This was my first and last experience with Walgreens pharmacy in Hollister, CA. My experience was so disappointing I had to submit a complaint to corporate. This town does not deserve or tolerate wrongdoing. What: I needed antibiotics morning of 5/26 my prescription was sent to them at 11:45am i gave the pharmacy a two hour window to complete once arriving i waiting 15 minutes in line to be told it would be a two hour wait because its held in their fax. (What does that even mean ) !!! I had to return to work so i thought Okay i will return after my shift (around 6pm) again waiting in a 15-20 minute line to be told they are out of stock of the antibiotics!!!! Omg ! Really irritated The pharmacist himself told me here the prescription name call around and when you find a Walgreens that has it in stock call us back and we will transfer it . (Whattt the !???!!!) I called fidelity they were very nice about having transferred it for me As soon as I drove from Hollister to gilroy they had no line ! patient and happy to help ! read more

I go to Walgreens frequently to have blood work done. They are always professional and very kind to me. Unfortunately, the last two times i have been in I have had a awful experience, First of all I always make an appointment on line so I do not have to wait and each time there is a note on the door saying it is closed. They should of at least called me and told me not to come in that they were closed. Or the appointment should of never been made in the first place.. These blood tests are very important and I could of went elsewhere, I do not live in town so this makes a hardship for me. read more

Placed a simple print job for a one page document for two copies of it was supposed to be ready for pickup at 7:40 p.m. at 9:00 p.m. I call and the girl went in printed it and then said oh it's ready for pickup. They weren't going to print it until I called so I don't know why I bothered placing an order online. They're incompetent it took them 5 minutes to answer the phone were service of any store I've ever been in. read more

My only issue was with employee Clarissa, oh very unprofessional, rude, and sloppy. Did not acknowledge me, send a text message before helping me out. The Walgreens staff was incredibly unprofessional and rude. The girls working cared more about their conversation than helping the ONLY customer in line. Extremely unprofessional and used awful language while speaking to one another. Im assuming the manager or supervisor (she was wearing a different shirt than the rest) working was no different and lacked professionalism. It was almost ridiculous at how terrible they were. This is the worst Pharmacy! They never have my wife's maintenance anti-seizure medication even thought we have been getting it there for the last 6 years. They always blame her Doctor, but the doctor provides proof they sent the authorization over already. They could not careless about the patient. After going in there and talking to the pharmacist they found a few days worth of meds. Why did they not offer that up in the beginning. If your meds are important for your health and life, go to a different pharmacy. read more

Honest review: The pharmacy sucks!!! Every time without exception they do not have enough stock to fulfill my meds. They are common meds, not specialty items. Sometimes they walk by people in line and don't help them. All I here is people complaining each time I come. I'm sitting next to a person in the waiting area that got called to pick up her meds and they weren't even ready. Sad service all around!! Moving my prescriptions elsewhere. Just want to say that this Walgreens is not very good for helping people! My boyfriend had an appointment for a shingles vaccine at 8:30am. It had been confirmed by email and he even had a copy of the confirmation on his phone with all the information. When he got to pharmacy for the appointment he was asked to fill out a form. Was having a problem with entering but the girl didn't offer any help. He was told they didn't have his appointment on record. So what's the use in making an appointment and then pharmacy not having a record even after sending out confirmation emails???!!! I waited in line behind four other customers. The checkout lady was dealing with a photo customer, and 15 minutes went by with no help. During this time, two other employees were behind the counter doing NOTHING. I politely asked if one could ring us up. Both said NO. If I could give zero stars, I would. As I type this, I have been on hold on a landline phone for an hour and 28 minutes!!! There has been two callers ahead of me for an hour and 28 minutes! To make matters worse, I called up to the front of the store from my cellphone and when I told the girl that I had been on hold for over an hour, her response was "yeah?" Yeah b**** . Review is for both pharmacy and photo. The pharmacy takes 20 minutes no matter what time or what day you go to pick up, I have also ordered online then when I go to pick up the next day or day after the prescription is still not ready. I have to come back wait in line again it can be a waste of half my day waiting on RX. Photo Dept. you are supposed to be able to get same day pickup but it always takes at least three days when I try to order something. It's usually for a child's homework project so it would be great if I could actually get the homework done by the next day but I often have to use Walmart and make a trip to Gilroy because this location never has photo paper. I have called the store twice for two different projects and it's always the same, we don't have any photo paper. Whoever orders it needs to be on top of it and order accordingly. Yesterday I tried again just got the homework project and tried to order pictures for homework due Friday, however the soonest pickup is Sunday! The drive through pharmacy is one of the longest I've ever sat in, this is the 5th time coming through the drive through, at a minimum it's taken 20 minutes. Now one car has been at the window for 22 minutes this time. There needs to be some efficiencies put into place I would recommend using another pharmacy moving forward. Two thumbs down read more

