Seafood fettuccine
Brenda L.

Updated to reflect the correct cheese below! My boyfriend made reservations here while we were on vacation. First it is located in the heart of downtown Angels Camp. A cute little strip that takes you back in time. Street Parking was easy at night as most of the shops are closed. The staff here anticipate your needs and are efficient and kind. We started with bread and the Burrata and prosciutto appetizer. While tasty, the pieces of Burrata were small and it was overwhelmed by the lettuce and arugula. When the main portion of the appetizer has this name you do expect a bit more of it. That was the only miss of the night. Both the seafood fettuccine and fettuccine Alfredo were delicious. We ordered the special dessert to go. It was a peach cheesecake. It was ok but wish we would have ordered their more traditional desserts of crème brûlée or tiramisu. We will have to try them next visit. Overall a nice quiet dinner that left us satisfied!

Perfect date night restaurant for Italian food and good service. Baked brie was good as expected, with all the yummy fixins. Polenta antonella was creamy and flavorful and very cheesy. It's not what I would usually get at an Italian restaurant but it was worth it! You can also get vegetarian versions of the polenta, but I need meat on mine! For dessert, I had the tiramisu-which was perfect.

Baked Brie

I had the Baked Brie which I thought was pretty darn good with the toasted bread that accompanied it. I opted for the Jambalaya. It wasn't bad but there were only two pieces of shrimp and I thought they over used the pepper. Otherwise it was alright. The service was acceptable. I had a taste of the spaghetti and meatballs and was impressed with the meatballs. Seems to me they use veal as it was so moist and flavorful. It came with four smallish meatballs. The building was old as this is Angels Camp after all. I did like the interior. I'd come back and try something different.

Chicken and tortellini with added sausages

This was seriously some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten!! We ordered to-go, and the wonderful girl over the phone was not only nice, but she seemed to love her job! We ordered two of the chicken tortellini and got one without mushrooms, and ordered hot sausage on the side for hubby to add sausage to his. We also got a side of focaccia bread and when dipped in the vinegar/oil mix: holy yum!! The last thing we ordered was the baked brie which was the absolute best! It comes with an amazing orange sauce reduction, sliced pears, cranberries and walnuts, and crispy sliced bread.. all I can say is WOW!! This place did not disappoint! even taking it to go, we got back to our hotel and everything was still warm and amazingly delicious! Don't delay!! Eat there NOW! The restaurant itself looks like a fun and friendly place to sit and eat, calm and relaxed.

We had our anniversary dinner here in Angels Camp. It's a very lovely restaurant with a San Francisco vibe. The food was delicious and the wait staff very attentive. We had a cheddar cheese fondue start. The special was a huge pork chop, which my husband selected. I had the steak. Both were well prepared and the presentation was beautiful. The atmosphere was inviting for the occasion. We sat next to the fireplace with just the right amount of lighting. We don't drink wine but they had quite the list. We had the hard apple cider instead. It was very much like champagne. If you want a little getaway for a special occasion and don't want the crowded, dirty streets of San Francisco, come here!

Visited Angels Camp California for the first time, and this restaurant was highly recommended. The entire Main St. was shut down (around 6 pm. on a Sunday) except for this restaurant, it seemed. Staff was friendly, and our waiter laughed at our bad jokes - bless him, lol. The food was excellent! We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, seafood fettuccine, and the ahi appetizer special, and everything was cooked well and very flavorful. We had to order the tiramisu to go, and it was heavenly. It's definitely recommended if you are ever in the Angels Camp/ Murphy California area!

Ask for Colleen [5] - The Chefs made me their Neptune Fettucine - the cream sauce was perfectly cheesey and thick and I ordered extra fresh pepper just because - the scallops, shrimp and crab were ALL perfectly tender, expertly sautéed and seasoned. For dessert, Colleen sold me on the Bread Pudding with fresh berries and cream drizzle and a cup of coffee for the road. What I love best about Crusco's is hearing laughter from the kitchen - Life is crummy some days, but hearing joy from the kitchen reassures me Cooks love preparing excellent meals over a hot stove. Very comfortable family-style, relaxed gold country flair - Looking forward to my return trip to Angel's Camp and Crusco's.

Key lime pie slice Brownie w/ ice cream

Delicious! We try and go here once a month for date night and we are never let down! I always get the spaghetti and meatballs, so yummy and really fills you up! My fiancé gets the salmon every time and always raves about it. We've also tried the brownie and key lime pie for dessert which were both good. Service is quick, we have the same waitress every time and she's very attentive, just never seems too happy/smiley? Overall definitely recommend this place, it's not overly fancy so you can dress up or down, I think it's fun to have a reason to dress up tho!

