WOW!!!! What an amazing place. The beer is to die for. Ive never had an IPA so smooth and as enjoyable as Half Hitch. The food was also fantastic.The meat was so tender and flavorful. Overall a wonderful environment. The service was wonderful. Very nice people. It was very busy when we went. We had just left Atlas Cider and it wasn't as busy as Crux was. Parking was impossible. We figured it out though. Probably my favorite brewery in Bend so far. I purchased some bottles and a cap to go. Overall a wonderful day at two great local breweries. Cannot wait to explore the other hidden gems Bend has to offer! read more

The staff at Crux is really terrific, as are their Covid cleaning practices (right down to having a freshly cleaned stylus for each customer at checkout and social circles outlined on the lawn). Surely can NOT say the same for customers. Kids were running in swarms right near everyone (i.e., being normal kids) while parents ignored them. And clearly, some patrons had had a few too many beers. Their sense of "care" was sorely lacking. Sad to see that too many missed the spirit of Keep Bend Open and safe. Wonderful restaurant and great location. Immediately found a table inside in a Friday night. Enjoyed the beautiful, pine plank table and the diversity of beers and ciders. Had the pretzel and dip appetizer and both were amazing. Ordered the pork belly sandwich (to rave about!) and the chicken bacon sandwich. It was also amazing! We stopped in here tonight at the last minute and I'm thrilled we did! Upon pulling into the parking lot we could see that the place was hopping but the sign on the door said closed on Mondays. After checking with a server that it wasn't a private party we found the last picnic table outside free. There was a Sancho's taco truck for food (because the kitchen was actually closed) and their tacos are AMAZING! The beers at Crux were all good. We tried the sampler and appreciated being able to choose our selections. I especially liked the French Collection IPA. Great family friendly atmosphere, fantastic beers and tacos. LOVE THIS PLACE! Taco stand is awesome, the beer selection is almost overwhelming huge and its all excellent. Indoor seating is cozy, outdoor seating feels like a giant party. Yard games abound. Couple things I don't like. Its kind of hard to get to, you have to KNOW where it is. Parking lot gets overloaded quickly and the street side parking is dubious at best. BBQ truck is brutally expensive. Other than those relatively minor flaws (use your GPS and be willing to take a little walk to get some tacos and beer), its an excellent joint. read more

Crux has some amazing beer. Their own chicken pot pie is delicious and a different take from the normal as the filling is cooked up separate and then bake in a cast iron skillet with a flaky crust on top. But... for the price, $12, it's not worth it. It is delicious, but for the size honestly should be $6-$8. But.. on the plus side, most days Sanchos has a taco hut on the grounds of Crux and holy crap those are good tacos. So, in summary - Crux beer, Sanchos tacos, win. read more

It was my first time at Crux, this place is recommended to us by friends. Really great beer the lemon drop was my favorite. It was fruity and refreshing. Love the growler they have there such a bad ass growler. We ended up buying a couple to take them home for friends. Kind of expensive but they were so worth it! read more

Since the new addition the change in ordering at the counter and first come first serve for tables with no hostess or check in really has made the overall experience at Crux inconvenient and overall disappointing. We have frequented Crux many times and have never been so disappointed in service since our most recent time there right after the dining addition and service change. I hope management reads the yelp reviews and sees that they need to bring back a hostess and wait staff the way it used to be, I won't be back unless I hear changes are made, there is simply too many people that enjoy Crux to make the service with no wait staff or hostess and leave it up to the customers to find a table and leave it to order food at the counter and drinks at another counter, makes no sense... read more

We tried to go twice. Each time there was a long line and after waiting for 20 minutes, no on from Crux came out to help anyone or communicate wait times. There were numerous parties that had left and the line didn't move. COVID times are hard but we've been to other breweries who had staff communicating wait times and had a waitlist. the beer selection is great, lots of choices on tap. that being said, i didn't think the flavor stood out or was up to par with some of the other brews i've had in bend. they do allow dogs on the outdoor patio which is pretty great, a couple food trucks and some cornhole are great on a sunny day. great views of the mountains from the outdoor picnic tables as well! definitely worth a stop on the bend ale trail. read more

Crux has a large park like are with picnic tables, lawn games and food trucks perfect for bringing your dog with you! The Tough Love Stout is amazing - smooth and tasty. They actually have a number of stouts, which is unusual. The bartenders (Kristen in particular) are very courteous and friendly. The place has a very open and friendly. There is a hopping feel about the place without it being too loud. I was here by myself but I would have been able to talk to anyone without having to shout. The Veggie Sandwich with eggplant and pesto is really good - and they have a gluten free option! They replaced my potato chips with a side salad (a good side salad with veggies and yummy vinaigrette dressing mind you) with no question at all.
