Crush XL is probably one of the best restaurants in Melbourne serving fresh ingredients and great cocktails. Went with some appetizers and the Bacon wrapped dates were a hit! Classics salty sweet combination made for a great way to open the palate. For the entree, I had the Sriracha Marinated Flat Iron with avocado mashed potatoes. The steak was seasoned perfectly and the avocado mash was creamy and very tasty. I have to steal this idea and make this at home. Our server was very friendly and served our party perfectly. The environment in the restaurant is modern with nice pops of the signature Crush color. Overall an awesome experience for anytime lookin for great food in Melbourne.
Contemporary American in Downtown Melbourne's Flatiron Building The menu features carefully crafted dishes in a warm atmosphere with professional service. This is a place you can count on for a special night out. We started with the Medjool Dates and Salmon Crispy Rice. Both were fantastic "snacks" to start the meal off right. For entrees we ordered the Grouper Fresh Catch and Salmon. The Grouper had us at curtido, and the Salmon had us at coconut curry. Both of these dishes were top tier, truly phenomenal dishes.
Crush is a nice restaurant located in downtown Melbourne. It is a good place to bring family and friends or just a date for an evening of good food and great service. We started our meal with cocktails consisting of blackberry and Serrano chili in the style of a margarita, they were fresh and well prepared. We had Caesar salads for starters and an onion tart which was very good. Our mains consisted of artichoke mushroom fettuccini also very good and the fish of the day blackened grouper served in a style I would categorize as Caribbean The real standout dish was the creamy shrimp orecchiette with andouille, so spicy and delicious! This was my third time here, it never disappoints
This is absolutely the place to be. The ambiance is fantastic, and the staff are incredible--attentive, knowledgeable, and they make you feel like family. I had an amazing experience and will definitely be coming back. If I could give more stars, I would! The food was delicious as well.
First the gentlemen Cameron was our server and althrough out our dining experience was very knowledgable of the dishes and wines and the tastes of the dishes. My son had the famous burger there and I had the 8 ounce filet and substituted the veggie for their famous collard greens, does have an upcharge for it for a few dollars but was doable. We topped off Fathers day with the Creme Brulee and it was fantastic. I cannot name one bad or wrong thing about this place. Yes it is expensive but it was Fathers Day and it was WELL worth it. The ambiance is very nice in there and dress code would be least a nice blouse and trousers not a flip flop place.
We went Crush XI in downtown Melbourne in hopes of impressing my brother who's a legit foodie . I even looked up words like gastrique, panzanella, and fettuccini with philosophical intent to order aggressively since it was his turn for the check . I really just went for the insutution of bacon wrapped dates supervised by my wife and is girlfriend (two different people). The Medjool dates with millionaire bacon and goat cheese and I am not exaggerating when I say this dish could solve international conflicts. Sweet pineapple, salty bacon, creamy goat cheese, and a drizzle of what tasted like the chef whispering sweet nothings the way I'm romantic. I was going to order a second dose for "research purposes." Truffle Honey Chicken Tenders (Not Your Childhood Lunchbox) is the most misleading name ever because "tenders" sounds like something you eat in a drive thru parking lot (I'd pick Bojangles of course). These were crispy, sticky, sweet, slightly spicy, and basically the PhD version of chicken fingers a bit dry but the sauce make it good. Brussels sprouts usually remind people of childhood trauma. These charred brussels sprouts with honey, soy, ginger, and peanuts tasted like the chef personally apologized to every person who had ever been forced to eat boiled vegetables in 1987. Smoky, sticky, crunchy, slightly sweet. I would willingly eat vegetables here again, which is a sentence I never thought I would say out loud! We build a strategy to devide an conquer in a unique waiter (I hate the name server, it sounds like tennis) recommendation that was impressive! My brother ordered the heritage pork chop, which looked like it had been bench pressing in the kitchen before arriving at the table. Perfect crust, juicy inside, sitting on sweet potato hash with a slaw piled on top like a fashionable hat and I went with the snapper catch of th day for a surf and turf combo! I considered banging on the door at 3 am for