Moved to Bothell a couple years ago and tried this place out and loved it. Food is great and the staff is always welcoming when you come in. I have become a regular with my kids when I'm not in the mood to cook. The only reason I can not give 5 star is because the service wasn't as great as it has been in the past, just from our server himself. But I'll be back and hoping some of the other friendly staff rubs off on the few that aren't as friendly. read more

Very kid friendly local spot for a great comfort meal for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. I've brought my kiddo here a few times and the staff are very patient and entertaining. There are also books in the waiting area to entertain the kids while you wait to be seated, which is most likely on the weekends. I usually have the Malibu chicken sandwich and it is so delicious with such fresh ingredients (avocado, tomato, pickles) and Dijon dressing. I challenge anyone to find something they don't want on this menu. There is something for everyone. Homemade pies and vine ins the size of your head are available too. On a cool wintery day, request a seat near the fireplace and grab a bacon tomato grilled cheese with creamy tomato soup. Yum. I like Crystal Creek for a quick breakfast. It's pretty standard diner fare - but the staff is friendly and they get you seated quick. Our service was a touch slow last time we went, but that is rare - and it was a very busy day. I had the BLTA - which was good. The salad was a bit bland and too cold (like icy cold). Other experiences with breakfast have been better. I'll be back for more breakfasts when I'm in Bothell. read more

Breakfast was just fine. I had the huevos rancheros. There was nothing spectacular about them and if you ask me, they were a bit on the pricey side for what you got. The orange juice was good though. My lady had California Benedict and she said it was just ok. Service was friendly but not over the top. Seems like they do a good solid business here. We are from NJ the capital of Diners and this is one. Good homemade food for a good price. I had the 1/2 Meatloaf, my husband had the pot roast, my mom had the liver & onions and my dad had the 1/2 Turkey club. The portions are pretty decent. My meatloaf was 2 slices and I could only eat one. Awesome homemade soup! and Huge portion of homemade pies. With oldies playing that I was singing along to. Very pleasant atmosphere. The food was great love the chicken fried steak but service needed some work I mean the waitress was nice but after I was sat down she took for ever getting back to me to take my order. She also broke rule number one of serving she let my cup go empty she did make up for it after I had to ask for more coffee by stop by like ever 5 minutes but still you can for get about a person just because they are there by them selfs also I saw my plate under the heat lamp for a good 5 to 10 minutes before it was brought to me which that didn't bug me as much as I saw 3 different waitress look at it then walk by it and not bring it to me . My husband and I come to Crystal Creek probably 10 times a year, probably more since we also eat at their sister branches in Woodinville Cafe, Village Square Cafe (Redmond), and Issaquah Cafe! We love the food, in particular the Monte Cristo. It is amaze! We also recommend the Eggs Benedict Corned Beef Hash, and the California Omelette. They have a fantastic menu so you won't be disappointed. There can be a wait at all the locations so be prepared for that. The staff at all locations is great too. read more

OMG - PUMPKIN PANCAKES are EXCELLENT. They actually tasted like pumpkin and not just "sweeten" to taste like pumpkin. They were really soft and moist too. I was watching my waistline and my wallet so I ordered an egg and an english muffin ala carte, which I promptly put together and saved myself some $$ rather than ordering the breakfast sandwich on the menu. The coffee was refillable which was actually refilled a number of times while my friends and I leisurely chatted. We never felt rushed to leave and the server had just the right amount of attention for us. I've came here a few times and very much enjoyed the food, service and personal touch the serving staff created. Today we came to breakfast on a Sunday and they were very busy to put it lightly. They told us there would be a 45 minute wait. We sat in 30 minutes and they were very attentive. Keagan sat us and was very charming and personable making my young nieces feel very welcome and comfortable. He even got down to there level and made them excited for the food they ordered and professional to us adults. Very nice young man. Sara was our server and was on top of it. Very attractive to our requests and felt personal rather than just going through the motions. The food was timely and delicious. Again, they were absolutely slammed without an empty seat in the house and a line out the door and yet we recieved platinum service at a fair price without making us feel like we were being pushed out the door. I've tried this place for breakfast a few times over the last couple months hoping to find a stand out item or two I could really like, and just haven't. I've never had bad food or service, but neither has anything I've encountered at this Café been exemplary. The service is average, the portion sizes are average, the prices are average, and flavors are present but not terribly exciting. This place was better than expected. My waffle was delicious and perfectly cooked because it was not Belgian so it was thin and crispy on edges which is so yummy with syrup. The fresh fruit with a little whip cream on top was so tasty I wanted more. The ham steak I ordered since there was no turkey/ beef sausage(dont eat bacon) is not something I would usually eat but it was not too "porky" and was great with the rest of the meal. We've lived in Bothell for 8 years, and we visited Crystal Creek for the 1st time this evening. I don't know why it took us so long, but we're glad we tried it. We arrived at about 7.30p on a Friday and it was packed, but we only had to wait about 5 min before being seated. The kids had French toast and pancakes, they devoured it all and exclaimed that it was soooo good. I had the fish and chips and they were a lot better than I expected. Crispy coating, not greasy, flaky cod. My non fish eating kids tried a bite and said that they'd order that next time. My husband ordered the blue cheeseburger and wasn't too impressed with it, but finished it all none the less. The clam chowder was decent, but don't know if I'd order it again. I'm not sure if it was too salty(?), and a little on the watery side. Our server was delightful and helpful, but busy (understandably due to the crowd of folks - literally every table was taken and it's a pretty big restaurant). We were too full for dessert, but nabbed a couple slices of blackberry pie and a HUGE cinnamon roll to try later. I'd recommend this place if you want something close to comfort/homemade food. I have been disappointed by many restaurants in the PNW, the common theme being so many seem to specialize in mediocrity. This place had 4 stars and lots of reviews.... This place was no exception. In fact it was mediocrity at its best! Which seems contrary to what one would think considering the hoards of people and the huge line of patrons waiting. Coffee watered down, syrup watery, food barely warm when it arrived. The hash with uncooked onions and non crispy potatoes was not good. The onion was overwhelming in this dish. Gravy on biscuit was bland. That was the food. Cook in the window was chewing gum on the line. Server poured left over drinks down the hand washing sink out front. Young lady pouring cream into the stainless steel whipping cream chargers was getting them set up and ready - by shaking them and pressing the trigger to get the cream started, all good. She squeezed it over a trash can, all good. Then she used the edge of the trash can to scrape the residual cream off the nozzle of the charger, and placed them in the fridge - not good, super disgusting. She could have used a clean towel to wipe the nozzle. This was just my observation sitting at the front counter. I shutter to think what kind of other food safety violations go on in the back! The only positive in this place was friendly service and they cranked out food. That's it. read more

Came in and asked for a table for 3. Waited for approx. 15mins and when it was our turn, they wudn't sit us becoz our third hadn't arrived yet and proceeded to sit other groups that came after us. Worst place ever! I just went there and walked out. First off, there is a waitress there who has a horrible attitude. It was only me and there was a wait for a table. So I asked if I could sit at the counter and she said whatever to me. I sat down and not one wait staff asked if I wanted water or coffee. I waited 8 minutes and no one came.
