I opened up the bag that was covering my supposedly cleaned Burberry trench coat and there were huge, black splotches on both sides of the front and on the sleeves. The coat is a light color and had had moderate dirt from regular wear. I couldn't imagine what Crest had done to it and brought it in. The manager, Mario, was out that day and I was told he'd call me the next day. When I didn't hear from him I called him. Hard to do, BTW, because they don't answer their business phone. I had to finally call the main number and have them contact him by mobile. Pretty shady already. He accused me of having worn the coat and having done the damage myself! This coat had clearly just come out of the bag with their pressing, their hanger, and their bag. I was very upset and he just laughed at me and proceeded to insult me. So I went over there. He continued to lie to me, saying that he has never sent anything out looking like my coat looked. In spite of the evidence right in front of him. Clearly Mario has more need to be "right" than to be honorable. His demeanor was completely arrogant and rude. At no time did he suggest any way to remedy the situation. A professional would have offered to try to clean and restore the coat with a promise of some financial settlement if the damage could not be repaired. That never happened. He was supposed to talk to his boss and call me "at 3:30pm the next day" because "that's when he makes his calls". Which he didn't do, of course. Days have gone by and I've heard nothing. I also have no way to get in touch with this mystery boss. I've now read some other negative reviews on this page and they ring true based on my experience.Too bad you can't give negative stars for a company. I don't know how Mario keeps his job. I do know that Crest Cleaners destroyed a valuable coat and treated me like the dirt they were supposed to remove. read more

I've been going to the South Lakes Crest Cleaners since my office moved this past December. I've been exceptionally pleased with their service- my clothes have always been ready when they said they'd be ready, the staff is genuinely friendly (not just the plastic "have a nice day" sort of response), and my clothes have always been in top shape to wear to work. Prior to our having moved from another office in Reston, I took my clothes to a cleaners in the strip mall adjacent to where I worked. Talk about night and day- they ironed creases into my clothes where creases shouldn't be, my clothes were frequently not ready when they were supposed to be, they destroyed one of my dress shirts and were hit or miss with regards to staff friendliness. Crest may cost a bit more, but it's definitely work it. I'm especially impressed that Mario remembers and calls me by name every time I come in. All in all, Crest is a top notch cleaners with the added benefit of being convenient to where I work- I couldn't ask for more. read more

Crest Cleaners customer for years. Pretty sure I have filled up four of those recycle your hangers carboard containers. Why? Staff is top rate and friendly--they even have my last two phone nr digits memorized so that my clothes are moving toward the front where they can recover them quickly. I like that they break my buttons less than "the other guys (that are cheaper); when they do break my buttons (infrequently) they sew them back on if spares are available.Mario Majano and the South Lakes crew are the best. I trust them with my Brooks Bro suits and Hickey Freeman Tux and Calvin Klein microfiber blazer and my leather. Even my college baseball cap. They read the care instructions and follow them. I work for Great American Restaurant as a server and we are required to have a fresh shirt dry cleaned for every shirt. Crest does an amazing job with my dry cleaning, they're always so quick with the turn around time and Mario always makes sure to double check with me if I want my shirts starched or not for that week. As soon as I pull up to the store front, he recognizes my car and has my dry cleaning ready as soon as I step through the door! They also have bags they can give you to drop off your dry cleaning at night after hours which is usually when I get off and it's always ready the next day! I have been using this Crest Cleaners for several years now. I started out dropping my clothes off at the store. They have always been friendly and call me by name. When the door to door service was offered I signed up! The service is superb, the only problem was I didn't get to see their freindly faces as often. Mario and the Crest Cleaning Crew are truly amazing. I gave Crest a pair of family heirloom retro basketball shorts from the late 60s. They were faded and stained white and red, with dirt marks all over. I gave them to Mario as the trust I have built with these guys, with my day to day clothing handling, is immeasurable. Crest Cleaners is by far the best in the business. I've been to other dry cleaners and the end result is never a positive experience as my buttons are always ruined (smashed/broken) somehow but I guess you get what you pay for. That said, this has never been the case with Crest Clearners as they have never ruined any of my garment buttons. It's pricey but well worth it. They're excellent. The manager, Mario, not only remembers my name but also remembers the last 4 digits of my phone number which is used to find my cleaning on the rack. He sees me out the front window of the store when I park and my clothes are at the counter when I walk through the door. The cleaning is very good.
