The estimate was in line with the other companies I reached out to but they were the only company that provided a time estimate, and that was really helpful for me to feel like I could truly get an idea of my likely final cost range (assuming I didn't add anything major to my moving list). Booking was easy and done entirely online and then via email and text message for confirmations. My movers were Luca and Alpha. The called about 40 minutes before the start time to let me know their ETA, which was actually about 10 minutes before the arrival window started so we were off to a great start. Moving day is always nerve-wracking and adding strangers into the mix can be unpredictable, but they both took the time to introduce themselves by name and were so polite, kind, and calm right off the bat that it was a huge relief. We did a quick walkthrough of the house and they asked for clarifications or more information at times, which was great because I felt like they were really listening and paying attention to my comments and concerns. Then the move itself was smooth and uneventful. I didn't have any concerns about my furniture because I saw them wrapping everything up securely. At one point, a screw came loose from one of my table legs. Alpha found me to ask if I knew about any issues with the legs on that table. I told him it was a second-hand table so I wasn't sure, but asked if it was a big issue. He said no, and that he could put the screw back in, but he wanted other make sure I knew it had happened. I know that's partially because they don't want to be blamed for something they didn't do, but I still appreciated that they called it to my attention right away so there weren't any issues or questions later, and that he was able to fix it for me. Once we got to the new place, they took the time to ask where I wanted specific furniture or boxes to go in my new place so that I wouldn't have to move it all to a different room later. They wrapped up just a little ahead of the estimated time and it was super convenient to pay with Venmo. All-in-all it was a great experience and I'd use them again if I'm moving in the area.

Never in my life have I ever been so impressed with the work done for me, and the care that they gave all of my belongings. They were intelligent, motivated, efficient, careful, personable, respectful, and expert. And, although at first, I tried to help, I soon became aware that I was just getting in their way. All I could do is watch and learn. How to wrap and protect furniture (and walls). How to load a dozen or more packed moving moxes into a huge (refrigerator sized) box set on top of 2 dollies - to be rolled from my condo, down a maze of hallways, ouside into the moving truck. Gawd, I was SO relieved to see that my life's belongings were in very conscientious hands. Long story short, there was no doubt I called the right movers. Vlad and Alex were simply magnificent. To protect my personal safety and under midnight duress, I had to force them to accept a credit card. This is a direct violation of the Maryland Household Goods Movers Act pricing caps. I have filed fraud and predatory billing disputes with the Maryland Attorney General, and the FMCSA. Avoid Movers On The Way & Storage at all costs!

Driver struggled with the final math, forgot to charge me for an hour of travel time and had to make an extra payment.

Both moves were transfers within my apartment building. In response to my request to get the same team if possible, the new three-person team had the same foreman as the previous three-person team. They once again did an excellent job - called in advance, arrived early, and worked very quickly and efficiently. The foreman planned well which items should be moved between the two apartments in each trip to minimize the number of trips and the work time. The team members were both friendly and professional. As with my previous move, the cost of the job came in well under the estimate due to the team's speedy work. My two experiences with NewRay have been a refreshing contrast to my experiences with other movers over the years. I plan to continue to use them for any future moves.

Beds, sectionals, and other furniture that had to be broken down, was broken down by the movers and reassembled at the new location. Some things I didn't know could be broken down were also broken down and reassembled.
