***Lodestar Rd Location*** Extremely disappointed. Went specifically for the fried mortadella sandwich, it's not offered at that location. The pizza was severely undercooked. The dough was wet and mushy (see photos). I put it in my oven to harden it and I think it just ruined it even more. I ate 3 bites of a $20 pizza. I also got a prosciutto sandwich that I would give a 6/10. Such a bust.
Went on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm, place was busy but I only waited about 10 mins for my order. I ordered the Fiamma - Spicy Salame, Hot Peppers, Spicy Eggplants, Arugula. It was very good, I'm sure each sandwich hits differently. The bread is extremely fresh, soft and delicious. It's a lively place with true Italians working and eating there. Give it a try soon.
A friend introduced us to this culinary delight place in Etobicoke. And I must say this is one place offering authentic Italian pizza and panuozzo. Everything here is made fresh and you can easily tell they're using high quality ingredients. The place is small but cozy with an open concept kitchen. It gets busy regardless of what time you come, so be prepared to wait. The food was absolutely incredible, making the wait perfectly worthwhile. I was excited to try their panuozzo since this is what I mostly ate when we went to Italy. Crudo's Mortadella Panuozzo rival those panuozzo we tried in Italy. We ordered the Mortadella panuozzo and A'Patata and Americana pizza to try. I really love and enjoyed the panuozzo! The combination of the crusty bread, savoury mortadella with the sweet, nutty creaminess of the pistachio paste and richness of the stracciatella translates beautifully into a perfect, gourmet and comforting sandwich. It will transport you straight to Rome. The potato pizza is one of the most surprisingly delicious pizzas you'll ever try. You can tell they're using top quality ingredients judging by how the pizza was fresh and flavourful. The crispy crust topped with creamy mozzarella (fior di latte) and chunks of soft roasted potatoes perfectly complements the salty and savoury ham (prosciutto cotto). And to cap off a great meal, we ordered the Cafe Cream using Kimbo coffee. This dessert is rich and velvety - the perfect sweet finish to a rich meal. I highly recommend this place to any food enthusiast.
I've been meaning to try this restaurant since their first location opened in Toronto. We ended up trying the Woodbridge location which was packed full of patrons on a Friday afternoon at lunch time. Expect to wait and be satisfied with every, huge sandwich on the menu! We had the meatball, mortadella and fig, balsamic vinegar, prosciutto panuozzos! Chef's kiss. The restaurant has a little "franchised" feeling and has less of a personal touch than I expected.
mr. Tran surprised me with some sandwiches from Crudo. He got the two most popular sandwiches; Il crudo and favoloso. Super delicious, fresh ingredients, not heavy after eating such a loaded sandwich. Will definitely come back when in the area!
Went here based on a recommendation from a friend and was thoroughly impressed by the service and the food It's NOT a fancy place, but the ambiance is great because it's buzzzing with people ( the tables are close enough that you might be rubbing elbows with whoever is sitting at the adjacent one - but trust me you will not be distracted by anything once the food arrives ) By the time I arrived, my friend had secured a table ( the waiting time was approx 30 mins on a Friday afternoon - proof that the food is great ) I'm not 100% sure which of the many sandwiches and pizzas my friend had ordered - all I can say is that they were both delicious The sandwich can safely be shared between 2 people or you can do justice to it all by yourself if you're famished Do check this place out - you will not regret it
June 6/2025: Lupper with the Al. This is a tiny little restaurant in the heart of Etobicoke that's busy as all get out! Line ups out the door & very little seating capacity as well. I had the Mortadella Panuozzo with pistachio cream sandwich ($22.99). Had fresh arugula & sun-dried tomatoes on it. Sandwich was big & very tasty. Loved the toasted bread. I found they were a little light on the toppings but heavy on the arugula, makes it look full & big. The other was the Calzone ($21.99) with mushrooms, couple of different cheeses & ham smothered in a red tomato sauce. Very delicious & a good size. Place was super busy with a friendly ambiance. The service was very slow. Took us over an 1/2 hour to get service. I'd definitely do this again but at a non busy time. Couldn't get a parking space in the lot!
I arrived at the restaurant right when it opened and was able to get a table. The Restaurant had enough space and tables for people to sit around and eat. The place was very fast paced so they took my order and then I got my food very shortly. The food was amazing. I ordered a Panuozzo with prosciutto, cheese, and arugula and it was honestly one of the best sandwich's I've ever had. I recommend coming right when it opens because if you go later on, there'll be a wait for an open table. Overall I'd give this place a 10/10 and will be coming back!
There is so much hype surrounding this place since TikTok and for good reason. Their Panuozzos are good, they make their own bread in house and each sandwich is made to order. However there is always an insane wait even when you order for pick up with assigned time. The wait time that they give you at the counter is not accurate and is often double. It is always busy here so be prepared! Their weekday specials are really good, but hard to justify the wait times.
This is a bit of a hidden gem in a small strip mall off Royal York north of LaRose. Sign on the outside but have to walk in through a hallway where you will find it in the back. Food (4/5) - it seems to be more popular for sandwiches than pizza but I'm more a pizza connoisseur so decided to try out the Margherita. It's a Napoli style which I like although you can tell from my reviews I prefer hybrid Napoli NYC styles. Overall good crust and cooked surprisingly well in a deck oven vs wood burning stove. San Marzano sauce had just right amount tang. Buffala mozz was fresh. For context I would rate it similar to Goodfellas and ahead of Dino's. Service (4.75/5) - very fast and friendly. Seems like a lot of locals and regulars. Atmosphere (4/5) - not much too it... small but clean and quaint with 7 tables. Guessing they get more takeout. Music in background. Overall (4.25/5) - I will come back and try the sandwiches which seems to be the big draw. Worth checking out for sure... not a lot of great options in the neighborhood besides LaRose Bakery. Update: came back to try the sandwiches and was very impressed! Had the Il Crudo sandwich. One of the best Italian sandwiches I've had in GTA. They fresh bake the ciabatta for each sandwich and it comes out light and airy. 10 inches wide across two pieces. Fresh sliced Prosciutto with fresh arugula and Fior di Latte, tomatoes and balsamic glaze also options but I didn't choose. Updating my Food rating to 4.5 for sandwiches, and overall rating to 4.5 as well. I will be back to try the other 6 sandwiches. Definitely worth checking out this hidden gem in central Etobicoke!
I am starting 2025 with a bang. The place is in the back of a plaza, and expect a big wait, as it looks like a local favourite. It's a very small pizza shop that seats under 20 people. This place caught my attention after seeing a random video on Instagram. The menu is very minimal (Pizza and Panuozzo) with daily specials like the Porchetta that I got on a Friday. I would come back for their veal on Tuesday when I get a chance. I ordered several sandwiches and one thing for sure, I never knew how big these sandwiches were. You can at least split a sandwich with two people and be filled. The portions on each sandwich are so generous with the bread so soft on the inside with a nice bite to it. They make their bread on-site. The Mortadella is a sandwich you must try if you're a first-time customer. That meat was very uncanny from other sandwich spots I've tried. Even the Prosciutto Parma was incredible. I would come back and make my sandwich. Even though the wait is long, the service is great, very helpful staff and they tell you what they think of each sandwich.

