As someone who is weary about restaurants that don't have 5 stars.. we decided to check this place out, and OH MY GOODNESS I'm so glad we did! Service was fast, food was amazing, and we loved the decor. The prices were decent too. For 5 us us to eat (3 apps, 3 adult entrees, 2 kids meals, a dessert & drinks) it was under $150. It may seem pricy to some, but you get what you pay for, and this was very much worth it!

We stopped here for lunch because it was recommended by a friend who lives nearby. The atmosphere what you would expect of a smaller pizza place. A bar, small tables and an outside seating area near the front side of the restaurant. We were seated right away, the service great, and very accommodating. We ordered the bread sticks appetizer. Even though we couldn't really taste the garlic, they were delicious. Our main dish was a 10" cheeseburger pizza. The pizza was thin crust, it tasted more like a taco pizza but regardless It was delicious. We were too full to eat dessert in the restaurant so we ordered some cannoli's to go. They came with a chocolate dipping sauce which isn't needed. The cannoli shells were crispy and the filling was creamy. The taste is sweet but not overpowering. It's just the way a good cannoli should taste. If you have room for dessert I would highly recommend them. Overall it's a cute little pizza place in Suffolk that I would recommend going to if you are in the area.

Starters/main course... Food was TASTELESS. Food had no taste / flavor. Fettuccine Alfredo was watery, absolutely no flavor. Clam Casino Pizza was dough and cheese... (TRASH)

I went here the other day to grab lunch and had a great dining experience. They have gluten-free crust (10" only), but it was just enough for a midday meal. The rosemary chicken is great with the pesto. Dairy currently isn't my friend so I had to forgo it, but you should definitely try their pizza. I added a side salad because I needed some veggies (my mom would be proud :-D). The service was great - she checked in periodically and my food arrived in good order. The pizza arrived while I was eating my salad. They have indoor and outdoor seating so I appreciate the various options. They have tables and even a bar area so you can sit wherever you please (after checking with the hostess first). They have chalkboards with their beer choices, pizza options, and desserts overhead. It's a really cool place. I'll have to go back and try something else!

I literally am shocked that when we ordered this pizza and it arrived we commented to the waitress that it was supposed to be shredded lettuce and pickled onions ... she was like you want me to go have them shred it for you... I said no thank we are good... she s then brought out the pizza without the lettuce to show there were like five pieces of pickled onion on it ... I wish I took a pic ... the first pic is when we have ordered before the same pizza and what was expected and as you can see not received .. the waitress arguing with me threw me off as well ... like I showed comparison pictures and she had no apology .. stood firm that that pizza was correct ... won't return .. wish you the best if you try ... the other pizza we ordered was good ... pepperoni and banana peppers ..also side note we ordered a side of blue cheese when we said it looks yellow and kinda funny she said we only make our ranch in house ... I said so that means the blue cheese can be bad?? There wasn't a single apology made .. just arguing with me. It was wild... I have never ...

Amici's is a local restaurant in Suffolk, VA. It serves Italian and American dishes and they are great! We came here for lunch on Sunday. Some of us ordered off the brunch menu and others the dinner menu. My sister had the steak and eggs. She raved about them! The flat iron steak was seasoned well and quite tender. Her eggs and potato hash were good also. I had the shrimp and grits. This was the best shrimp and grits I've ever had! Plenty of fresh shrimp. Andouille sausage that had just the right amount of heat and Smokey flavor. It was a great contrast to the rest of the dish. Thick, not watery, grits that were great. All of this topped with an egg. My wife had the pasta and vegetables. A light sauce with some cheese. She loved them. My sister-in-law had the pasta and shrimp. Plenty of shrimp and the sauce was great! It seems like they don't have any beverages on tap. Some had a good local IPA from a can and my sister had a bottled coke. Service was good, even at a busy time. I'll be back.

4.5 Stopped in for…read morelunch around 12:00 PM on a Friday. Street parking only. I didn't notice any meters, but I could imagine parking being tougher during a big event. Not local, so just something to be aware of. First impression is strong. Specials, awards, and a "Top 25 Burger in the U.S. (2021)" recognition are clearly displayed when you walk in. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality and ambition of the food. The interior is well thought out. Heavy gold-and-black design with light brown accent chairs gives it a polished, upscale feel without being flashy. Leather seating is in great shape, and the tall ceilings paired with black vertical boards make the space feel larger than it is. Lighting is excellent, especially considering there are very few windows. Music is smooth and casual, though to some it could be turned down just a notch. The kitchen is semi-open behind a half wall, which adds to the experience early on as cooking smells build anticipation. Toward the end of my visit, the space did get slightly smoky. I arrived to an empty restaurant, but by the time I left there were around 20-25 people dining. Service was a highlight. Randy showed exceptional hospitality and checked in consistently without hovering. Food hit the table in about six minutes, which is impressive, even considering I was the only guest at first. I ordered the Major Way burger with sautéed onions, bacon, and their house drip sauce. The patty came out piping hot with a great exterior sear, though the interior flavor relies heavily on the sauce. The onions were almost cold, which stood out against the hot patty. The sauce is excellent, creamy with a light spice, and it absolutely carries the burger. Without it, the burger would feel underwhelming by comparison. The bun could benefit from toasting, as the bun struggled to hold everything together. Lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp. If ordering to go, I'd recommend getting the buns on the side. Traditional wings were done right. Crispy outside, moist inside, and good-sized whole wings. They're essentially well-executed fried chicken wings. While very good, I feel like some seasoning may be burning off in the fryer. I'd love to compare these to their sticky or "everything" wings. Colossal shrimp was excellent. Great batter, excellent house sauce, and perfectly cooked with real texture. The seasoning shines here without tasting burnt. The fries were standout. Easily some of the best I've had in a while. Skinny, twice-fried, fresh-cut potatoes with a (I think) honey BBQ dusting. I intentionally ordered a smaller portion so the photo isn't portioned to size. House-made fruit punch was fantastic. Sweet, clean, and refreshing without that artificial coating you get from bottled drinks. I also appreciate their use of paper bowls and plates instead of styrofoam. The restaurant was clean top to bottom, including the bathrooms, which is always a strong indicator of good management. Overall, this place punches well above its weight. In a larger city, food at this level would easily cost 2.5-5x more. If you're spending lunch money at major fast-food chains nearby, redirect it here. You'll leave full and without that post-fast-food regret.

