After talking with this company, they offered me the best quote compared to all the other businesses and I was genuinely thankful, since a lot of these guys are known to overcharge. Anyways, moving day came and everything was perfect. They were polite, assisted me in moving all my boxes and packing up everything CAREFULLY, and taking special care of fragile things. I've used this company twice before and had such a great experience that I've recommended them to…read moremany people. Unfortunately, I feel like the third time was the charm...in the worst way. For some reason, this time I was assigned movers who seemed to have absolutely no sense of urgency. They moved extremely slowly throughout the entire process, to the point that even the leasing agent on the 1st flr commented on how long they were holding up the elevator and potentially damaging it by just having it ait idle and open. Even after that, there still didn't seem to be any urgency to move things along. What was especially frustrating was that instead of one person going downstairs to grab the next item while the other continued working, they seemed to insist on waiting for their partner before going back down. Then they left the dresser just siting outside instead of bringing it in ehich added more time instead of just doing it the first time. My bf was helping some as well because we had to hurry things along. There were several moments where the process could have been much more efficient, but they simply lacked the urgency and teamwork I had experienced with this company previously. The biggest disappointment is that I KNOW what good service from this company looks like. The first two times I used them, I had the same two movers, and they were absolutely amazing, efficient, professional, and constantly moving. If I had those same movers again, I would gladly pay the price because the service was worth it. Unfortunately, these last two movers completely changed my opinion of the company. It's not even about the price. I would rather pay more for good service than pay less and watch a move drag on because there is a lack of urgency. My advice to anyone using this company: take pictures and videos throughout your move, especially when you notice things that appear inefficient or careless. I say this because the company may tell you afterward that the movers worked efficiently, but I have personally experienced what efficient service from this company looks like--and this was not it. I still believe this can be a great company, which is why I'm so disappointed. I went from recommending them to people to seriously questioning whether I would ever use them again. Hopefully management takes this feedback seriously, because the quality of the movers can completely change a customer's experience with an otherwise great company. Workflow: - straightforward online form instead of trying to make a phone call during business hours while at work - email confirmation right after submitting form and again two days prior to the move - as described in their email, on the morning of, I received a phone call within an hour before, informing me that they were on the way - they arrived just before the scheduled time (I was their first move of the day) - I had packed the things I wanted them to move in advance, so I showed them the piles of things I wanted them to move - we signed the contract (all the things I expected + insurance option, with the default basic option as a price per weight reimbursement for any damaged items) - without even having to say much to each other they knew where to start - wrapped all the big furniture in blankets and duct tape - couch cushions were temporarily a little squished as they do during a move, but there were no damages to anything - after the move, I verified that everything had been moved and signed the post-move part of the contract Pros: - perfect workflow for a zellenial who's used to ordering things online and they magically appear - the team understood that my goal was to stay within the 3h, told me it was definitely reasonable, and were ultimately able to accomplish it - paid in cash and exactly as quoted (minus the $75 deposit) with no surprise fees and no extra charge for supplies or gas or stairs

When I called the office and spoke to Glen, he asked me to send photos of the damage, which I did. Then he ghosted me -- and blocked my number. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Zero accountability, terrible customer service, and an owner who blocks paying customers when his employees break things. I attached a few pictures of some the items that were damaged. There were more, but the speakers, you can't see the damage -- they just don't work anymore -- and we all saw the mover drop it. And there was also a recliner that was severely damaged. Beau, the owner, visited us and gave an estimate that was very competitive. Throughout the move process they had very good communication. Before the move, we packed up most of the things ourselves, but Phoenix offered to have some of their office staff pack up the fragile items like dishes and art work on an hourly rate. This really helped! On the day of the move, they were on time and they brought in 10 people to pack the van and get us on our way quickly. When they moved us, they did not consolidate and transfer our things to another van, our things stayed in the same van until it reached its final destination. When they unpacked, they were very professional and efficient. To summarize, we had a great experience moving with Phoenix Express and I would highly recommend them for anyone to move with!

I would not recommend Step-by-Step Moving & Delivery based on our experience…read more Last month, they moved my daughter's belongings from one house to another in Plano--a distance of less than one mile. We requested a crew of three movers, but they showed up with four. One of the crew members appeared to be very young and inexperienced, possibly under 17. Instead of helping move items efficiently, he spent a long time trying to dismantle a crib with a screwdriver. I politely suggested that they simply move the crib without taking it apart, since it would save time. Apparently, he didn't appreciate the suggestion and went to speak with the crew leader. To my surprise, the entire crew stopped working and refused to continue until I left my daughter's house. They claimed it was because of "liability," but they couldn't clearly explain what liability they were referring to. We ended up losing about 45 minutes before they finally resumed the move. The entire experience was very unprofessional. Before the job started, everyone was friendly, but once they began working, the pace was extremely slow. It often felt like they were moving one small item at a time instead of working efficiently. A four-person crew took nearly the entire day to move the contents of a four-bedroom house less than a mile away. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Step-by-Step Moving & Delivery. If you're looking for movers who work efficiently and professionally, I would suggest considering other companies. This photo shows the moving crew standing around instead of working. We waited nearly 45 minutes while the job was at a standstill after I politely suggested a faster way to move a crib.