another dose of pork chop like I was in college and wanted the party to go on My brother was impressed with the Blackbird Arise that showed up like it owned the table. He said it was smooth, bold, and dangerous because it makes you start considering dessert when you absolutely do not need dessert. I don't drink so I take his word for it. The women weren't behaving so thy split a smash burger and truffle fries, which means our ordering strategy was clearly "yes." The burger had that glossy brioche bun that looks like it was polished before serving, and the fries were exactly the kind that disappear before you realize you have eaten most of them. A smash burger is supposed to drip greese down your arm and this didn't. This strategy ensured my spot on the couch for bedtime. If you go, order two doses of the dates so you don't have to bring a date.
I met two friends here on a Saturday around 12:30 and was surprised to find the restaurant nearly empty, especially for what would normally be considered a holiday weekend. We were seated and greeted promptly, and our waiter was pleasant and attentive, frequently refilling our water. One curious note, not really a complain, was how long it took to receive our Diet Cokes and subsequent refills. Just an amusingly long wait time. The pricing and decor lean toward a slightly more upscale dining experience. Two of us ordered the brunch burger with truffle fries, and one ordered the traditional breakfast. Everyone was very happy with their meals. The truffle fries were excellent, and the burger was juicy and well prepared. Although it didn't affect our orders, they were out of the poblano potatoes, salmon, and crab cakes. I imagine that could be disappointing for some guests, but the waiter was upfront about it, which I really appreciated. I hope the lack of customers was just an anomaly, because it's a nice addition to downtown Melbourne and the food was genuinely good.
What a beautiful night. Service was wonderful. Nicole was so great and personable. Couldn't recommend any more based on service alone. I have to eat GF and they were more than accommodating and knowledgeable. The food was good. I opted for the dates and the pork-chop entree. It was a tad saltier tasting than I prefer but I am sure that is a "me thing". Finally, I always check out the French 75 cocktail at new places. This did not disappoint! Easily one of the top 3 I had had! Will certainly come back next time I am in town.
Came in for drinks and small bites without RSVP and sat at the bar. Stu, the bartender was friendly and gave some good notes and recommendations on their cocktail selection, and we ultimately went with a gin sour and an espresso martini! Both were fantastic and definitely worth the price! Well crafted and balanced with flavor/alcohol. Bryan the GM also came by to check on us, and he was very friendly - making sure we were enjoying everything! Would split some fries and risotto which was delicious, so I would definitely come back for dinner. Great vibes and staff here! Would be good for date nights or celebrations in a group!
Doug was an awesome server! We enjoyed the drinks and the food. The area of the restaurant is very cute and walkable. However, I ended up getting food poisoning from the duck fettuccine. Did anyone else dine there on 8/30 and feel sick the next day? I'm still so nauseas and sick 2 days later
Torn about this review. Came here based on the amazing reviews and initially was happy with the choice. The hostess was very accommodating with our seat selection and I was very happy with the ambiance of the restaurant. Our waiter, Matthew, was extremely polite and attentive. The only hiccup was with the appetizer order. We ordered the corn crab fritters and the onion tart. I don't eat pork and there was no mention of pork on the corn crab fitters. However as I chowed down on the fritters in the dim light of the restaurant I noticed the crab cakes were covered in crumbled bacon. Not the way I wanted to start my night. This turned me off for the rest of the meal and we ended up leaving. Matthew was extremely apologetic. We'd come back, but Next time I'll make sure to question all menu items.
What an amazing experience. I couldn't have been happier with how special everyone made us feel. It was me and my husband's 9 year wedding anniversary and we were celebrating the fact that we are expecting! Everyone was kind enough to sign a anniversary card for us and treat us with a special drink to celebrate. Service was 5 stars! The food was great! I had also gotten the grab cake but forgot to take a picture of it. It definitely had a kick but the flavors were there. The Brussel sprouts were amazing and the flavor of the steak was out of this world! We will be coming again

