My salad and cheese bread is coming. Yum.

My salad was fresh and my fav Chesapeake special. Happy to be out of the house on this busy Wednesday!

This is my grandparents favorite location pizza spot. We ordered to-go last time I visited and it was pretty good. I personally wasn't a fan of the crust but sauce was good and good amount of toppings. Pizza was ready on time, and the worker on the phone was nice. I didn't go inside but it looks like an old school Pizza Hut building.

I'm visiting family from NYC, and they took me out to Chesapeake Pizza. If you have a nostalgia for the 80s Pizza Huts, this is the closest thing around, but there are no juke boxes or Arcade games. Pizza is fresh and delicious. Also, we arrived on a Friday night and the place was packed. The waiting list moved fairly well and the staff who work here are very friendly, helpful and professional. The only reason I'm not 5 starting them is because they only take cash.

After more than 30 years coming here, I really do believe their pizza is the best around. I especially love that it's a local family restaurant and not a chain. However, some things have changed. They no longer can accommodate parties larger than 10 without splitting them up. The separate room in the past could accommodate our large parties over 10 but it does not. Also, their Chesapeake special pizza tastes the same, the crust seems a bit thinner. They frequently tend to run out of pizza early in the evenings on Fridays and Saturdays. Service is still great.

Great pizza. I love cheese, so I order extra. I'd give 5 Stars if they accepted Credit Cards, and the beer glasses weren't so small.

Always nice to have a local pizza place to dive in. We need to be careful if we are late pizza is sold out for a day.

I got "The DON," pastrami piled high (NOT "Katz" high, but a Chesapeake high, with Cold Slaw and a pickle. When I tell you delicious!! The WATER's PH balance is the same as NY, making the bagel, an authentic "NY Bagel." The Cold Slaw... my god today... I haven't had slaw like this since I left NYC!! I know bacon, sausage, ham, (and Taylor Ham if you're from Jersey like me) are the standard breakfast sandwich meats, but try the pastrami! I know a lot of Southerners don't care for the greatness of a bagel, they prefer their biscuits and that's all well and good. Consistency--both in the kitchen and in the dining room--has made this longtime favorite a reliable choice for those who value substance over flash. The service reflects that same steadiness. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing--always ready with thoughtful suggestions for anyone navigating the menu. I began with the garden salad, a straightforward but well-executed mix of fresh greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, and sweet Vidalia onions, finished with housemade croutons and a balanced balsamic vinaigrette. It's a simple dish done right, which sets the tone for what follows. The she-crab soup--an award-winning staple--delivers exactly what you hope for in a classic rendition. Rich, velvety, and deeply satisfying, it's best enjoyed in a cup unless you plan on making it the centerpiece of your meal. For the entrée, the French Dip stands out as a clear highlight. Built on a soft roll and filled with thinly sliced prime rib--slow-roasted to achieve both tenderness and depth of flavor--it's served with a properly seasoned au jus that brings the entire sandwich together. It's a dish that leans on quality ingredients and careful execution rather than unnecessary embellishment, and it succeeds because of it. Court House Café continues to earn its reputation the right way: consistent food, thoughtful service, and an atmosphere that feels rooted in the community it serves. In a dining landscape often chasing trends, this is a place that understands the value of doing the fundamentals exceptionally well--and doing them every time.

My only gripe is that I prefer Heinz ketchup with my fries which they do not have. The service is always top notch and the girls there are always friendly. My drink was never empty.
