pecos, after I filled out all the forms and plaid my deductible they told me I needed a 1.5 MRI machine and they didn't have one. So they booked me for a 3:45pm appointment at Tempe. When I walked in they told me they couldn't do it because I had been double booked. So my third appointment today now at Chandler. I'm being asked to pay yet another deductible. Now I'm being told that because I have a nerve stimulator it must be working in order to get the MRI. I can only get a CT scan meaning the insurance approval process has to be done all over again. Something I should have been told by other techs. Two days wasted at Simon Med. read more

My mom has a history of cancer and needs to be tested every so often. They keep rescheduling her for her ultrasound and keep stating she needs another service when that is not what her Dr ordered. They refuse to reach out to her Dr or accept the referral. Someone even called her the day before this last appointment time which was Thursday 2-16- 23 to confirm her ultrasound. When she arrived on Friday 2-17-23 again she was turned away. Her Dr office confirmed the referral but for whatever reason they have different information and refuse to help. If something happens to my mother I am sueing SimonMed. This is unacceptable and my mother was in tears as she has not been feeling well and has been trying to get this done for 2 months now. SimonMed do better. I will be going with my mom to these appointments now to see she is being treated fairly. read more

This place is a nightmare. DO NOT COME HERE. There's no sign to find the entrance. We had an appointment at 1:00. They told us to be here 15 minutes early. We get here early and they have a sign that said closed for lunch and no one is here. When a patient in the waiting room saw everyone waiting outside, she let us in. The staff was in the break room and we waited forever for them to come out. The front desk girls kept leaving to go to the back and left the front desk unattended. We had to knock on the break room door to get them to come back and enter our paperwork. I told my doctor I never want to use Simon Med ever again.. especially this location. This place is TERRIBLE. There is NO SIGN ON THE BUILDING!!!!! They are in the north part of the building that has a glass lobby. Go inside to the left and look carefully for the muted color sign.... I was worried going in looking at the reviews for this place. I had an MRI scheduled and I read about all of the things that could go wrong. I got a couple of texts prior to my appointment that prompted me to fill out my paperwork before I arrived which I did. It also advised that I arrive 30 min before my appointment which I also did. The receptionist was very friendly. The guy that performed my MRI was very accommodating. He gave me a blanket bc I was freezing and kept me informed how much time was left, etc. I did wait a bit, but it wasn't anything crazy. Everyone was really nice. Nothing that deserves 1 star. I was on the phone on hold for over an hour before I could even get an appointment- It took three tries at being on hold for 45-75 minutes to finally get to talk to someone because they hung up on me. After getting the appointmentI went to the one I had been to before because they told me to go to Dobson Road- There are like 7 on Dobson Road. They one I had used before was closed, no address was given only Dobson Road. After driving around and trying to find out where they were fro over 30 minutes, I found another one, and they said I had been listed as a no show. I tried calling to see what was going on, only to be hung up on again. I will not be returning to Simon MED to get my testing completed! My son had to get an MRI of his thumb and wrist area, we thought would be 1 appointment / visit and when making the appointment they failed to let us know we had to make 2 appointments for this. When we went on Tuesday, 5/30 they only did his thumb and they informed us we had to come back on Saturday, 9/3 to do his wrist. When we came on Saturday, 9/3 there was no one at the front desk from 5:28-5:32 for us to check in at 5:30. The girl walked up at 5:32p to checking us and had an attitude and was very rude. The waiting room was very awkward, the TV was off and just a really bad customer service experience. We all have had to work on Saturdays but there is no reason front desk should ever be unpleasant. read more

If I could rate lower I would. I have had to use SimonMed for various imaging throughout the years. In EVERY SimonMed I have gone to over those years the front desk is extremely rude. The appointment setters do not know which location does what or what time certain technicians leave. I have had to be rescheduled several times for that reason, no tech or the location I was scheduled at did not do the imaging I needed. SimonMeds billing methods are terrible. I am made to pay a large amount upfront, before I'm even told they can't do the exam, and then have an extremely hard time getting refunded from the billing department. SimonMed, their management and owner seem to think only of the $$$ and not of their customers. I do not understand why doctors want you to use them. read more

I arrived earlier than my appointment time. I checked in and was told there was not a wait. After waiting 20 minutes, I checked in with the front office and they said it would be any minute. After 20 more minutes, I went up to the desk and they had mixed up my orders. They did not try to communicate with me when they realized there was a mix up. They let me just sit and wait. The office staff was all very nice, but after waiting for one hour and 15 minutes, I demanded my money back and left. There are other places I can go and I plan to do that moving forward. Not one person has helped me at SimonMed. I never ever ever will get imaging done here and I will tell Everyone that will listen not to go here. I have tried for 2 weeks now to schedule an appointment for an MRI as I have extreme leg pain and my Doctor needs an MRI before she will do anything else. 2 weeks and I'm still dealing with incorrect scheduling, and bad communication. 4 text confirmations, and an email that says my appointment was for 8pm. I showed up and my appointment was "postponed" till when no idea. I was told someone called me twice and left voicemail. I have 1 missed called and no voice message. I'm in pain trying to do the right thing and schedule an appointment and SimonMed could care less. They are not here to help. They don't care just want to waste your time. read more

