I stopped by to ask about a one-month membership, but instead of listening to what I was asking, I was interrupted, talked over, and treated in a dismissive, condescending manner. Customer service matters, especially when someone is considering becoming a member. The interaction alone was enough for me to decide to take my business elsewhere. I won't be back, and based on my experience, I'll be telling the people in my network to stay away from this gym.

It was super pack which I understand and they couldn't give us a tour so we decided to take the free pass and try it for a bit. They gave other people tours but said no to us for some reason. The pool and outside part of the gym was closed and not ready so keep in mind if you pay for membership you don't have access to everything yet. I currently go to O2 I was ready to go to a new gym but this gym really is too crowded and kind of outdated for what it is. Machines were super close together. They try to just add stuff with out logic of spacing when people actual use them. The membership seems expensive with a lot of extra fees to use other parts. I think it more of a check a box fake appeal but when you really look at it... The gym does everything but just not well. Also, people did not clean up after themselves. That not the fault of the gym but the culture here seems to be a lot of people who do not know proper gym equiuette like wiping up or putting your weights away.

The one hour class was easy to follow for a new comer and you could easier tailor it to your fitness level as almost all of the activities we did were using your own body as resistance. We did a circuit workout with Tabata added in, a term I'd never heard of until my workout. Tabata is a high-intensity style of workout where you do twenty seconds on with ten seconds rest, with about 3-5 rounds of each exercise. I liked that we hit every muscle: legs, arms, backs and added in cardio with laps to start and in between muscle groups. The gym is build to help obstacle course races, so in addition to the circuit workouts they offer, they also offer almost anything you could imagine to train for your upcoming race: rope climbs, monkey bars, wall climbs, an assortment of hanging bars and rings to practice on and much more. If you're looking for a spot to train for your next obstacle course race, I'd definitely recommend Legend FIT Gym. And if you want to test them out before joining, they do offer a one week "trial" for newbies.

The bootcamp workout is very challenging, but has opportunities for scaling down. The obstacles are very cool and varied: a few different types of monkey bars, rings, ropes, a cargo net, an 8ft wall. The class was dynamic, the music was fun, and the other participants were super encouraging! Wow.. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with this facility. After reading the 5 star reviews that had…read morehappened in the past, I figured it was great, however that was no longer the case. This facility looks great from the front (the storefront has 3 doors), making it look like a really big facility., however when you enter the facility, there is no one working at the front desk. The room to the side (on the right) is a padded room, where the pads do not even look like it meant to fit in that room) and is used for a Muay Thai class. you go through a set of doors behind the front desk and you are greeted by an unfinished looking gym where it is concrete and a loading dock door. It is very messy looking, and on the side is a small set of Mats where the jiu jitsu class was taking place. I don't remember the name of the instructor, however when i told him that my kids have had experience in the past, he brushed it off. When the class was over, my 2 daughters left saying they never wanted to go back because the instructor told one of the ladies on the side saying that there is no way that these girls have experience...in front of my girls (ages 10 and 13). that is very disrespectful. When they left, the instructor didn't even apologize for it. Just noted that when I tell someone that they are experienced in the future, that it should mean they know how to train properly. (on a side note), you can tell that this was not a real gym by the fact there was only 1 other child in the class (other than the instructors own kids). A little class, patience and respect goes a long way. This instructor definitely needs to understand that going forward if they plan on growing their business.

If your looking to be social, meet friends and more it's possible but to say this hospital affiliated fitness center is not clean as most gyms is ridiculous, if anything they are getting inspected far more than most centers being in relationship with UNC.