Went here for a date night with my boyfriend last night. We paid a little over $100 for one drink (French75), one appetizer (pimiento cheese), one side (mashed potatoes), and two entrees (one was Mahi Mahi, and the other was the Duck Fettucine). Presentation was spectacular- the plate could not have been more beautiful. You get a pretty good portion size, and the flavors seemed to be well-paired. I included pictures for reference. Unfortunately, the food was oily. The mashed potatoes were very salty. The entrees were missing the "wow" factor for $35. The atmosphere is beautiful, but the food is nothing to write home about. read more
Sunday Funday brought us to Crush XI in Downtown Historic Melbourne. We enjoyed the freshest tomato juice ( made from scratch that morning) in a spicy and flavourful cocktail. I love watching a Mixologist at work and she gave us a great show as she torched the asparagus garnish before serving. Bartender was attentive and friendly and gave us lots of tips for the menu. I've eaten here several times and can't believe I haven't reviewed them! IMO Crush is one of the top 5 places to eat locally. read more

One of the best dining experiences we have had in the Melbourne area. In Old Town Melbourne this street side venue is fresh, clean and crisp in it's decor with an upscale vibe. The cheese board appy was an excellent share plate for the four of us although we had to ask for extra crostini bread(for which they charged us a dollar)! Our entrees were artfully presented: catch of the day ( lightly breaded golden tile fish), duck breast, and crispy skin salmon. The entrees and service were muy bueno. Drinks were a little pricey even for run of the mill options like Pinot Grigio and a vodka martini from the well. Dessert and espresso were good including a strawberry shortcake that had bacon in the biscuit! So I recommend it for those who have the cash to burn for it is a $$$ kind of place and the entrees though very good are not large enough to share. We'll return when feelin flush! read more

Great experience! The bartender, who's name I can't remember was top notch. She was patient & gave me recommendations. She didn't mind explaining the ingredients or answering my questions. Their happy hour is nice. $5 & $7 drinks & she made my drinks correctly. I can be picky bc I don't like to drink my calories. (Not difficult but picky :) The happy hour food menu could offer a few more dishes. I enjoyed the crab cake, it was flavorful with a nice texture. I just wish there was more, it was gone in like 3 bites. The hummus was my fav. I love that it came with asparagus & fried cauliflower instead of the usual carrots & celery. So delicious, a lot of flavor in the hummus. I'm def a fan! The Thai slaw, I couldn't get past the candied ginger mixed throughout. I'm pretty sure I could've excluded the coconut they put on top. My only complaint is a lot of their sides include meat. The brussel sprouts have bacon & the beans & rice have ham. I'll have to stick to a salad or skillet veggies (as a side). Nonetheless, this will be my weekly happy hour. read more

Can't recommend this place enough. Our experience here was top notch. Had the crab cake, dates and Brie to start. Can't pick one over the other. Meatiest crab cake I've ever had and the flavor was outstanding. The bacon wrapped dates had just the right amount of sweet and salty. The Brie was cooked perfectly and was paired with three options for spreading. The fish of the day was grouper and as it's one of my favorite fish to have fresh I just had to order it. It did not disappoint. Emory had explained the dish perfectly so I was not surprised to taste the heat. All the food was presented like works of art. The vibe of this place is young and hip but also cosy enough with its multiple eating spaces. Will definitely eat here again whenever I'm in the area. read more

