Would be even better w a scoop of ice cream. Superb lemon drop martini w sugar rim (I had 2). Plenty of parking clean bathrooms friendly staff no wait

The Building looked like it was newly renovated It does not really give inviting but it's ok. They need photos or something kinda gloomy. The Service by Lora S was awesome she was on top of things always filled my Tea and provided great customer service. The Food was good and definitely eye appealing The Appetizer: George's Sample platter was good with a variety of sauces. I ordered the New York Steak (Medium Rare) it was great and juicy did taste the flavor. I had fries for the side Flimsy a bit and needed some salt but did not let it bother me since the steak was the Main Entree. Overall good experience the Waitress made the experience better. Quaint local steakhouse restaurant in Suffolk. When I Yelp'd "seafood" this one popped up and remark was "only seafood in Suffolk" - ok either good or bad? Came from the airport, we were hangry! Really is a steakhouse, but hubs didn't want steak and I don't eat meat. He got a salad and chicken tenders (I think they need to change the fryer oil) was dark and overcooked. Salad meh, I got the salad too, raspberry dressing tastes like pancake syrup, wayyyyy too sweet, I couldn't eat it. Got a baked potato, more steamed in foil with a packet (I think of sour cream). Service was good, as server asked why we didn't eat our food. Maybe their steaks are better?? IDK...

This is a great restaurant! The food is always good as is the service. During this visit, I dined in. I got the grilled chicken salad sans cheese. Typically it would come with feta cheese. The homemade dressing is delicious. I also got a side of fries, which were fried perfectly. They have booths and tables, and can accommodate large groups. It's a local favorite -- check it out today!

Amazing food and service. It is our go to place on Sundays. The food is good and seasoned well. The salad is good, wish it had cucumbers.

Awesome find! When I…read moresay this will be my husband and I go to spot for breakfast, I wholeheartedly will come here, over and over and over! My babe woke up two Sunday's ago wanting breakfast. I really wasn't feeling like anything we already tried near home, so I pulled up Yelp to guide me in another direction. Now this place, I have seen it several times featured during Suffolk's restaurant week, but why haven't I visited until now, who knows! But it wont' be too long of a wait ever again! We ate breakfast here and we tore it up! My babe had the big breakfast and I had the simple breakfast along with a cranberry mimosa... ate it down!! Yall, I am hardly a fan of breakfast outside my kitchen, but I will give places a shot or two if the majority wants to go out. My go to for breakfast is usually a lunch option. And on this visit I almost ordered lunch (those fresh cut fries caught my eye), but my first mind said, Maria give the breakfast a try. So glad I did!! I was not disappointed by anything!! The wait time - none - seated super quickly. They have high tops and low seating as well as a few seats at the bar. From the time we ordered our meal - plate to table - great timing! My cranberry mimosa, no way I ordered two, because one was enough for me, very good! The freshness of everything on my plate... superb! While everything wasn't made from scratch, it was the presentation and the quality of it all. 10/10 Although it's small inside, this restaurant located inside an airport building/office suite had space for us and that's all that mattered. We dined long enough to see guests come and ago, but no one had to wait to be seated. There is a full bar here! Weekly specials! Happy hour deals! As a new Suffolk resident, I am pleased I came across this great hideaway :) I cannot wait to return when it is warm enough to enjoy the outdoor seating. Great job owners and staff!! I peeped the vibes too... super welcoming place! Have fun and enjoy life :)

Oh my goodness, we were so surprised with the presentation as well as the taste. The grits tasted fresh, large serving and seasoned well. The restaurant has a cool retro 1970s vibe with vintage colors, an old cigarette machine, and Bewitched playing on the TV, which made for a unique atmosphere. Unfortunately, the experience was a little inconsistent. We arrived with a party of four but were seated at a table with only three chairs. When we pointed it out, the host didn't seem to realize the problem at first, which was an odd start to the meal. Our server was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. She let us know they were out of the home fries and another menu item before we ordered, which wasn't a big issue. However, it took close to 40 minutes for our food to arrive. My son ordered a burger that was advertised with fried mac and cheese on top, but when it came out, the mac and cheese was missing. Only after we asked were we told they had run out. It would have been helpful to know that before we ordered. The server apologized and offered to make something else, but it would have taken another 30 minutes, so we decided to keep the burger as it was. She ended up removing it from the bill entirely, which we appreciated. We also tipped her based on the original total because she handled the situation well. The food was good. I enjoyed my grilled chicken sandwich with pear, Brie, and honey, and my husband liked his French dip. That said, we felt the prices were on the high side for the overall experience, especially considering the long wait, unavailable menu items, and other service issues. Overall, MOD Olive has a fun concept and an interesting menu, but the restaurant could have been cleaner, communication could have been better, and the value didn't quite match the price. We'd be willing to give it another try in the future, but we're hoping for a more polished experience next time.

