Off the bat, I came here specifically for Muay Thai, so can't comment on the others…read more So, I'm kind of having a hard time with this review. They are super, super nice people... but it's just not quite there. I've been to a bunch of better and worse Muay Thai gyms, and this place falls somewhere in the bottom. 1. Quality. This is really the biggest issue; nobody there is really qualified to teach Muay Thai. One of the trainers is a (lovely!) kid of 17 or 18 who just does not have enough experience, and the other is an older man who just has no muay thai skills. I never did see any of the trainers listed on their website teach anything. I know this is the East Coast and not the most metropolitan area, but even basics are not really there. There are no drills and pretty much no technical work. Lots of long combinations that don't always make sense, and not strenuous enough to count as a workout. Even worse, what's going on is frequently quite unsafe. There is a lot of training without proper gear (shin guards, hand wraps etc) and way too much hard sparing for people's level of ability. We all get it, it's martial arts, but what it should not be is people walking out of there with bruises everywhere because they've been whaling on each other or doing kicks without pads. 2. Rates. These are pretty high for what you get, and come with a 2x a week maximum. Once you're there you can take more than one class, but it still sucks that you basically have to pack all workouts into two days rather than being able to come when you want to. So you basically need another gym to work out at. 3. Scheduling and space. The classes are all at 6 and 7pm, which, for someone who works, is just really tough. Which means that unless you're actively in a class, as above, you need another gym. 4. Facilities. This might be a personal gripe, but it stops it from being a 'real' gym in my eyes - there are no showers. This means that there is no way to go work out, and then do anything else outside of go home and shower. Also... this is picky, but their heavy bags are not filled correctly and thus provide very little resistance and are too soft, and I remember someone saying about one of the bags that it had 'something hard inside' which, again, is quite unsafe, and kind of makes me wonder if they even know what it's filled with...? So... in summary. I can't really recommend it. It just doesn't feel like a safe space that's conducive to either learning or working out.

I always want to learn some boxing and here it is - a perfect place and location for me to learn…read more The coach is nice and wonderful. He not only gives boxing lessons but also gives instructions on cardio work out which is essential. Here, you can lend boxing wraps and boxing gloves and all you need for each class is to be there and get ready to punch some bags. Highly recommend!!

Sorry, Coach! Since my last review B2B has actually moved locations. The downside, for me, is that it's a further commute which often winds up translating into me being late for class. But there are far more upsides. The new space, while similar in size, is much cheerier, with bright white walls and sunlight filtering in. It also has AC, which not only makes a more comfortable gym environment, also allows for class to keep schedule even in these hellacious 110-degree months. Harold has added a lot of additional equipment over time, including double-end bags, speed-bags that size down as small as a grapefruit, and some bane-of-my-existance ab wheels. And I still love coming here. From mitt-work to footwork, weight lifting to interval training, heavy-bag speed drills to track, it seems like we've done it all. But as soon as I start thinking that, Harold introduces something new and challenging and interesting. And it's effective. I've dropped weight, gained muscle, and really seen myself grow. In a recent push-up challenge to failure, I completed 81! Eighty-one push-ups, ya'll. From not being able to do a single chin-up, I can now knock out 3. Harold's been a big component of helping me reach my potential, but also to keep looking beyond that and strive for more. If you're looking for a truly unique workout in an intimate environment where you're sure to benefit from a personal approach to workouts, from an instructor who meets you where you are fitness-wise, do yourself a favor and check out a class here. A few quirks: no music & no mirrors (so no distractions; though sometimes I wonder about my form without being able to see it). Also no water cooler, so remember to pack a big bottle because you WILL sweat.

The instructor "the hand grenade" has ZERO energy/ quality motivation besides a monotone "you're almost done" 3. He never gave any feedback during the strength training portion on techniques 4. The weight stations were not adequately set up ie too heavy weights and no lighter options in sight 5. I have been to other boxing classes and this one did not challenge me at all, unless you count the weight stations where the weights were too heavy so you had could only do a few reps or modify it to something else completely and on your own terms since he was too busy on his phone/tablet to notice 6. The front desk: when getting fitted for my gloves that I will never use again we couldn't figure out the size and I showed her that my finger had lost circulation and she said that was good...then later while the instructor was talking to the class the front desk girl came up behind me and poked my arm/elbow for me to sign the liability waver. Why didn't she tap my shoulder/say excuse me? Overall very weird and disappointing class

Training your body doesnt take…read morejust dedication, you have to have time (at least 30mins a day) to work on yourself and discipline. The word Discipline is easy to say, but in our day to day activity there's so many temptation that can ruin our motivation. He helped me to plan my diet, how I can start my morning and end my day with healthy nutrition. He suggested taking fruits and nuts daily and avoid dairy, it might sound simple. But again, once I started implementing and following his advice, I saw big results from my energy level and gradually into body result. We train 30 minutes a day depending on your work schedule, you'll have one an one evaluation with him, whats your body goals and how to achieve it. I love that he incorporate boxing in between our session that helped me sharpen my mind and stay aware with my surrounding. We split our training focusing in different areas of our muscle, he showed me proper way to do certain exercises to activate your muscle and how to avoid injury. He always remind me "Mind and Body Connection", and it works!!! In 3 months, I started to feel the results in my body, muscles that I've never thought I'll be able to train it. I saw changes in my muscle tonality and overall my perspective in healthy eating. Big Thanks Jae!!!! I highly recommend training with him, he's very informative and experienced trainer, he won't fail you!
