Moving out because I can't ever get a hold of anyone. I've been calling the office for the past 3 months and nothing. Tried to go to the office twice, and no one was there. Tried the chat, and I got the message: "Thank you for your message. Our agents are currently unavailable. If you are attempting to contact us between 5:00AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), please try again in a few minutes". (I did try in a "few minutes" a good amount of times). I arrived on time, but the office was locked and, of course, no one was there. After calling customer service multiple times and getting bounced around, I ultimately canceled. Moved into a 5x6 unit just 5.5 months ago for $19/mo. A clause in your contract allows them to change the price within 6 months. They just raised it to $36/mo. That represents an 89% increase in price. Huh?! . It took 2 voicemails and 3 calls to get the local territory manager Jessica on the phone and she declined to lower it from $36 citing market rates despite the world's equity markets plummeting. Hmm...Seems super fair and not at all predatory to me To boot our unit is on the second story, non climate controlled, and after 2 months the outer metal roller door (which we share with other smaller units) became stuck 1/2 the way closed, which causes us to crouch over to move packages in and out. We will be moving out stuff just out of principle. That said, the regular woman (Patricia I think) who runs the front office is nice and helpful upon move in so there's that. read more

Terrible service. Take your money when you move in. Increased our rates in less than 2 years from 180 to over 300 per month. Cancellation process is a nightmare. No one answers the phone. Been by property twice during open hours and they are not actually open and online app won't cancel you. Tells you to contact the property manager that doesn't answer the phone and isn't there when you drive an hour to come by. Technology is great but replaces being able to get a person on a phone and then they just have robots repeating themselves and its not helpful. Human interaction is still the best part of business not apps and websites and bots. read more

Tineeka and Becky were amazing at the Aubrey (Gazebo location) storage. They took care of me at every turn. They set you up on the app so that you do not have to deal with codes. Everything can be done from the app including payment, move out, access etc. Their facility is always sparkling clean. They have a commercial dehumidifier that no other storage company I have ever seen has, which will keep the moisture away from antiques, linens, anything that you treasure. Even if you have to drive a little farther, this is the place to be. I have rented from many facilities over the years and I would come back to this one for any of my storage needs. I rented a climate-controlled unit for approximately six weeks. On a recent visit to store property, we discovered the celling was leaking and water had spilled on to our stuff. I got the manager and after stepping on our property, she advised us after we expressed our concerns that "we stored our stuff at our own risk" and she would provide the number to the DM and insurance company. To immediately alleviate our problem, well that was up to us...she was unable or unwilling to provide any paper towels, mops, etc. She suggested we either move our stuff away from the leaking celling (our unit was full) or move it to another unit on the property. She commented more than once nothing she said would "make up happy." (Some compassion would have been nice and not stepping on our property when she came to inspect the unit would have also been appreciated.) We chose neither option nor moved our belongings to another property with another company. I called the DM and left two messages, neither call has been returned. Rent at your own risk. The property manager seemed Ainconvenienced by our dissatisfaction. While I understand it may be "at our own risk," I did expect to rent a unit in a building that was not in disrepair. As a final note, two days later we moved (at our expense) to another unit. I did what was asked and spoke to a young lady and advised her the unit was vacated and I needed to cancel the billing. Though I was told I would get an email confirming cancelling, I did not. Turns out she never cancelled it and I am glad I called or they would have gotten another month's rent. Regarding the DM not returning my calls I was simply told; you aren't the first to say that. This place left much to be desired. So glad we moved to another place that cares about their customers. read more

Stay away from Public Storage! I stored the contents of home in this Public Storage for seven months, and on the day I went to retrieve the items (2 mattresses/box springs, one couch, chair w/ottoman, 2 dressers w/mirrors, dining room table w/6 chairs, etc) I found a gigantic tarp covering the building (approx 25 units total in the building). I opened the door to find ALL of my belongings soaked with water. Fungus was growing on wood items. Puddles of water covered the floor. Upon investigation, I found out that the tarp had been on the building for 4 weeks and no one ever called me or any of the other tenants. The District Manager, Jeffrey Clarke, told my husband that he was waiting for funds to repair the roof and "that's why you have insurance." Two days later I met with Jeffrey Clarke to inspect the unit and when I opened the door (and it was actually raining INSIDE the unit), he said "well, looks like we should move you to another unit." Jeffrey Clarke and other representatives from Public Storage take NO responsibility for the damage to my items. They do not plan to contact any of the other tenants of the building. Jeffrey Clarke even refused to refund the seven months of rent that I paid on that unit. He said "well, we don't know WHEN your belongings were damaged." When I warned another tenant of potential water damage Jeffrey Clarke told me to stop talking to other tenants. read more

I have been with this facility for a couple of months. The experience has been horrible. Stephanie is rude. She even went as far to explain she is trying to quit smoking which is not my concern. When the light went out the first month, I left a message to not get a return call on fixing the issue. Then my fiancee approached a representative in the office to mention the light was out and nothing was mentioned to us on fixing the issue. I called a third time to mention the light was out and Stephanie returned my call. She was so extremely rude that I said to her I have had her being rude since we came to the facility and I would like to speak with a manager. She hung up on me. I called the 800# to escalate and they took notes. Then they gave me the property manager's number in which the manager still has yet to respond. Professionalism is key when dealing with customers. They don't care about my being a customer nor do they treat with respect. I would never recommend anyone to use Public Storage and definitely not this location. read more