It was a very good choice, busy cranking out the tunes, the pizzas and happy faces left and right. I liked the place it's been here for years and it shows it's age tirelessly. Bench seating with tables for the overflow. A large video arcade room for the kids, not quite astroids and pac-man but those were the days. Walk ups and order from the flat screen menus Pizza, sandwiches, and salads you get the idea. I Ordered a thin crust pie with pepperoni, artichoke, black olives, and sliced tomatoes. The push the pies through an impinger oven not my favorite but it is basically idiot proof and fast and that works here. Orders a salad bar trip and we shared the salad,. Plenty of good toppings not just the cheep no-one eats it toppings. The leaf mix was very good, weeds or romaine/ iceburg / spinach. I'm made it a two trip salad bar. Pizza was out in a bout 20 minutes, ok maybe 18 minutes Hot and Fresh no waiting it was oven to table as fast as you possibly could walk it. There ya go, we left two slices for the dog and took our walk back in the cool Angel Camp evening, full and happy with our choice. Foodguy-Martin

Full of high dollar tasting ingredients. They were good. The dough and crust - would definitely be better a little crispier, but good. Service: was good. The owner was welcoming. Seems hands on making the place feel like a nice local pizza spot. Overall - great pizza after a adventurous day in Angeles Camp. Will definitely be stopping here again when visiting the area. Then, came a long wait for a server to come. Once they did, after tables who had been seated after us, they offered us water that also took a long time. One of our servers was so kind, I didn't catch her name, but she brought our water and took our orders very efficiently, but was friendly. We ordered the fried cauliflower and alchemy burgers. Once the cauliflower came, our waiter told us that a cook had walked out mid-dinner rush had left them low on production. This didn't really explain the wait for service but we understood. I didn't get photos of the burgers when they came, because our table was pretty hungry after the long wait! The presentation of the food was ok but the food itself was pretty delicious. The fries were very flavorful and the burgers were cooked a perfect medium rare. We also got a butter pecan sundae that was very large, but good. If the food and that one waiter had not been so good, I would probably take more stars. If you are going to come here, I recommend having a lot of time and patience. 5 stars for the food, 2 stars for the service. Knowing this, I would be tentative to come back if we got the same experience in terms of service.

Even though it was late on a Tuesday the patio was still busy. We got a nice table outside because it was a beautiful day and we had our GSD with us. Shared the beet salad and the chicken burrito and also a kids hamburger with fries for the pup ( fries were for us). PROTIP: We took the option to split each dish by the kitchen and although it cost a couple bucks more, you get a little more of everything! Beet salad was solid with perfect allocations of all ingredients. I would say it was a bit heavy on the dressing but I like minimal dressing and my partner said it was perfect so there you go. The burrito was "wet" and delicious! Lots of flavor fresh ingredients and very saucy. Only thing it lacked was a little heat. Ask for tapatio if you like a little spice. The hamburger by the way, was larger than a normal hamburger you get on the kiddie menu. And the fries were piping hot and fresh. Our dog loved the burger as he should and we downed all the fries. Highly recommend and will be back!

Came for the burger :)…read more My husband and I live in the East Bay and wanted to go on a lil drive. We decided on Murphy's for the Watering Hole burger which did not disappoint. We ordered 2 Double Cheese Burgers, the Broccoli Bacon Ranch Salad and an order of French Fries that included a side of ranch. All of what we ordered was delicious. The burgers come with double patties and are grilled along with the onions, the bun lightly toasted, soft and sweet and included a smear of 1,000 dressing. The burgers have 2 different types of cheese, fresh crispy shredded lettuce, pickles and sliced ripe tomato. It is the perfect combination and proportions of all ingredients. The Broccoli Bacon Ranch salad was not like anything I have had before and was a nice surprise to our taste buds. The salad included fresh bell peppers both yellow and red. It also had pickled onions, sunflower seeds, bacon and blue cheese that was all tossed together with ranch dressing which made it very convenient and easy to eat. Last but not least, the French Fries. They included a nice seasoning on the outside for a crispy texture and a creamy inside which I love. I liked the fact that they serve the fries with homemsde ranch and I didnt even have to ask for it...it's the little things for me. We sat inside to dine, I enjoyed seeing what others were eating, of course lots of burgers but also ribs, pasta, chicken sandwiches, salads and even cheese cake for dessert. I like that the menu offered a variety of options and brought great value for the quality and care that you can taste in every bite! I did not notice any issues with service as I saw other reviews reported. I would say that the inside, although cozy was a bit loud while others socialize. I think it was simply the high ceilings that carry the noise. The outside seating area is another option and is very nice as it's next to a stream which we would have chosen if it hadn't been 57° outside that day.