It's restaurant week in Suffolk and sadly it ends today. We…read moretried to dine at another restaurant featured this week, but they ran out of all our choices... bummer. Nevertheless, Da'Lish to the rescue, and they did not disappoint! I heard of this place, and had it on my radar to try. It's only been open a few months now, but seeing the menu, this place is tempting. Well the wait is over, yesterday, my mother and I dined her for a late lunch and everything was on point. Our server, Rachelle (spelling maybe off) was friendly and greeted us immediately. My mother and I already knew our purpose... dine her for restaurant week so we selected items from the three course menu. We both had the 15 bean soup. Main dish - my mom had the pulled chicken and ribs - myself - the strawberry salad with salmon. Dessert - they were sold out of the cobbler, it was peach. Therefore, the only other option was cheesecake. However, we could choose our drizzle. Carmel for me and raspberry for my mom. My mom enjoyed every bite of her meal. With me... while I enjoyed my meal, I was a little disappointed in the salad. I did ask the contents and it was missed that onions are in the salad... yuck! I do not like raw onions. I did my best to eat around them and overall it was good, but I much would have loved it without the red onions. I asked to have my salmon blackened and they were able to deliver! My salmon was super tasty! I did eat a few strawberries, nuts and spinach leaves. I did try ribs and pulled chicken and both were tasty! My mom loved the toast that came with the meal. She even asked for more. The soup was flavorful and we wanted more, but kept it cute. The owner Dennis came out to talk with us and he was an absolute pleasure. I read the story on the menu - it was a good read. So I had an idea who the guy was when he walked out. Easy to talk to and he said he is the cook also! We definitely complimented him on everything. I even mentioned I wanted to try the jalapeno jerky he mentioned in the write up and to my surprise he had some for me to try! Da'Lish!!! I love jalapenos!! And this jerky had the spice and a hint of sweetness. An awesome combination!!! I highly recommend you stop in and dine because this hidden treasure is sure to delight you. From starters to dessert, definitely come to Suffolk and check them out. I understand they offer brunch on Sundays only from 9am to 2pm. I think I just might come here again very soon. The hospitality and food - they have what it takes! Wishing you all the best! Da'Lish it is!! Plenty of parking as this restaurant is located inside the Suffolk Cultural Arts building. Not hard to find at all. Come for a real treat! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. You can sit at a 2 or 4 person table and bar seating is available as well. Outdoor dining is an option too! Have fun and enjoy life :)

As for me the Spicy Sausage Omelette was really really good. The sausage had a bite of heat but nothing crazy. Not sure what they used but don't stop - it was that good. We both also had Sweet Teas. We were warned from the start - they are dark and REAL sweet. Which for me was perfect. As for the service: there was one lady (dam forgot her name) taking care of all the guest and she did great. When I say taking care of - I mean everything. Bussing tables, sitting folks, taking orders, and cashing out. Again she was wonderful! The place is neat just like many have said before me. Old 80's type stuff on the walls and tables. Now let me address something that some past Yelpers clearly have an issue with. There are small indications of the owners political views within the location. Nothing crazy at all and unless you really look for it you won't notice. Some past yelpers I who clearly don't agree used this to bust down their Yelp review. That's ridiculous. If the owner wants to voice their opinion- they have every right. It's their place - with their money on the line and their time vested. They clearly treated every guest wonderfully and that's all you should really focused on. So looking for a very good meal (breakfast) at a nice little joint - go on in and enjoy. I'm sure we will be back and might even shoot for the lunch menu next time.

She was incredible and double checked on everything for us. The alfredo sauce does contain gluten, so that took two of the pizza options away. Also the fryer is NOT dedicated, so anything fried, including wings, was a no go. If I remember correctly, all of the pastas can be made gf, it would just be a gf penne substitute. We started with the scallops appetizer and it was pretty good. The cauliflower crust on the pizzas was indeed wood fired, and I confirmed with two separate employees to make sure that the pizzas we had were gluten free because they did not look it lol. I got the classic New Yorker and she got the white margarita. I loved my pizza...hers was pretty bland tbh. I'd probably stick with the Italian or New Yorker or create my own. We got a chocolate torte for dessert and it was pretty good. I think they also had a gelato available that was gf. Drinks were decent. I'm not a cocktail snob, but if you are, understand that the bartenders are bartenders here and not mixologists. It is a hotel bar so you will pay mixologist prices. I still give this 3.75 stars even with limited options. That is the BEST cauliflower crust I've ever had, and it's a 12 inch with 8 slices standard, which was much bigger than what I was expecting. Our server was incredible all the way around, and I didn't get sick! It is on the pricier side, and their website does not list menu prices. Average pizza price is $17 +$2 for gf.
