I used to come here before Covid and they did an amazing job. I came once after Covid and it took forever, I tried another place but my nails broke easily so I decided to go back. I made an appt at 11. Let's just say I will never ever come back. They didn't even start my nails until an hour later and then when at 12 when they said I should have been done but hadent even started I had to take a phone calm to conduct an interview. The nail tech acted like it was an inconvenience every time I had to switch hands to continue my call. Here I am two days later and it took over two hours to complete my nails only. I have a broken nail. Do yourself a favor and don't go here! It's expensive and shitty service and quality!! read more

UPDATED: I went back in to get the sns removed and this is one of the only places that removes it gently and without damaging nails further (that I have found). Ultimately I know I will go back here so I updated my star review as I think this was just a really poorly timed fluke. I went in and got an opaque light pink sns manicure (I think the color was 32?) for my wedding and within a few days the opaque pink turned into this dingy yellow. No clue why and since it was a destination wedding I was not able to get them removed. Honestly I have had amazing experiences at this salon (this was the best sns manicure I have ever had) but having yellow nails for my wedding is a deal breaker. I'm not sure if the quality of their product was the issue but either way this is an issue! read more

The gentleman that did my gel manicure was not concerned with the actual health of my nail beds. My nails were very healthy when I came to them but he filed my nail beds down to be paper thin. Even when I would tell him it was getting uncomfortable, he mostly ignored me and just pulled out a new filing tool. My nails started cracking 2 days later. My nails have been breaking in places they have never broken ever since. Despite my nails being healthy enough that when I arrived they initially thought I needed a full for an acrylic set (I've never had one). I just about need one now. They are clean and efficient, but also dishonest and I will never do business with dishonest people. When I started going there for my pedicures, they presented me with a punch card that provided a free pedicure after ten visits. I filled a card and came in for my free pedicure as promised. When I presented the card after my pedicure, they refused to honor the card as they said that it had expired. There was no expiration date on this card. They just punched it 6 weeks prior and never said anything about an expiration. I had sent a few of my friends in the past year and I am sorry for that. Iv been getting my SNS nails here for the last year or so. Their SNS used to be great and lots of color options. Bu lately I've been pretty unhappy. Nails are lumpy and dull and the last time just uneven some were longer than others and I didn't like the shape. They also seem to charge extra for everything. I.e shape change which makes me nervous to ask for anything. Needless to say I've moved on to another salon. It's further away but worth the trek. read more

After being a regular customer at this nail salon, last week I had the worst possible experience. I don't normally write negative reviews but I felt like I really needed to get this off my chest. Last week on Wednesday, as I was walking in to Crystal Nails, I was greeted by someone with "Oh no what happened to your face?!" As confused as I was, I responded "what do you mean?" And the lady said to me "Your face is so red!! Oh no!" Unfortunately I don't know the woman's name. All I can say if how horrible I felt. My response to her was "I have a skin condition called rosacea- that is what is wrong with my face" (in front of a very busy salon and everyone looking at me as I was standing at the entrance feeling absolutely humiliated) people getting their nails done were in shock. I will never return to this Salon because of the lack of professionalism. Luckily I found an amazing nail salon across the street next to fred Meyer that just opened and they are absolutely wonderful. read more

Went back in as the owner invited me to come back and she would make it right. She did a much better job and did the nail art I originally wanted. Still only 4 stars since the first experience shouldn't have happened, but I love that she made it right. Only criticism would be that she had a coworker finish off my top coat and massage (no big deal at all, except it was the same lady that didn't do a good job the first time). The top coat was applied sloppily and the ends not sealed, so I hope it lasts, but the massage was wonderful. Solid shop and I would recommend. Annie, the owner, even asked what advice to give the other woman to help her improve. She is a wonderful owner and I greatly appreciate her wonderful customer service. Oh! I came into Crystal nail today for a deluxe pedicure. What should have been a relaxing hour was anything but. I am also in the Salon industry (10+ years) and I am aware of the Covid guidelines for the industry currently as well as general safety and sanitization procedures. Upon check in I was asked to sanitize (good) but beyond that there was no additional sanitization done in the hour I was there. No temperature was taken. I was seated two chairs away from another lady. After she received her services and was drying she took her mask off. I was not going to say anything but noticed the gentleman who must be the new owner start to make the rounds to each guest asking how their services were. I hoped that this was a natural way for him to approach the client to ask her to please put her mask back on. (Currently it is WA state covid standard that in salon/spas guests wear masks at all times) he then approached her, and she went to put her mask back on and he told her she did NOT need to put her mask on. So she sat while drying without a mask on, drinking and coughing in the salon. I watched another guest get up from the manicure chair as well as the lady sitting a few chairs down from me, and as they left no additional sanitation was done to the hard surfaces/workstations. My technician then finished with my pedicure (my service was okay but at this point the experience was gone) and less than 5 minutes later a lady that had been working on another client (who I heard referred to as Rose) came by and WITHOUT sanitizing her hands, touched my foot asking if I was dry, leaving a thumbprint in the clear coat that was not dry. So cross contamination from the other lady's foot she was working on, while messing up my clear coat of my service. As someone who works in the industry, I would have appreciated more concern over safety and sanitation, just as a standard business practice, but now more than ever. read more

