However, I want to talk about the front store because, for the first time in a couple of years, I actually felt like taking the time to leave a review. I had a bad experience here several years ago and didn't really want to come back. But I went in last week, and something had changed. There was a new employee.... a very kind, Tall....beautiful, patient, and respectful young woman who treated me with genuine kindness. I also noticed the way she interacted with other customers, especially the elderly. She was incredibly patient and respectful with them, which really stood out to me. She was smiling the entire time and made the store feel much more welcoming. What really caught my attention was that she asked me how I was doing and whether I had found everything I needed. Those little things made a big difference because it showed that she genuinely cared about the customer experience. That's why I wanted to take the time to leave this review. I really hope they continue hiring more people like her. I just wanted to recognize her kindness, patience, professionalism, and positive attitude. Employees like her can really change the way a customer feels about a store.... And for that reason I will coming back again

The candle was a hand-carved orange and white sunburst candle that was naturally scented with essential oils. Very nice aroma, made well and my mother found a perfect matching candle holder. She was very happy with the detail also. The aftershave came in an antique looking brown bottle (medicine bottles of 1800s flavor) with a unique label. Somewhat nautical in theme and adhered the old-fashioned way (glossy paste) so big plus on detail again. The scent was a peppery musk smell that had a good masculine tone. My father was very happy with it (and my mother, maybe that's why...) He says it has replaced what he's been using. So two perfect gifts so far, and I will definitely shop here again. Highly recommend. Can't wait for future creations!

This used to be the most-visited Indian grocery store in the Union City area. And yes, I know,…read morethere are a lot more Indian grocery options around now. Competition is real, and honestly, that's great for customers. That said, this store feels like it may have passed its prime a bit. They still carry the basics (and that's important), but the fresh grocery selection feels inconsistent. On the flip side, there's a noticeably bigger focus on frozen meals and frozen options, which is convenient... but it's not quite the same as walking in and feeling confident about the fresh picks. A bigger concern for me: a few times I visited, I noticed items that were close to--or possibly past--their prime/expiration date. That's the kind of thing that makes shoppers hesitate, especially when there are so many alternatives nearby. I genuinely think a little refresh would go a long way: - tighter inventory rotation - clearer quality checks - small clean-up / organization upgrades This is still a local business, and I'd like to see them bounce back. I'll continue to support when I can but I really hope they tighten up on options and inventory so it feels like the go-to spot again.

The first was when my Christmas cards were not delivered on time, and now this latest issue involved a same-day personalized 24th anniversary card. I was away for the weekend celebrating my anniversary, so I asked my daughter to pick up the card for me. She went in the same day, but staff told her there was a problem with their printer. They said they would call once it was resolved, but no one ever followed up. When we returned home Monday, my daughter had already gone to school. Since Walgreens never contacted us, she later stopped by again to pick up the card. Unfortunately, it still was not ready. This time, she was told I needed to select a different size. She relayed that message to me, but when I went online, there was no option available to choose a different size. As a result, I had to make a card myself on regular paper, which was far less special than what I had originally ordered. After 20 years of using Walgreens for printing services, it is disappointing to see such a decline in reliability and customer service.

I would like to report a very disappointing experience at the Walgreens pharmacy located at 1795…read moreCapitol Expy, San Jose, CA 95121. I had been experiencing severe tooth pain for several days, which I believe was related to my wisdom tooth. The pain was so intense that I could not sleep, and I was having sharp, throbbing pain that seemed to radiate through my head. A dentist prescribed me an antibiotic because of my condition. When I went to this Walgreens to pick up my medication, the female pharmacist on duty told me that I could not receive it unless I contacted my dentist and asked the dentist to call another Walgreens to confirm the prescription. At that point, it was already around 9:00 PM, and the dental office was closed, so there was no realistic way for me to do what she was asking. I was already in severe pain and became so overwhelmed that I cried at the pharmacy. I understand that pharmacists have policies and responsibilities they must follow, but I felt that the female pharmacist showed very little understanding or compassion for how urgent and painful my situation was. I was not asking for medication without a prescription -- the medication had already been prescribed by a dentist. What made the experience even more frustrating was that I later drove approximately 20 minutes to another Walgreens, where I was able to pick up the same prescribed medication without being required to call my dentist for additional confirmation. I am disappointed that the situation was handled so differently between two Walgreens locations. I hope this complaint can be reviewed so that patients who are experiencing severe pain and urgent situations can be treated with more understanding, compassion, and clear communication in the future.

I received a notification that my dad's prescriptions were ready for pickup, so I went to the pharmacy expecting a quick transaction. Instead, I was told I had to wait for the pharmacist to release the medications because there had been a change. When I asked what the change was, no one could explain it, and I couldn't find anything different on the prescription label. To make matters worse, I had to wait over 15 minutes for the pharmacist to return and approve the release. I didn't have extra time to sit and wait because I needed to get my dad to a scheduled appointment. If the medication isn't actually available for pickup, then why does the website and notification system say it's ready? Unfortunately, this isn't the first issue we've had at this location. My dad receives a monthly injection, and during our last refill they gave us the runaround for three days, claiming they couldn't reach his doctor for approval on needles. The problem was that there was already a valid refill on file the entire time. It took them three days to figure that out. People don't have time to make multiple trips and deal with repeated pharmacy issues just to get medications they depend on. Because of the ongoing problems, poor communication, and wasted time, I will be transferring my dad's prescriptions to another pharmacy. Of you need your medicine in a timely manner skip this location and go elsewhere.

There are a lot of Bandon looking cars or RVs, where I pretty sure people are living out of them since the windows look boarded up or have trash bags with duct tape along the edges. Granted that has nothing to do with the store. It attracts a certain in clientele. I'm only giving three stars because the parking lot was also not lit which goes back to the owner of this plaza as well as the questionable cars that have moved in. Every time I've come to this particular pharmacy there's always been at least a 25 minute wait! The people seem very nice that are working behind the counter, but goodness!! This particular day, apparently my prescription was sent to a different pharmacy and I just got a text message from their app telling me to pick it up. I checked the app later and it was my fault, it does give the details of which location of Walgreens but since the last pick up I had was at this particular location I came here without checking the details on the text. So basically come here stand in line and check your emails! Lol