This place is a complete joke. Do not have your prescriptions sent here! I went in today at 4:30 because they close at 6. I get there and an employee is blocking entry to the line because she said they were closing a half hour early due to staffing and how busy they were. I deliberately went an hour and a half before closing time to ensure that I would have my medicine for tonight. There were about 5 people in line and with an hour left to "unofficially" close, I couldn't get my medicine. Thank you for that, Walgreens. After reading the majority of these reviews, I see this is an extremely common problem. Listen, if you can't run a business the right way then just shut it down. You have your hours posted yet you guys close whenever you feel like it. This is a pharmacy, not a garage sale. I've already contacted my doctor to move my prescription elsewhere. I don't appreciate going to the pharmacy and being treated like I am a drug seeker. I went to pick up a prescription for pain medicine because I have had multiple surgeries, and I am living in chronic pain. The pharmacist, Akram, asked me why I needed this pain medication, which I usually get filled at Costco in Gilroy. I told him that I had multiple surgeries which did not work out and I am living in chronic pain. He said to me that the surgery should have fixed my problem. And then he rolled his eyes at me and said that the doctors reason for filling the prescription was vague and it just said chronic pain. he treated me like I was just there trying to get pain medication because I wanted it to get high. If I wanted to get high, I would go to a dispensary and get legal cannabis products that would get me high. But that's not what I need. I need pain medication and the only reason I went to Walgreens was because Costco was out of stock and I was out of pain medication which I need. I felt disrespected and he was very unprofessional. I will never go to this pharmacy again after this prescription is filled. I just need it and Costco was out of stock. read more

Pharmacy is a joke! Lines for drive through are at least 45 min when they are open and inside is just as bad! Recently had meds filled and the pharmacy's been closed! This pharmacy is a joke!! Absolute worst service! Keep customers waiting to pick up medication for days. I came three days in a row and they shut down whenever they want too! They say lunch is between 1:30pm to 2:00pm but as if now its 2:15 with nobody in sight and at least 15 people waiting. After deciding I couldn't return to Walgreens because of their random closures and long wait times, I discovered it was easier to have them mail me my meds than to switch pharmacies because of my insurance. This worked well for a few months...UNTIL... it didn't. Today, I've been on the phone for 3.5 hours to find out why my refill has been frozen in cyberspace for days. Still haven't talked to anyone. Walgreens in Hollister is so crappy. Their pharmacy runs like crap. I was told to wait 45 minutes for my meds and I waited like a dumbass. After waiting they said it would be another hour and they would call me. 2 more hours later they still didn't call. they do the same thing to my wife every time. Today we went in to pick up her meds and there was this old lady waiting for over 45 minutes for her meds that were supposed to be ready two days ago. Wow. I've lived here for two years. At least I can say they are consistent. Consistent with being totally disorganized. I dropped off a Rx about three hours ago. They told me to return after two hours. I did. Nope my scripts are not ready. Told me they need 15 mins to fill them. So I'm waiting with about 3 other people in the same boat as me. I also called once yesterday and twice today to check on another script that my dr said they had called in yesterday. They told me every time they had no record of one being called in. But magically they now have it. Scary to think this place is filling prescriptions. Sadly I've got much more stories to share from the past few years but I'll spare you. Never more than one cashier working at a time and they never seem to know what they are doing, photo department rarely gets photo orders done on time, the entire staff at this location needs to be retrained. Absolute WORST!!! Tried to work with the pharmacist and my insurance company on the phone to get a vaccination for college and he kept insisting that we needed a number that did not exist. The insurance company was on the phone with me and my daughter and him and he still rejected her and said we had to pay CASH or nothing...VERY RUDE about it as well. I have NEVER had any issue with my Blue Cross PPO top of the line coverage insurance EXCEPT HERE and NEVER had a pharmacist be so RUDE and NOT want to help work something out....NEVER will I go again for ANYTHING at Walgreens anywhere!! DONE! Update: Just to verify this PCN number i supposedly needed, i made two more calls to my insurance company to see what this number was. They both gave me the same number that I gave this pharmacist. He said it was wrong! Insurance said that it was not needed anyway to process again so either he was so involved in being rude to my daughter and me...smirking and chuckling he just didn't care or he was entering something wrong and just didn't care. At the end of the day....it was obvious....he just didn't care!!