Hands down the BEST place to eat in Brevard County. The drinks, the service, the food! It is pricey but absolutely worth it. My wife and I will be returning and we will always be asking for Kurt to serve us. He was so helpful and made the experience so much better! Looking forward so going there again. read more
As well, go through life working and striving to achieve our goals; I think it's essential to have those places where you're able to sit back and let the joy of your accomplishments settle in for a brief moment. Such an area needs to be unique with fantastic service and food that is worth fighting for. Crush 11 does just that; it crushed all of my expectations and completely blew my mind! The food was terrific, the service was spot on, but the ambiance was very relaxing and calm. You had that slightly fancy yet relaxed vibe. The staff was ready at a moment's notice and were able to make any adjustment that was needed to make your experience memorable! Excellent fare and top notch service! Our server was so efficient and was supported by a floor manager and the Owner. They were super attentive, it was impressive, so when the food arrived we were doubly impressed ! We tried the street corn, the salmon, Thai noodle salad and the shrimp & grits. We were already talking about our next meal here before we finished our current one. This is now our favorite restaurant in the area! read more

Was here from out of town to see some friends, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time, drinks, and meals. The drink menu was expansive and everyone enjoyed their drinks. I had the Flat Iron, which was cooked to perfection. Our server Reese did a phenomenal job, and I would recommend a visit to anyone in the area. read more
First time I have ever been to Crush XI and I am so glad I tried it! The restaurant is way bigger than I thought it was but because it has multiple rooms it still feels quaint. The service was good, not amazing but we got everything in a reasonable amount of time. We grab lunch on a Saturday and had no wait in getting a table. I ordered the sangria which was very good and the perfect amount of sweet. For food I ordered the California chicken BLT which was very good! For a grilled chicken sandwich it had lots of flavor, and they used great bread. I also ordered the Thai coleslaw which also had amazing flavor! The peanut sauce gave mixed with the texture of the slaw was a perfect combination. I would however not recommend pairing the coleslaw with the California BLT, the two both have great flavor they just don't have flavors that complement each other. All in all I will be back and next time I will be trying the fries with the sandwich! read more

Always delicious and I guess I'm too hungry to remember to take photos. The drinks though...the drinks are incredible. It's a great food and drink experience with some interesting artwork. We've been going to Crush for several years now, even celebrated New Years Eve with them. Each and every time our service is on point. Friendly, attentive, and personable. They have some outdoor seating as well as indoor. They can accommodate larger parties or intimate tables. It has nice ambiance and the menu changes with the seasons. Fresh seafood, vegan, and vegetarian dishes. Their is something for everyone here. All dishes are delicious and we have never been disappointed. Lastly, they have excellent wines and cocktails to choose from. Prices reflect the quality of service and food. read more

Cozy atmosphere. It's probably romantic at night time how the decor is. Went in for Brunch. Service was good, attentive but not overbearing or hovering. Matt was our server, he was knowledgable with the menu. I ordered a mocktail, the chili pineapple lime soda. Wow! So flavorful & refreshing with a hint of spice from Serrano pepper at the end. I got the crab cake benedict. It was delish!! So much crab & egg was perfectly poached. It didn't come over an english muffin like normal benedict but I was ok with that. I also had their house salad with a chili lime vinaigrette on the side. What a flavorful dressing!! My husband had the brunch burger with poblano potatoes. It's a smash burger with 2 meat patties topped with cheese & a fried egg on top. It was ok. Nothing special about it. Potatoes were dry & overcooked. Overall, I would recommend this place. They have a great craft cocktail list even tho we didn't drink any alcohol during our brunch. read more
We were meeting friends in Downtown Melbourne and had heard good things about Crush XI and we were able to make a reservation last minute which worked out since we we got there it started to pick up quick. The first thing that caught me off guard was how big this place is. It was made of multiple different rooms so if your party doesn't come in all together you might have a hard time finding them. Our waiter quickly came and got us drinks. I was surprised by the amount of beers and bourbon they had and I always enjoy checking those menus out which is nice. For my meal I went with the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. The fact the it comes with Pimento Cheese on it was the selling point for me. For my side I just went with the fries. I was considering the Peanut Thai Slaw but once I heard my wife was getting it I know I would be able to get at least a bite. Our food came out quickly and my Chicken Sandwich looked great. If even had 2 pieces for fried chicken on it. I will say with Pimento Cheese and Pickled Cherry Jam it can be a little messy but the flavor is all there. Everyone really enjoyed their food. our 2 friends bother got burgers which they loved and Ashley also raved about her as she called it "Healthy" California Chicken BLT. I also enjoyed the Peanut Thai Slaw. Though it wasn't go as well with fried chicken as it did with grilled chicken. Needless to say all their sandwiches are a hit! read more

