Fried shrimp appetizer Salt and pepper shrimp

I don't want to give a bad review because the people seemed nice and they were working really hard and getting a lot of orders over the phone. The food didn't taste bad, I ate it. I'm just used to it being not so dry (the shrimp). I'm glad I tried this place but I'm not going to go out of my way to come back. There were a lot of choices on the menu and they have to be doing some items really well because as soon as they hung up, the phone would ring again almost instantly.

I was looking for a convenient Asian takeout place that offers delivery through Grubhub. I ordered pork and beef lo mein. Both lo mein's were great for my preferences. The meat was a perfect medium rare tender but it was cut VERY thin, smaller bites. I liked this because you get a bite of meat in every bite. Unfortunately, there was an underwhelming amount of vegetables in the lo meins I ordered. You can order extra veggies but it costs m Overall, every bite was delicious even with the lack of vegetables.

Close-up of metal found in dinner combo from Crystal Jade.

DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT, EVER! I ordered 2 dinner combo's yesterday afternoon. I found a piece of metal in one of the dinners. Crystal Jade refuses to refund my order of $20.41, they wanted to know which dinner had the piece of metal. With the food being mixed up, I don't remember 100% which one had the metal in it. I asked them to replace both of the dinners, they refused. Only want to refund one of the meals. I am not going to touch either of the dinners, because I don't want to risk eating metal. Bottom line: Crystal Jade has lost me as a customer, and I'm still out 2 dinners. DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT, EVER!

Thank goodness... we still have Cecil's in the Twin Cities!!!…read more The mood, the relaxed comfortable and kind staff who do not rush you to sit rush you to order. Instead EVERYONE is 100 % natural welcoming laid back and genuine in wanting to see you content and pleased. Nothing is ever pushed onto you. The quality of the pastrami, its seasoning, the textures and bright flavors of the breads and bagels the nova the chopped liver the extra creamy marinated Cole slaw and perfect half sour pickles ( wISH they had bialys!). All perfect. All old world. Our favorite very old deli in West Palm Beach was sold 1.5 years ago and gone gone gone are the DELIGHTFUL happy charming old staff and the perfect old world flavors, cooking. In Sarasota where we just lived the last 5 years, a new deli closed after just 2 years, and there is nothing left. We've been visiting family in Sarasota every year for 40 years. Gone too in the Twin Ciries is the ownership by brothers Scot and Stu of Hopkin's beloved Crossroads Deli just last year. The new owners, a corporation owning 6-8 other restaurants have CHANGED almost all the recipes for breads, cakes , wonderous cookies and 80 % of all pastries! No more butter, no more fine ingredients and no more of their once " Grossinger's taste/quality" STELLAR seeded rye bread! They even eliminated the lemon flavoring. In their incomparable lemon coconut cake! Their stuffed cabbage is one of their only true deli dishes left. Sandwiches are half their original size...... heart breaking after going there 3-4 times a week for 25 years........ Cecil's of course had to cut back on the $$ use of butter in their pastries. But they have WORKED VERY HARD to still retain their wonderous long long ago heart warming flavors. ALL their sandwiches are AUTHENTIC. Old world New York City flavors! Made with care and love. My husband loves their beautiful generous Nova salmon platte. Noshing away happily! I love their pastrami Rachel's with plentiful half sour pickles lots of Russian dressing and creamy Cole slaw. Mmmmmm. I hope and pray Cecil's owner refrains for a long long time from selling his rare business. We must support Cecil's too.... Or lose it with all the others, and lose part of our joy and heart. Thank you Cecil's .....

Old school all the way. There's a restaurant in the back, and a full-scale deli counter in the front. It is such a good stop. They have their own private parking lot too. Packed the midweek afternoon we visited, and we did not wait for a table. Loved my bowl of Matzo Soup, superb broth and the Matzo was delicious. Enjoyed my BLT on whole wheat and the homemade potato salad was amazing! Had a cherry cobbler for dessert that was incredible. Restaurant has been open for over 70 years, and I met the owner/manager, Cecil, afterward, and he just oozes customer service being a priority. It's a must-visit place.

The ceiling is decorated with mason jars, which gives the restaurant such a unique and charming feel. The restaurant was clean, the service was excellent, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. We came to try some Minnesota specialties, including the walleye. Unfortunately, the sauce served with it contains alcohol, so I wasn't able to have it. There wasn't an alternative sauce available, so I had the fish plain. I don't think that really did the walleye justice, so it wasn't my favorite dish. Some of the other items were also a bit hit-or-miss for my personal taste, but that's more about my preferences than the quality of the food. One thing we really loved was the adorable bakery and ice cream counter at the front of the restaurant. Grabbing ice cream before we left was the perfect ending to our meal. Overall, this is a beautiful restaurant with great service and a fun atmosphere. If you're looking to try Minnesota fare in a welcoming setting, I'd definitely recommend giving it a visit.

We ordered the Minnesota Sampler, which included hot dish, chicken pot pie, and pot roast, giving us a nice variety of local favorites. The hot dish was our favorite of the three. It's hard to go wrong with a dish topped with crispy tater tots, and we really enjoyed it. The chicken pot pie and pot roast were decent, but they didn't stand out as much. One of the dishes included blue cheese, and its flavor was so strong that it overpowered the rest of the meal. Overall, the food was good and gave us a chance to try some regional specialties, but it wasn't a meal that really wowed us. It's worth a visit if you're looking to sample traditional Minnesota comfort food, but we didn't find it to be an exceptional dining experience.

I stopped in for a solo lunch around noon and received friendly, attentive service from start to finish. The hosts were welcoming, my server never made me feel rushed, and I was seated in a quiet corner of one of the side dining rooms, which I actually appreciated. The Watermelon No-Jito immediately caught my eye, and I'm glad I ordered it. It was refreshing, and I liked that it was served in the same elegant glassware as the cocktails. It made the mocktail feel just as special. I started with the Wings and chose the Chipotle Ranch for dipping. The wings were crispy, flavorful, and the Chipotle Ranch was delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the 8 oz. Filet Mignon. It wasn't cooked quite to the doneness I requested, but it was still tender and enjoyable. It comes sitting in a savory jus with garlic butter, which adds extra flavor when you dip the steak into it. The Smoked Gouda Hash Browns were absolutely delicious and ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal. To finish, I ordered the Dessert Flight, which I thought was a fun and unique option. It included Chocolate Cake, Bread Pudding, Banana Cream Pie, and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. The Banana Cream Pie was the surprise favorite. I don't usually like pie, but the caramelized banana on top won me over. Hazelwood Food + Drink has a modern, clean design with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Even around noon, just an hour and a half after opening, the restaurant was already hopping for lunch. I couldn't find parking directly in front, but there is a free parking ramp for both restaurant and hotel guests, so parking wasn't an issue. Overall, I had a great solo lunch and would definitely come back. The Watermelon No-Jito, Wings, and Dessert Flight were all worth ordering again. While I enjoyed the 8 oz. Filet Mignon, I'm not sure it was worth the $54 price tag for me. Next time, I'd skip the steak and try the Rotisserie Chicken instead. I can definitely see myself returning to Hazelwood Food + Drink.
