A new favorite spot! I stopped by here with a friend on a chilly day and it was perfect. We started out with the cucumbers (10/10 we loved them). The spicy soup was incredible and super flavorful I'll definitely order it again next time I'm here. The presentation was also amazing! And the unlimited noodle refills was great as well. Serving sizes are large, I had enough to take home leftovers for the next day. Service here is GREAT! Super friendly and fast. First time trying this restaurant, and enjoyed our dinner. The soups were flavorful and delicious and they each came with vegetable sides. The ingredients were excellent and fresh. Did not know to let the meat cook for a few minutes by itself before adding the vegetables, so the waiter took that bowl to the kitchen to cook and make sure our food was cooked thoroughly. One fun thing about here is you can request more noodles once your initial serving is finished. Not AYCE. Inside, the restaurant felt inviting and clean. There were plenty of booths for seating. The restaurant is located on Eat Street. Parking can be challenging, but it's comparable to other restaurants in the area. The noodles are prepared in the traditional Yunnan style from China. You'll be served an extremely hot stone bowl filled with piping hot soup. You then add the ingredients to the soup to cook them. After 2-3 minutes, you can enjoy the delicious result--it's a super fun experience! I highly recommend trying the sour pickle soup. The waiters were very friendly, and the service was quick. You can scan their app to get a $2 discount. The space is uniquely decorated with Chinese bamboo and traditional hats, adding to the ambiance. A friend told me that this was a real and authentic location to get this dish and it did not disappoint! I came with a few friends and The service was great and fast and the staff were all kind! They let us try 3 different types of broths first - we tried the tomato broth, one of the spicy broths, and the original. All were delicious! The one that stood out to me was the tomato broth and the original. The tomato was like a nice warm soup that I'd like to go with grill cheese, and the original was so smooth and flavorful. I decided to go with the original broth with pork belly and it was amazing! Everything came out spectacularly and you get unlimited noodles! We walked into the restaurant and were greeted by a very kind man who sat us immediately. The restaurant was very clean and not super busy. We ordered the popcorn chicken and smashed cucumbers to start our meal off and thought both tasted great! The cucumber was perfectly balanced in flavor and super crunchy. For our main meals we ordered the Tom Yum & Pork Belly bowl and the Original & pork belly bowl. The broths were very flavorful and delicious. I loved how hot the bowl kept the soup. I was a little bit surprised by how little came in the tray for the add ins but it ended up being more than enough! The pork belly was extremely tender and delicious and the add ins nicely complimented the soup. The noodles you're given with the meal were chewy and delicious! You get a big portion. Our server was extremely nice and our food was brought out quickly. All of our food only came out to around $50. For the excellent food & service, i thought that was a very fair price! I'm not in the downtown area as often as I'd like to be. But when I am, I have to find yummy food! Walked into Cross Bridge Noodle right at 5pm on a Friday and it was still quiet inside. The server welcomed us in right away. The ambience was exactly what I was craving for a soup dinner. Our server was so kind & attentive, he even offered us to try the soup broths before ordering. This gesture amazed me. We ended up splitting Shrimp Fried Rice & the Tom Yum Soup (not as spicy as I anticipated and was so thankful to try to broth first). Both hit the spot. Our extended family was looking for a place to get a late dinner. Quang down the road was closing soon and we thought we could try something new. Everyone said (age ranging from 15 to 70) that this is their new favorite place on Eat Street. Service was amazing, food was delicious and unique (in that many of the dishes are cooked in their amazing broth in stone bowls at your table), and the setting was very comfortable. Okay, where to start? Spacious, bright, spotlessly clean bathrooms? No, but that is true. Warm, peaceful, inviting dining space? Also no, but also true. Helpful, attentive service, on point for a newbie to the restaurant, complete with free tastings of broth to help one decide - what, am I at a brewery? Our server deserved every penny of that 20% tip he got. But the real star here is of course the soups. The sour pickle pepper chicken based broth was a delightful surprise, not pickle-y in a dill pickle way or like a pickled jalapeño, but definitely sour (vinegar? lemon? both?). However I chose the spicy soup, which I'd give it a seven on a 0-10 scale. Spicy enough to make your throat catch once or twice during the meal, but not enough to overpower the rich flavor of the broth or the mellow flavors of the tofu skin, tofu strips, or bamboo shoots I got to toss in. Broth stayed hot in the black stone bowl, supported by a bamboo bowl holder stamped with the restaurant's name and beautiful logo. I opted for the beef brisket, and let me tell you it was a generous portion of tender, flavorful, unctuous, toothsome beef. The noodles, served on the side and meant to be added to the broth, were unlike any I'd had before, rice noodles that looked like spaghetti but had such a silky texture and al dente bite, I was truly amazed and impressed. Not made in house, I'm told, but hey - where can I buy these to cook at home!?! This was a wonderful surprise of a dinner for me and I hope you'll give them a try. read more
