There was one person working the counter during lunch hour. Not a huge deal, but there were a few in front of us with more complicated orders. The inside is kind of like a generic cafeteria. Not a lot of decor and not very welcoming... just kind of odd. I got the hummus sandwich with pasta salad. The food was just kind of mid. The hummus was good, but the sandwich didn't have many veggies on it and the pasta salad was very bland. The restrooms here were also kind of grungy. Overall, it was just a very average place with odd vibes. Nothing particularly wrong with it, but I probably wouldn't return unless going with a group who wanted to try it. One good thing is that they do have plenty of vegetarian options and a gluten free menu (you have to inquire about that).

You order at the counter and take your number to the table and the kitchen delivers it in a very reasonable time. The drinks are self-serve but members of the staff asked if I'd like a refill and did the running for me. They even brought me a "to-go" cup when we finished our meal. It was very comfortable and quiet during our visit but with a full dining room it has the potential to be a bit noisier. With a live band, it could be more than a bit louder. Tips: Head to the back and browse the vendor booths on the way. Expect to make some compromise decisions. You can't eat everything at one visit. On the way out buy something and support a local vendor. The building's purpose to give local vendors a place to sell. No vendors will cause the grill's rent to skyrocket.

I love reading all the funny signs! There is even a bar that has charging stations. To talk about the food, we have to start with the bread! The bread is a toasted sourdough that is baked and crispy. It is so delicious! The original is probably my favorite or the French dip with aujus. They have these new calzones that are huge and are the bread folded over into a sandwich. I had the French dip calzone and could only finish half. My husband and I could have shared it. It was so good! My husband got the bacon, Smokey cheesy sandwich. It's roast beef, cheddar and bacon. All of the sandwiches and salads I have tried are delicious! They have a free bar that has pickles, banana peppers, and jalapeños for toppings. It also has herbs and spices you can also use. The drink stations are nice also. The sweet tea always tastes freshly brewed. The owner talks with us each time we've come in.
