Came for breakfast this time and it does not disappoint! Not pictured is the order of the best French toast I've had in YEARS! Stuffed French toast with Strawberries... for 9$. They have limited hours so make sure you catch them open! 7am-10 or 10:30 for Breakfast and close at 3. Hoping soon they will be open weekends!!!

This new little spot in Suffolk is great! Prices are super reasonable, the staff was very friendly and the food came out quick, to order and delicious! They were out of chili sauce but the regular chili was great. One fry is enough for two people and the cookies are average. Their hours are a bit odd, but if you're downtown at the right time you have to give this place a shot!

    My dogs and fries!

The food and prices are good. Two chili/onion dogs for $6.50, I thought was reasonable. Hot dogs were good and fresh, not rubbery. The hand cut fries were made to order and plentiful. The atmosphere is your typical fast food type with open booths and they have seats at the bar. It was pleasant and fairly busy for a lunch crowd and a lot of takeout. We were able to place our order fairly quickly and they brought it to the table. The only reason this is not a five star is because the guy taking the order was like I don't want to be here, but my mom made me like attitude. Then he is standing right in front of the menu options staring at you. Never said hello, can I help you, any questions or nothing! Then when my wife asked for hers without a bun, it was like you asked for filet mignon for a side. But, other than that, we will go back again. Maybe that guy had just lost his puppy or something.

Brighter Day Cafe is a value proposition with tasty food and kind service.

As for me the Spicy Sausage Omelette was really really good. The sausage had a bite of heat but nothing crazy. Not sure what they used but don't stop - it was that good. We both also had Sweet Teas. We were warned from the start - they are dark and REAL sweet. Which for me was perfect. As for the service: there was one lady (dam forgot her name) taking care of all the guest and she did great. When I say taking care of - I mean everything. Bussing tables, sitting folks, taking orders, and cashing out. Again she was wonderful! The place is neat just like many have said before me. Old 80's type stuff on the walls and tables. Now let me address something that some past Yelpers clearly have an issue with. There are small indications of the owners political views within the location. Nothing crazy at all and unless you really look for it you won't notice. Some past yelpers I who clearly don't agree used this to bust down their Yelp review. That's ridiculous. If the owner wants to voice their opinion- they have every right. It's their place - with their money on the line and their time vested. They clearly treated every guest wonderfully and that's all you should really focused on. So looking for a very good meal (breakfast) at a nice little joint - go on in and enjoy. I'm sure we will be back and might even shoot for the lunch menu next time.

On Tuesday, I decided to stop in for just a shake--and honestly, it was very good. That gave me some hope, so I came back Wednesday for a full meal. Unfortunately, the reviews were right--if anything, they didn't go far enough. The experience started off rough. The cashier had one of the worst attitudes I've come across in any restaurant. No greeting, no help, no acknowledgment--even after I mentioned it was my first time eating there. She seemed completely uninterested in being there and definitely didn't want to help customers. I ordered a shake, double cheeseburger, onion rings, and hush puppies. My shake was slapped down on the counter, and it was so sticky it nearly took two hands to pick it up. The tables were dirty, everything felt sticky, and I was immediately glad I had ordered to-go. The food looked decent in the container, but the taste didn't follow through. It was all just... bad. Greasy, bland, and disappointing. It doesn't seem like the owner has eaten here recently--or maybe even visited the place in a while. If they had, I imagine things would look and feel very different. I'm not going to call the number on the website, because there's really nothing they could say or offer that would convince me to come back. I just wish I'd gone somewhere else.

I will be back again…read more For the most part this place was pretty good. We just came back from seeing the Lion King so the time is about 11:00 p.m. I know I wasn't going home to cook so my daughter suggested we come here for a late night snack. Well in my case I wanted more than a snack. The parking lot as well as inside it was well lit so the Ambiance definitely gave safe and not a hole in the wall type Vibe so definitely pleased with that. It was a little busy as far as patrons inside eating but there was no wait in line Which was a good thing. After looking at the menu for a few minutes I decided on a rice bowl and chose the chicken and shrimp Rice Bowl as well as a garden salad with only lettuce cucumber and cheese. My daughter wanted the honey Ole Bay garlic Wings something to that sort which came with fries and Mom just wanted a side of fries. The bill came up to a little less than $50 ... crazy but that's what we get for stepping out late at night and wanted something convenient so I get that we were paying for convenience all fine and well. Our order was ready in less than 15 minutes even though the guy told us it would be a 15 minute wait. I want to say the food was ready in about 12 minutes which was okay. We drove about 10 minutes away and I began to dive in immediately the food was super hot as far as temperature and overall it was good. I don't think I would get it with the rice again but I would definitely order it again. The chicken was good the shrimp was good cabbage was a bit Tangy but it was okay it wasn't nothing that I couldn't stomach again. My daughter loved hers but every time she goes there she gets the same thing. I did taste some fries... just okay but I'm good on the fries. Nevertheless I would recommend you come here at least to try it out. The menu is massive so it should be something for everyone to try from vegetarian or not. Parking plentiful even though it's located inside of a shopping plaza us arriving 11:30 p.m. at night on a Saturday it was no parking issues at all and I'm sure during daylight hours you wouldn't have an issue as well. You can very well call your order in or place an order online but because this is my first time I ended up waiting until we got to the restaurant to place my order. All in all try them out especially if it's close to the midnight hour and you didn't want to pull up to somebody's drive-thru. If you're in the area definitely check them out. Have fun and enjoy life ;)