Here it wouldn't let me proceed without it. What a bunch of crap. I got into office and it is 3:30.now. I'm told it will be over an hour wait. For walk-in even though they scheduled me by phone early in the day. I turn around and NO seats available. I had to go stand outside as I wrote this review. SimonMed sucks. They don't care how much time you are inconvenienced. Oh by the way, I owed a $15 copay. Boy they snagged that payment in less than a minute. You are just another breathing animal... Had an appt in Chandler AZ for a few weeks. Drove for 1hr and Arrived an hour and 45 min early. After standing in line for approximately 20 minutes, we Found out the location was incorrect. This despite the fact that the scheduling person had given us the exact address we were at. They wanted to send us back Maricopa City from whence we had come. As we were getting in the car we called scheduling. They confirmed we did have an appt in Chandler. Went back in. The scheduler and desk clerk hashed it out and sent us to a different location in Chandler. They also gave us an appointment that was 15 minutes later than the original. Arrived at the new location roughly 1hr early. Finally got called in 20 minutes late. WTH!? What a crazy organization to have to deal with. read more

I knew I might be in for some trouble when I walked in the door in February. The waiting area floor hadn't been swept lately and there were dirty fingerprints on the windows and walls. The person who checked me in started describing another procedure to me than the one I was having. When I questioned her, she looked into it and corrected herself. She insisted I pay upfront for my deductable, which isn't usual, but I paid with hesitation. The person conducting the test was very good, friendly and explained what he would do. My claim was denied by my insurance, but they indicated they would look at it again with further coding. SimonMed said they would check the coding with my Dr's office, but that was 2 months ago. I am currently on hold for 25+ minutes and not sure what the person is doing. I will not return to this facility. read more

Had an appointment with Simon med. Double-checked pre-authorization with my insurance. Was denied. Simon med submitted incorrect doctor name and no backup paperwork. Worked with my insurance to reschedule and resubmit. Received appointment confirmation with instructions, called insurance to confirm approval. The day before the appointment (Monday), Christie called to say test was not covered. I explained that I confirmed authorization and have the notice from Simon med. I explained the denial must be old. I asked her to confirm the date. She said 1am Sunday. I told her that does not line up. She asked if I was calling her a liar. I told her I would call her right back with the authorization. I asked for a direct line. She said she would note the file and to call the toll number, ask for az authorizations. I called back within 10 minutes. Operator said there was no direct line to authorizations and my appointment was cancelled. She said there was nothing she could do and she could not see the denial letter but she would email them to call me. The operator was so nice. I called my insurance and switched my approval to AZ Advanced Imaging. Simon med does not train their staff and their customer service is less than satisfactory. They have not established any form of customer feedback.....hmmm wonder why. Be sure to call your insurance with feedback. read more

So I was informed I need to schedule an imaging test from my doctor and I've attempted to call to schedule now 3 times. The first time I held for 30+ minutes and the scheduler- who was being very short with me on the phone, disconnected the call within the first minute. The second time a couldn't hold past 40 minutes as I have to perform job responsibilities. Today I called and held starting at around 4:30 local and also decided to try to use the website chat feature. The chat seemed to dump as soon as it was 5pm. The call just kept playing the terrible robo music from their phone switch and at 5:20 I figured after an hour i'm pretty sure they abandoned my call. I'm going to reach out to my doctor (who I can actually get ahold of) and request a better provider. read more

The most disorganized and difficult business I have ever dealt with. Had to reschedule a mammogram twice because they said the order from my doctor was wrong and the first time they had no phone or internet to contact my doctor. The second time they said my doctor was insisting that they do the diagnostic mammogram and they said it was not needed based on my last mammogram. It's interesting how a image technician can refuse to do a procedure that the doctor ordered. I will travel far and wide to find any other place than SimonMed. I called after 2:00 to confirm my 3:30 arrival time and they didn't bother to tell me they canceled the rest of the appointments for the day. Walk in x-ray? Fat chance! I went to the first location at Dobson where the sign for walk-in x-rays was DISPLAYED, beckoning people in at 3:30 pm. After walking my walker a long way to get in and waiting in line, I was blithely told they were no longer doing walk-in x-rays that day, even though they're open until 5. I had to go to a different location a few buildings away, where that line was nice and long, too. (I had checked the queue online. Don't believe it.) Even though I live very close to the Riggs and Alma School location, I won't even try it because when I would check the central number to make sure someone was there to do the x-ray, they said yes. But when I walked the mile wide parking lot and through the huge lobby, they would have put a small sign at the desk that x-rays weren't available. This happened to me three times total. They are stupid and lazy at that location. At least at the other locations you have a 50/50 chance of getting someone intelligent who treats you like a human being. Simon Med needs much better protocols (how about phoning the central number when x-rays are no longer available and taking down the signs saying "walk in?"), and they need to TEACH them to every dolt who works for them. And also consider that many of their customers have mobility issues so maybe have more than 2 disabled parking spaces in a crowded parking lot. read more
