Papa Grand? Papa Sham..! We were a hungry family of seven enjoying our vacation and craving pizza. Scrolling through our options, Papa Grand's was a top contender. Complete disappointment. The line was long which was a facade of hope. After about half an hour of waiting, we finally reached the front. As a family with religious dietary restrictions, there were only two slices of cheese pizza. The cashier said "yeah I don't know, it'll be like thirty minutes or something." The line kept growing and growing with hungry tummies and a pizzaless counter. As we walked out to get pizza at a place with better service, we noticed the disgusting environment. Garbage was all over the floor, tables covered with filth. The only highlight was the cake, which isn't filling to begin with. A man in line told his son (as unpaid customers) "grab whatever you want, son." It made the environment feel dangerous. Our best friend of the night was Pizza Hut. No one truly "outpizzas the hut." Papa grand? Not enough to be grand! This buffet was exceptionally bad. My family of 7 (including me) were looking for a place to enjoy pizza together. But! This did not happen. There were only a few a slices of cheese pizza and as a family with religious dietary restrictions, this was very saddening as the other pizzas had things we were restricted from eating. The slice of cheese pizza I had was cold and had quite a preposterous taste indeed. The only good thing to bump up the review up to 2 stars was the free cake they had that was perfectly moist and had extremely good frosting. We left to get some better pizza. Pizza Hut really was the hero of the night, as it fed us delicious, warm pizza. Papa grand was not that grand compared to Pizza Hut. read more

Not a bad buffet as buffets in Branson go. The pizza was good but not quite as Larry's Pizza in Central Arkansas as I saw on previous reviews. We went in the last hour they were open. The staff was friendly and there was a decent variety of pizzas on the buffet. I asked the staff to make a supreme and they cheerfully made it. Sure didn't have very much to choose from on the pizza buffet. Took my family of four to wait 45min for cheese pizza to only get 2 pieces. Seems there too concerned with making to go orders rather than filling the buffet. This is our second time coming and after the service we received, this will definitely be the last. read more

I went in to get a takeout pizza last night (a Friday night during heavy tourist summer months), and decided to just stand wait until it was done. Boy, was I glad I did. You should have seen this group of employees working together. I seldom see such teamwork and efficiency, even working in a fast pace corporate environment. These guys (and 2 gals) were like a well oiled machine. They had the buffet, the salad bar and the to-go line moving like clockwork. Everyone knew their role, and no one was sitting back and being complacent. When one person was slow in their role, they just moved right in and helped another member to knock their job out faster. It truly was an impressive thing to watch for 10-15 minutes. They all deserve MAJOR kudos. And to boot -- the pizza came out perfectly done and in good time. Overall the pizza was normal Pizza the Alfredo was everyone's favorite. Definitely have had better pepperoni. Salad bar was kind of small but the size you would guess with all you can eat. What's nice is the frozen custard place is attached. So if you don't like the dessert pizza.(was just normal pizza crust we didn't) you can easily get dessert. It will cost extra. I can't say enough good about this place! We brought 70 kids for a field trip and were all blown away by how accommodating they were. The staff members were so friendly to our kids and kept fresh pizza on the buffet the whole almost 2 hours we were there. And the pizza--OH MY GOODNESS! So good! My son has a large brain cyst ,low blood pressure ,and seziures there lucky they didn't kill him from food poisoning! Some people miss that they have a make your own pasta bar with several options. They have an always fresh salad bar that has cheese on it that I can put in the only chilli I will eat out as well as great beef vegetable soup and boths soups are always hot so let them cool. I like their pizza but if they don't have what you like have them make one up. In wintertime they give locals a $4.99 buffet special but their regular pice is $7.99. Drink is $1.79 extra. We were there for lunch on a Friday during Spring Break. The place was absolutely packed, not enough tables, and the choices on the buffet were ridiculous. There were more empty spots than filled and it seemed as though they had made no effort to plan for the crowd, especially given that the resort was booked solid. Once we got through the long line and had our our food we had to wait for a table. Once seated, the pizza itself was kind of chewy and didn't taste very good.