It was run down and always had higher prices compared to the Raceway (RW) up the road. A few months ago, the old gas station was demolished, and now we have the 711. Since I drive by often, I've been watching their progress, and today I saw the big "Now Open" sign. So, what did I do? I grabbed my oldest son, and we went over there to check it out. The 711 is much bigger than the older Exxon, but still smaller compared to RW. (I apologize, but I will end up comparing to RW since it's close by and the place most people go to for gas.) 711 has only 8 pumps although plenty of space for maneuvering. Currently, their gas prices are the same as RW, but we shall see if that will change over time. (The 711 location on Godwin has higher prices.) The parking lot is still busy with construction, but I'm sure that will be over soon. The interior of the building is kind of small and cramped. It didn't help that a few employees were working on the floor. One of the staff was using a scanner and it felt like everywhere I went, there she was. I don't like crowds anyway, but it's kind of annoying when employees are making things worse. I didn't get a friendly feeling from the large amount of staff. Most of the items there are fast food junk items and, of course, the ever-popular Slurpee; I did see some healthier choices like nuts, fruit, and yogurt-based dip with pretzels. 711 isn't Wawa, but I'm sure many customers will visit just for the Slurpee. Will *I* be stopping by? Well, I probably will as long as the price is competitive with RW. It's definitely a big improvement over the old Exxon.

Not local, so just something to be aware of. First impression is strong. Specials, awards, and a "Top 25 Burger in the U.S. (2021)" recognition are clearly displayed when you walk in. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality and ambition of the food. The interior is well thought out. Heavy gold-and-black design with light brown accent chairs gives it a polished, upscale feel without being flashy. Leather seating is in great shape, and the tall ceilings paired with black vertical boards make the space feel larger than it is. Lighting is excellent, especially considering there are very few windows. Music is smooth and casual, though to some it could be turned down just a notch. The kitchen is semi-open behind a half wall, which adds to the experience early on as cooking smells build anticipation. Toward the end of my visit, the space did get slightly smoky. I arrived to an empty restaurant, but by the time I left there were around 20-25 people dining. Service was a highlight. Randy showed exceptional hospitality and checked in consistently without hovering. Food hit the table in about six minutes, which is impressive, even considering I was the only guest at first. I ordered the Major Way burger with sautéed onions, bacon, and their house drip sauce. The patty came out piping hot with a great exterior sear, though the interior flavor relies heavily on the sauce. The onions were almost cold, which stood out against the hot patty. The sauce is excellent, creamy with a light spice, and it absolutely carries the burger. Without it, the burger would feel underwhelming by comparison. The bun could benefit from toasting, as the bun struggled to hold everything together. Lettuce and tomato were fresh and crisp. If ordering to go, I'd recommend getting the buns on the side. Traditional wings were done right. Crispy outside, moist inside, and good-sized whole wings. They're essentially well-executed fried chicken wings. While very good, I feel like some seasoning may be burning off in the fryer. I'd love to compare these to their sticky or "everything" wings. Colossal shrimp was excellent. Great batter, excellent house sauce, and perfectly cooked with real texture. The seasoning shines here without tasting burnt. The fries were standout. Easily some of the best I've had in a while. Skinny, twice-fried, fresh-cut potatoes with a (I think) honey BBQ dusting. I intentionally ordered a smaller portion so the photo isn't portioned to size. House-made fruit punch was fantastic. Sweet, clean, and refreshing without that artificial coating you get from bottled drinks. I also appreciate their use of paper bowls and plates instead of styrofoam. The restaurant was clean top to bottom, including the bathrooms, which is always a strong indicator of good management. Overall, this place punches well above its weight. In a larger city, food at this level would easily cost 2.5-5x more. If you're spending lunch money at major fast-food chains nearby, redirect it here. You'll leave full and without that post-fast-food regret.