I was a regular customer at this place from past 3+ years until today.. had the worst experience of all. The person who was working on my nails today used to be my favorite until today when she decided to be extremely UNPROFESSIONAL, RACIST and RUDE. It did not feel like I was receiving a $100+ service and felt like I wasn't entitled to receive good service. First, after my pedicure was over, I was asked to walk BAREFEET from the pedicure station to the nail station.. Ridiculous! I was wearing a pair of flipflops to my appointment and they usually slip those into your feet before you get up. But not this time!! I was asked to get up and walk barefeet to the nail station. Second, I always ask my nail technician for her recommendation on the color. I liked a particular one from their design card and asked her to do the exact same thing. She said pick a color.. I said here is the color on the card, she said pick a color.. she didnt stop. I tried to keep calm and asked her to help me find the color, she picked up a random color and said here you go.. see I knew you wont like what I picked.. In the end, I was forced to choose something I didnt like and then had to go through a painful, rushed, uncomfortable service. In the past 3 years, off and on I used to feel that this place is racist, but kept going back because I liked their craft. I thought that I am receiving equal service. But that bubble broke when I saw the nail technician's behavior change as soon as she started working on someone else(with a different skin color). Very very hurtful experience. Crystal Nails & Spa- today you guys lost a regular happy customer. I am never going to come back to you guys and am going to ask my friends too to not go to you. You are losing not just me, but a decent amount of clientele. read more

I made an appointment more than 24 hours in advance for myself & my two friends for pedicures. We were all there plenty early & had our colors picked out, but they weren't ready for us. They finally sat two of us about 15 minutes later & then the third another few minutes after that. The whole point of making an appointment was so we could enjoy our pedicures TOGETHER!!! Once we were all seated, they still only worked on two of us, so my second friend was just sitting there soaking for about 30 minutes. And to top it off, somehow even though she was the last to get started, they still managed to finish her first. My legs & feet are super soft & I like the color, but when I make an appointment & we're spending $100, I expect better service than that. read more

Services I received: fill, pedicure and half leg wax Upon walking in, I received a warm welcome and a walk though of their services sheet. There you can customize your services and pick your beverage of choice. I went with the jasmine tea. The pedicure I got was ahhhhmazing! They used oranges and creams and lotions and stones OH MY! I received the most comforting massage! My fill I went with the SNS nails. They removed my acrylics and this needed to UV light and feels so natural and amazing! Don't worry about the lack of colors, they have TONS to choose from. Leg wax was awesome and overall, my experience was the best I've had here in the NW. Crystal nails is wonderful! it's a smaller location, but these ladies really put quality before anything! No, it was not $35 i was charged incredible more for a lousy job. I was charged more, and no I didn't tip because the service was not good. My nail tech missed spots and did not take care of my in-growns. So no, it was not worth the price charged as it was a sub par service and I was charged more than what was on the sheet that I agreed to. With an attitude like that, of blaming the customer, I should have turned around and left rather than keep my appointment, but I wanted to respect the nail tech who had to do the service. I have been hear 3 times now. This place is a hidden gem! It is located in a little dingy parking lot and I didn't expect much, but gave it a try based on good reviews. I paid $25 for a gel manicure which is cheaper than most gel manicures in the area. It isn't the best gel manicure I have received but still a sufficiently good job. I would rather come here every time than pay an additional $10-15 at another salon for not much more value. The classic $25 pedicure is very high quality for it being the basic option. The pedicures take a little longer than normal but they do a thorough job; I always just make sure to plan ahead so enough time if I want a pedicure.