And downtown Suffolk is just beautiful and quaint, it feels friendly and idyllic. *Ambience: Extremely comfortable, super approachable, but also refined with lots of wood and brick, but open and airy, and lots of light. You walk in to a cocktail and bar area, with an incredible painted sign on the brick wall behind the bar, that is a total throwback. The bar is incredibly comfortable and open and warm feeling. There are hardwood tables and beautiful booths along with a private dining area in the back. Really couldn't ask for or want for a more comfortable environment. *Service: absolutely stellar, super friendly staff, our server could not have been nicer or more genuine, or had more of an "ownership attitude" as if the restaurant meant everything to her, and so did us being there. She knew everything on the menu, had great recommendations, and insured we were consistently taken care of. She truly missed nothing. Harper, the owner, came over to check on us and ensure we were enjoying ourselves. He couldn't have been nicer or kinder or more humble. Service was outstanding. *Food & Drinks: The food! The drinks! Oh man! I've been a "Yelp Elite Member" for almost 10 years and the food here at hT is near the top of all my reviews, hundreds of them. The highest quality ingredients, impeccably curated, ingeniously but simply paired, created with a true love for the art of cooking and the true joy of the consumer. This was obvious. We started with a Mainstream Manhattan and Old Fashioned from the bar. No ordinary bartender, she's a true mixologist/professional. Both drinks were excellent, no "simple syrup" used here, raw sugar cubes melted into the finest spirits, yummm! We order brussels sprouts from the appetizer menu everywhere we go and compare them. None have ever come close to our favorite, for a dozen years, until now. These were crispy on the outside, but juicy inside, flash fried to an al dente bite and finished (almost injected) with a cherry vinegar glaze that permeated every bite with sweet, tart perfection. We also started with the vibrant Camden County May Pea & Truffle Toast which was like a celebration of spring with a fresh, grilled baguette topped with fancy Italian truffle cheese (insane!), sweet tender may peas, and fresh pea shoots, all drizzled with olive oil for a fresh, earthy, and simple bite that captured the essence of this farm-to-table cuisine. For entrees we ordered the Ben Johnson's Soft Shell Crabs with remoulade and the Brown Sugar Brined Porkchop with pimp cheese, grits, and chard tomatoes with a side of hand cut fries with roast shallot mayo. Everything was stellar, no exceptions. I can honestly say this was **the best pork chop I've ever eaten, ever.** Tender, sweet, meaty and paired perfectly with the creamy cheese grits and the tang and smoke of the charred tomatoes. Ridiculously good! See my photos, too bad they don't come with "taste-o-vision", because, wow! The hand cut, skin on, double fried potatoes and roast shallot mayo were fantastic. As if that wasn't enough food, they also brought us stone ground cornbread, with a massive slab of rough salted butter, steamy, warm, soft, buttery perfection. I'm ready to go back now! *Value & Overall: I posted pictures of all menus and all prices. Their spirits and mixed drink selections from the bar are incredible. The food, service and ambience simply couldn't have been better. Prices, as you'll see, are exactly in line for what you get and an excellent value. Portions on everything were excellent and we ended up taking home quite a bit of food, which was also stellar the next day. I absolutely cannot recommend Harper's Table highly enough. This establishment, all parts of it, truly earn a five star review across the board with no exceptions. Have no hesitation, make a reservation, go, it will become an instant favorite.

Not local, so just something to be aware of. First impression is strong. Specials, awards, and a "Top 25 Burger in the U.S. (2021)" recognition are clearly displayed when you walk in. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality and ambition of the food. The interior is well thought out. Heavy gold-and-black design with light brown accent chairs gives it a polished, upscale feel without being flashy. Leather seating is in great shape, and the tall ceilings paired with black vertical boards make the space feel larger than it is. Lighting is excellent, especially considering there are very few windows. Music is smooth and casual, though to some it could be turned down just a notch. The kitchen is semi-open behind a half wall, which adds to the experience early on as cooking smells build anticipation. Toward the end of my visit, the space did get slightly smoky. I arrived to an empty restaurant, but by the time I left there were around 20-25 people dining. Service was a highlight. Randy showed exceptional hospitality and checked in consistently without hovering. Food hit the table in about six minutes, which is impressive, even considering I was the only guest at first. I ordered the Major Way burger with sautéed onions, bacon, and their house drip sauce. The patty came out piping hot with a great exterior sear, though the interior flavor relies heavily on the sauce. The onions were almost cold, which stood out against the hot patty. The sauce is excellent, creamy with a light spice, and it absolutely carries the burger. Without it, the burger would feel underwhelming by comparison. The bun could benefit from toasting, as the bun struggled to hold everything together. Lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp. If ordering to go, I'd recommend getting the buns on the side. Traditional wings were done right. Crispy outside, moist inside, and good-sized whole wings. They're essentially well-executed fried chicken wings. While very good, I feel like some seasoning may be burning off in the fryer. I'd love to compare these to their sticky or "everything" wings. Colossal shrimp was excellent. Great batter, excellent house sauce, and perfectly cooked with real texture. The seasoning shines here without tasting burnt. The fries were standout. Easily some of the best I've had in a while. Skinny, twice-fried, fresh-cut potatoes with a (I think) honey BBQ dusting. I intentionally ordered a smaller portion so the photo isn't portioned to size. House-made fruit punch was fantastic. Sweet, clean, and refreshing without that artificial coating you get from bottled drinks. I also appreciate their use of paper bowls and plates instead of styrofoam. The restaurant was clean top to bottom, including the bathrooms, which is always a strong indicator of good management. Overall, this place punches well above its weight. In a larger city, food at this level would easily cost 2.5-5x more. If you're spending lunch money at major fast-food chains nearby, redirect it here. You'll leave full and without that post-fast-food regret.