September 5, 2026 - I split two panuzzos with friends. I tried the mortadella and il crudo. Both were amazing sandwiches. Both were loaded to the brim with amazing sliced meats and fresh veges. However, I enjoyed the mortadella better. It was loaded with mortadella, stracciatella and a creamy pistachio sauce. Very flavourful and creamy. I would definitely come back to try another of their panuzzos! read more
I can't say I was familiar with panuozzo before stopping into Crudo, but given our positive experience there, you can consider me a convert. We decided to start with the Bruschetta ("Freshly Baked Bread Topped With Tomatoes"), and it's a solid appetizer. It's basically a very tasty dough covered in well-seasoned, fresh-tasting tomatoes. It's good. It in no way prepared me for the next-levelness of our main. We opted for the Mortadella Panuozzo ("Mortadella, Cream Of Pistachio, Stracciatella"). I took one bite and I was immediately blown away. All the flavors work so well together, and that super fresh panuozzo ties the sandwich together perfectly. Immediately after leaving the restaurant, my dining companion looked at me and asked if I was as bowled over as he was. We both agreed it was one of the best sandwiches we'd ever eaten. It's crazy. They know what they're doing at Crudo, that's for sure. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other offerings (although let's be real, I'll probably get that Mortadella panuozzo every time I return.) read more
My fav sandwich shop in Toronto! I cant stop thinking about it when i crave for a good sandwich. Now it has 3 locations across GTA so I'll probably visiting them more frequently. Mortadella is my all time fav, enormous amount of mortadella slices, stracciatella and pistachio butter. And my new finding is Dolce Salato! Perfect balance of salty and sweet from prosciutto, fig jam, and balsamic glaze! This is their main location and becuz if that, it's always busy during the weekend but still all the staffs were super friendly and prompt! The dining space got some upgrades compared to couple of yrs ago - more tables and chairs to accommodate more ppl. If you haven't tried this place, i highly recommend to try it out! read more

The Pqnuozzi are everything they're made out to be. Nite that the restaurant is at the backside of the building. The ONLY knock against this fabulous eatery is it's popular and you may have a wait. But for me and Mom (old school Italian Nonna), it was worth the quality of the delicious sandwiches served up in generous portions. read more
I unfortunately don't have a photo of the actual sandwiches because my hubby and I attacked the as soon as we saw them! The "bun" comes out of the oven hot and steamy and they slice it open to stuff it with fillings they slice in front of your eyes. They're massive. They're gorgious! The place is not big but fills up so quickly. The vibe is great! The line up is out the building. They will close up before their closing hours because they run out of food. The guys are charming and they hustle hard. All with a good reason. It's worth it. read more

Tried for the first time after seeing videos about their sandwiches (Panuozzo). Ordered in store and waited around 50min to 1hr. I ordered the il crudo and mortadella. Portions were generous but it was like $20 before tax. The taste was also pretty good and everything was freshly made to order. Personally, idk if I would wait an hour for a sandwich but I do see why people like this spot. read more

These Paesanos are Absolute Amazing at what they do!!! Such delicious Art of the pizza pies & pannuozzos they create = Beautifully made! Authentic Napolitanos. Great personalities, every time we come once a month, it always feels like we are in Italy again. The whole pizza covers the plate, and their pannuozzos are HUGE. We always have the rest to take home. Huge generous quality servings. Definitely, A must try. Ample seating/tables available. Clean, spacious, and Italian decor. Plenty of free parking. Amazing atmosphere... and the upbeat Italian music playing all the time makes you happy, I wanna dance as I find myself Shazaming their playlists. I love this place. You can thank me later.