The duck, when asked, is cooked to medium rare but what I was served was a thin outside sear. The kitchen staff were new so our meals came out very staggered. That duck was vile with a horrible texture so I appreciated them offering to take it back and cook it further, but I didn't want to be rude to my family waiting to dig in. I haven't heard of cooking poultry to temperatures in a range like beef is before and I'm unsure if was medium rare at that. I'm rating this place four stars because of the honesty about the new cook staff, offer to cook the meat to a normal temperature, and free dessert. The other party members' dishes as were the appetizers and drinks. Maybe I'm low-class and don't know how duck is prepared but the point is they did accommodate that. The atmosphere is farm-like and the dining room feels like a dining room versus a commercial money-making settlement. It's in downtown Melbourne so it comes with that benefit, too. read more

Definitely a must try... everything is great from the moment you enter. The decor and ambience set the tone for the amazing food and drinks that follow. Handcrafted cocktails, high quality entrees, and apps! We got the crab cake benedict and the steak and eggs. Steak was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were crispy and tasty. The benedict just melted in your mouth. I recommend requesting Stu as your bartender.. you won't be disappointed! read more

Pick this place out because it looked like a good sit down restaurant in Melbourne downtown proper. The food looked appealing on the menu but when we got there they had additional items that they brought back. The food was great and the service was even better this is a place that you definitely want to return to in the evening with a date I loved it will definitely be back read more

Excellent upscale American gastropub style restaurant. Quaint little place with cute old furniture about. Reminds me of dining in Great Aunt Gertrude's Victorian dining room (in a good way!). Look into their craft cocktail menu and get yourself a nice drink. I personally got the lamb meat ball (singular) that had a nice Persian flare to it. The roast duck breast was excellent, not too chewy and roast just right with a pink middle. I also recommend the street corn (elote in a skillet instead of a cup). The house speciality side dish is apparently the duck fat fries. Look into those as well. I skipped the dessert menu personally but it looked amazing! Just an FYI this place is only street parking and in the evenings (especially) weekends you may be parking a few blocks away and walking. Not the end of the world with the nice Florida weather, and you can always find a free spot, it just might be 2-6 blocks away.. read more

We truly enjoyed our first experience at Crush, our server was very friendly and recommended a glass of the Round Pond Cabernet Sauvignon which ended up being a great choice! We started with the duck fat seared scallops and they were absolutely delicious, we then went on to having the shrimp orecchiette (which is spicy but a must if you enjoy a nice kick), the smoked duck fettuccine which must of been good because my fiancé finished every bite and shared a side of the Brussels sprouts and Thai peanut slaw (both delicious). We will definitely be back and are making sure to try out their whiskey flights and Nashville hot duck tenders. read more

Loved everything about it. Great location. Chic southern decor. Great menu. Very professional and friendly wait staff. Delicious food. Didn't try the drinks but they looked spectacular. The brussel spouts starter was to die for. My husbands burger an A- and my chicken club an A- but very good and well priced. Their french fries were yummy. Interesting desserts. We had a chocolate cake with popcorn ice cream and popped caramel popcorn on top. Very innovative and fun - would have tasted better with the cake heated. Great vibe. Would come again. Check it out! What was that spot previously called?
Is there any parking?
Parking along the side of the street or there is a free parking garage nearby and it's a short walk to the restaurant. I have never had any issues finding parking in front of the building along the street.
Good morning, I would like to dine on the patio with my emotional support dog, would this be ok?
They have a few tables outside on their patio and you can absolutely bring your dog. Many people do this. Enjoy!
