    Whiskey buttered pound cake

So the crossing cafe is inside Rivers Casino, you must go through security to eat inside but you can order takeout without having to through the Casino. The casino is very Smokey but you don't smell it in the restaurant. The restaurant is crispy and clean looking, sitting inside you forget where you are. I was at the Casino for a two day conference. The first day we looked at the menu they have a lot of variety from prime rib and salmon to egg rolls and jerk chicken tacos. On the first day I got wings and fries... half plain and half lemon pepper. You get 10 wing pieces for $16 super reasonable. The plain wings was void of salt and pepper... but the lemon pepper was the star of the show. The fries were just ok. On the second day we decided to go back because those lemon pepper wings were calling me, this time I got them with onion rings... sorry I dint take photos but the lemon pepper wings are consistent crispy, lemon flavored and seasoned. Great choice and those onion rings we basic but they were super hot which made them better... they didn't come with any sauce. So for a 3rd trip I ordered take out. Here is where my pictures come from. I ordered the fish dinner and the whiskey buttered pound cake. The fish looks burned, but the hush puppies was good. The food died travel well. I did take a photo of my wings from earlier. I didn't taste the fish or the corn. I'll eat it tomorrow. The pound cake is store bought, but you can taste the whiskey butter... tasty and the caramel and pecan flakes on point. My favorite Waitress was Maya, super nice and good service and the food runner Sadie

Well it's at least something. The truth is, we come to a casino to gamble not to eat. Compare the food selection to a gambler's status. The higher the status a gambler has, the higher rewards offered. And that same tier applies to the restaurants. You got the high end steak houses to the hot dog stand. This place is sort of in the middle. Well closer to the bottom. Food selection is limited (they ran out of the crab dip that I wanted early evening) and even with the nice floor space and decor it's empty. I guess everyone uses the take out window. This is the first casino I've seen with a takeout window. Except maybe that one time at the Point in Poulsbo, Washington. The Point had a pizza window if I remember right. IDK too many casinos. Anyway, the selection is small I got the egg rolls and a salad. At least the salad was okay. I'm not sure a cheese crisp goes with the Caesar dressing. It's not my thing. And I've tasted better egg rolls from a Chili's restaurant. You know where they cut two to make four pieces. At least here they cut three to make six small bites. Overall two stars. The service was good but the food just didn't cut it for me. I should really go again but time is limited. M

Everything could improve. I only come here because of comps, and it's the only place open in the morning. It's 10:10AM, and I've been sitting here for 3 minutes, party of one. Only one other customer in here. There's a group of 4 staff standing right next to me, and they're all just chit-chatting. Literally not paying attention to anything or anyone here. What is happening?? It was great when it first opened. Also, the menu: The Quesadilla can't come without Jalops because the salsa and sides all are pre-prepared with jalapeños in the mix. Seriously??? I ordered eggs over easy once, and they were over hard. The waitress explained that "there's no button for over easy, so if you want dippy you have to say dippy. " No button??!? What the heck does THAT mean?? ""Over-hard is the way they do over-easy here." Again...seriously??? First, that's ridiculous. Second , she couldn't have clarified that when I ordered.?? I've never in my life had to clarify that over-easy means runny. Come on, now, y'all! Smh

The food is not too bad. Not sure what is going on with the staff, there were three staff circulating and they turn potential customers away telling them 20 minutes to an hour wait when the restaurant was practically empty. The waitress was nice and the food came out quickly. Food was ok except for the sauces which were sour and probably expired.

Went to the Jackson's concert at River's casino so we decided to try this place. Besides the few burned tenders that I couldn't eat, the food was good!

Stopped in late night while at the casino. They cafe is open with a late night menu, we had to wait about 5 mins to be seated. We ordered the sweet chili wings, a side of fries, and chicken quesadillas. The food was good especially the wings. Service was good and quick. Our server was very friendly. I will stop in again next time we visit Rivers.

Good food, god portions, great service...the ambiance is nice and quite considering it is located in the corridor of the River Casino.

Not group friendly, won't move tables, split checks. Have to have whole group together before they will even seat you.

Inside is very well done - clearly recently updated and very modern. Music is pretty loud in there but I enjoyed it, my older parents had a little more issues hearing. Service - waiter was very nice and friendly, they have electronic ordering right tableside so if there is an issue or error can be a little difficult to fix! He did originally deliver the wrong food and even when questioned just changed what he called it but it was wrong. Kitchen showed they likely have a lot of new staff. Medium steak came out first and each meal was delivered individually and with a pretty significant time difference. Medium steak was basically rare in the middle, we didn't opt to send it back though we could have. It was seasoned really well! I had the party platter and everyone was really great! My mom also loved her salmon Caesar wrap and my dad liked his scallop basket. Price points were on par for everything but the steak dinner and most of us had left overs. There is for sure room for improvement on kitchen side and be prepared for the auto 20% gratuity after 5pm but overall they have a lot of potential! I hope they can work out the kinks!

We got there at 11:30 but was told breakfast was served until 12 so we left and came back. It was empty but from what I'm told it's packed at night. There were so many options it was hard to choose. We got the oyster Rockefeller, salmon sliders, catfish and grits, and the crab dip. We were impressed with everything. The waitress was very attentive, they played great music. It was the perfect brunch. Can't wait to go back to try more!

The place inside is very cute and reminds me of a nice punk pop bar. The bar wraps around and there's some tables and a side table that we sat at to eat. I ordered one of their specialty coffees and it is quite the journey but I enjoyed it with the ginger beer and the coffee. My quiche was fluffy and delicious. It jiggled when I tapped it and the side salad tasted great with dill in it and it brightened up things. The combination of both was great. The crust on the quiche was nice as well. My spouse enjoyed their sandwich but didn't realize there was mustard so he ended up just using the chips to eat his egg and sausage. His egg was also fluffy. The patrons that came seemed friendly and you can tell who are locals since they greeted by name often. I love that this place is open. They also have local wine you can purchase. Food was mid for me unfortunately. I had the midnight cowboy and wouldn't order it again. It's a turkey sandwich topped with pulled chicken, but the chicken was inedible and got taken off. We started with the fried cheese, which I can only describe as pure, unadulterated bliss. It's less of an appetizer and more of a spiritual experience. If you're looking for a sign to forget your diet, this is it--crispy, gooey, and likely the reason I'll be doing extra cardio until 2027. Then came the "33" pizza. I'm not entirely sure what the "33" stands for--maybe the number of minutes I spent in a silent trance while eating it? Whatever it is, it was incredible. Even the cheeseburger "slapped," according to my son, which in teenager-speak means it's better than anything I've ever cooked at home. (I'm not offended; I've had the burger, he's right.) The real kicker, though? The service. It legitimately rivals Chick-fil-A. I was half-expecting our server to hit me with a "My pleasure" and follow us home to make sure we tucked the leftovers in safely. It's rare to find a spot that handles a crowd with that kind of efficiency and genuine politeness. The Verdict Go for the pizza, stay for the cheese, and bask in the glory of people who actually seem happy to bring you ranch.
