Another benefit is the kids membership. My stepdaughter loves coming to the kids club for gymnastics, rock climbing, yoga, and more. I know that she is having fun while I'm doing a class. They have Parents Night Out on the weekends and that's such a nice perk! There's also day camps, which has saved us a few times when we needed child care during a school break. The pool is also wonderful in the summertime. The cafe food is average. I'd love it if the quality was amped up just a bit. The only thing I really ever get is the vegan PB& B shake. It's delicious! It has peanut butter, banana, cafe mocha greens, almond milk, and vegan protein powder. I haven't been to the salon yet, but it's great that this is an option. Overall, I love this gym and I would go every day if I could.

I have…read morebeen a member there for just about 9 months and unfortunately sustained an injury that prohibits me from working out, instead of simply giving a doctors note to the actual location and facility I use, Gold's Gym will give you the run around and make you go submit a form with their 3rd party payment provider called Peak Payment Solutions, meanwhile Peak's support takes "5-7 business days" to respond and will keep charging your account. I find it strange that the organization and physical location of the facility you use is unable to do a medical freeze but instead will route you to a 3rd party. I have a suspicion they want to make the process so arduous that the member just gives up and they can continue to collect unjust fees. The FTC just filed a lawsuit against LA Fitness for similar practices. I have logged a complaint with both the FTC and the NC DOJ for bad business practices. If anyone has experienced a similar situation with Gold's Gym, I urge you to do the same and hopefully you don't get injured!!

They also are never any help when you come to them with questions about your "contract". I got a new credit card and needed to remove my card that was expiring from my payment method. The process was impossible. 2 weeks passed before anybody could give me an answer on how to change my payment method. Then, when it finally got switched, I got hit with late fees and a service charge totaling over $100. An absolute joke of a gym. Stay away at all costs.

They're not looking you up and down and making you feel bad. Trust me, I've seen some places. (2) If you're looking for a community of people who just want to lose weight with or if you're like me and just tired of the regular routines and enjoy circuit training, this is the place for you. I weight lift but occasionally get lazy with the same old workouts. So this is fun for me. I'm sure you'll also enjoy it. (3) Location is perfect. Far for me, but perfect location-wise. (4) They have a morning schedule (that I can't make) and they have late afternoon schedule that usually between 5 to 7 pm. They have some sessions on Saturdays mornings only. (5) Their is a meal plan that they suggest you follow. My only take on that is if you plan to lose the weight you probably should be dieting anyway. I had just lost 10 lbs before attending attending this place. There is no trick to it I think. Self discipline. It's definitely worth checking out. I found the problem with my "payment showing a problem"…read more We were having an issue with a particular card so I called the club and a female staff member updated my card over the phone and took the payment. All good now, so I thought! I was never told that I needed to update ABC (the billing company) with the new card number, I assumed that calling the club itself Anytime Fitness Lake Wheeler that my card payment would be updated with ABC (billing company) however ABC kept trying to use my old card that was canceled on my biweekly payments. "Causing a payment problem " and late fees I'll never see again I just updated with ABC the correct card myself. Staff should be trained to inform members to also contact ABC when changing a card for payment ( even if it's in the contract ) I have been charged late fees because the payment would not process on the old card but I had updated a new card with the staff member over the phone and I was told my card was declined. Then to tell me I must have made a payment to my credit card (that was cancelled) for the payment to go through the next day which was causing late fees is disrespectful. There were two cards on file because the staff member didn't remove the cancelled card! ABC billing using the old canceled card and then the gym using the updated new card. My final payment is coming in 2 weeks. Way to expensive. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Some people can't afford late fees every 2 weeks until it's figured out.

Laura was extremely responsive, responding within the hour of my email. Olympica was at the front desk when I arrived for my scheduled 7:45 Friday tour. My tour with Olympia was informative but also straight to the point. Most of my questions were answered. I was referred online for a description of the classes offered. I've visited a few times already for a few workouts. I like the turf training area. I have spent most of my cardio workout sessions on the elliptical machine. Very smooth cardio ride, with no squeaks, and the elliptical seems to be in good working condition. I enjoyed my free personal training session with Coach King. King's training style is challenging and motivating. O2 Fitness seems like a quality workout experience with and without a trainer. Overall good experience. I saw a machine that could use a dust down at the bottom (near foot areas), and at least one elliptical I used could stand to be replaced due to a worn-out part. I've found it to be a bit warmer than I would like for a gym (without a ceiling fan). Perhaps the temp of the AC should be reviewed.
